I travel a lot with my job job and therefore get to stay at many different hotels. I can easily say that this hotel offered the highest level of service and had the most friendly and helpful staff that I have experienced from any hotel for a very long time. This combined with an ideal location that is perfectly safe and quiet, I will be happy to give my best rating for this hotel for any traveller. My family and I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights and never got tired of the food as tremendous variety. At the same time we were always met with a smile from especially waiters/waitresses and from the concierge. Can't wait to go back!

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

What Our Customers Are Saying

"Great holidays....."
Very clean top location hotel.Staff is very friendly and ready to help in any case.High quality cleaning standats, even without tips. Just food variety can be improved, particularly breakfast. Good hotel for good value.....
"Good value"
The hotel has a very good value for the money you pay in Cancun. If you are not looking for the expensive "all inclusive" resorts, this is the place. We just had breakfast at the hotel, because the rest of the time we travelled to places like Tulum, Chichen Itza and Merida. If we had paid full board we would have wasted it.
"Clean,safe,friendly hotel"
My friend & I stayed at this hotel from March 29 to April 5th. We found it to be a very clean & safe hotel. Because it is small the staff got to know us and kept an eye on us all week. Everyone went out of there way to be friendly and speak a few words of English to us. Having a big smile and handing out candy does help but the fact that we wanted to try out our spanish and appreciated all there hard work went even further. We were the only English speaking people at the hotel for 4 days and we kind of enjoyed our special status and felt we were having a more Mexican vacation. The food was awesome for breakfast - they have an omellet guy named Roby who makes great eggs anyway you want. All of the mostly male waiters at the buffet were great and really made us feel at home- Laventado, claudio, and Rikcardo especially. It was a buffet so we coukd always find something to eat. If not we asked for fries and they happily got them for us. The bar man makes a great pina colada.they have health drinks in the morning- people may think that they don't taste good but that is because there is no sugar added. The sangaria is excellant as well. You need to wear your all inclusive bracelet as there are others staying on different meal plans. The front desk staff were nothing but wonderful to us - not one were rude or indifferent. Even the security guards struck up conversations with us! It is the second last hotel in the zone going towards downtown so it makes it easy to vist there as well. We got to plaza las America's and it was huge! We enjoyed the shopping in Cancun and being able to travel by bus is great - nerve racking at times but great. Take the ferry over to the isle of women and rent a golf cart for a great day of fun! We went on the sailing tour with the group that is next door for only $65 and it was awesome - we had a great day and lots of laughs. They are very professional and safety conscious.
"Great hotel, awesome staff"
We chose this hotel online when we were looking for a hotel which would accept our dog. Traveling through Mexico to another destination. Originally we were staying only a few nights, but the teachers strike blocked the highway south of us, and we ended up staying longer. Although this particular hotel catered less to North Americans than some others, the staff were excellent, the food was good, rooms were clean and spacious, and everyone tried their best English with us! If you are looking for a dog friendly hotel ... This is it! They even gave us a treat bag for our dog when we checked in! How thoughtful!
"Fun in the sun w/local flavor"
This was not what you would call a high end or 5 star hotel, but what it lacked in upgrades they certainly made up for in service. Our room was modest but clean and the view was amazing. The staff were over the top. We were treated very well by bar staff, wait staff, front desk, valet, and housekeeping. This had the all inclusive option which worked out well for us. All day on the beach, drinks readily came. A couple of nights we went into to for dinner for a change of pace. We did feel like the minority coming from the states. It seemed like a lot of the hotel guests were local or from Mexico, but everyone seemed to help us with translating Spanish. to English. One night we went to a show at the hotel with loads of culture and beautiful costumes. This was not my first time in Cancun but was my first time at a resort property with the wonderful local flavor this one came with. The water had some seaweed so not like the water down the strip but sand was still white and felt like baby powder. I left my prescription reading glasses and the staff have gone above and beyond to get them shipped to me.
"Small hotel, beautiful view from balcony, nice beach."
This Holiday Inn is not within walking distance from any restaurants or shops or Cancuns commercial area. Rooms are big, clean and nice, view from balconies is beautiful, buffet is very good and plentiful. Small family hotel, convenient and nice to rest and enjoy the beach. However, no service after 10 PM, either in the bar or the restaurant.
"I really recommend this hotel if you're in Cancun!"
The service at front desk was great. Friendly and efficient. My stay was well enjoyed!!! I would recommend this place for an all inclusive as they do hv that option available. They have ocean view from the rooms as well.
"Out of the way but otherwise comfortable stay"
Firstly, it is a decent drive and very long walk from where all the action is in Cancun. However the bus runs regularly and if splitting a cab between 4 was only about $6US each so no real problem, just depends what you're wanting out of the stay. The property itself, clean, comfortable, relatively modern and nicely furnished. The on site store is well stocked and quite well priced compared to the rest of Cancun. Staff were friendly and helpful when I needed to organise a cab. Pool and beach location nice and relaxing. The rooms can be a decent walk from the lobby so keep that in mind if staying with a group, you may end up a long way from one another!
"Comfortable Stay at the Holiday Inn"
I was not sure of what to expect when I last-minute booked this property in Cancun. I needed to be close to downtown to run several errands while enjoying my stay in beautiful Cancun, the land of the Maya. I am very familiar with Cancun and most of its hotels both in downtown and in the Hotel Zone, because I have been traveling to Cancun for the past 15 years. My budget was a bit tight this time and because I could not plan ahead of time my options were limited. I totally trusted a local recommendation from a resident and booked the Holiday Inn Arenas located right at the beginning of the Hotel Zone and only five minutes away from downtown Cancun and all of its great bars and shopping malls. I did not book the all-inclusive option because I tend to have reservations on all-inclusive packages (but thats a totally different review). When I arrived at the Hotel I asked Alejandro at the front desk to give me a comfortable and pretty room since I was traveling alone (as I often do and love to). He immediately offered a beautiful room with an ocean view. Alejandro was cordial and incredibly professional. My room was spacious, clean and it had a great balcony with an ocean view. The hotel is framed by two small ports where small yachts and boats come and go taking tourists scuba diving and snorkeling so the view of the ocean is a bit blocked but beautiful nonetheless. Nearby, theres a public beach so locals walk back and forth and local vendors offer a few items for sale at the beach. I personally enjoyed the mix of patrons at this hotel and I have to give them an A- in service. The only reason they dont get an A+ is due to one of the waiters that tends the snack bar at the beach, who was unprofessional by making a misogynist sexist joke that offended me. Other than this immature jerk, the rest of the service was above average and went beyond my expectation. The hotels installations are impeccably clean and the security is tight. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone whose budget is tight and would like to experience a modest, clean and very professional property that includes free WiFi access among its many amenities.
"If you want to see Mexico when visting Cancun..."
I stayed 3 days in this hotel due a business trip to Cancun in May and, to be honest I was surprised, taking in consderation some previous comments I saw at tripadvisor. The hotel is not in the "touristic area" of Cancun, but is not so far from there -in case you want to find a good restaurant or mall. The water at the beach in front of the hotel is not blue (it has a clear green color) but is clean, hot and calm. The rooms are quite confortable, the bed is good. In this hotel you will find several mexican families on vacations - something difficult at the majority of the hotels in the "touristic" Kukulcan Boulevard area. The price is good, the breakfast is modest but honest, the room is clean, the restaurant could be better but is not so problematic. My suggestion: if you want to "visit Mexico" when travelling to Cancun, you can consider this hotel - you will be very well received by Mexicans and will feel at home even being several hours away from your country.
"Wee slice of heaven just far enough n close enough to the madness of spring break"
My mum and i had a great holiday here. Im booking up for next may i liked it that much ! You get more than what u pay for here. The bar staff were amazing very attentive the pool bar is the best great for nipping in and out of the pool and sea whilst people watching. My mums disabled and they bent over backwards for us. If your booking trips use the agents in the main lobbey theyre very trustworthy and informative pkus after each trip asked us how we got on. Please make your own mind up n dont listen to the negative reviews go forrit and enjoy it. !!!!!
"Great time and a wonderful staff!"
Stayed at this resort from March 22 - March 26th, room 2302, very large room overlooking the pool and sea. We had the mini kitchen with fridge, sink, 2 burner cook top and microwave. Room was large and very clean, (no mold to be found). The noise around the pool area was a little bit loud, but didn't bother us too much. Lots of locals and kids there, it was spring break. The Staff were so good to us. (we did tip often and treated the employees with lots of smiles and respect as they work very hard to please). A HUGE shout out to Manual and Angel at the lobby bar!! Best ice cold beer and popcorn. Lots of shots of tequilla!! :) The snack bar at the adult pool, wonderful. Eddie kept us very happy with wonderful nachos and drinks. The location of the resort is nice and quiet. Buffet food was OK, go early for breakfast to beat the crowds.
"A quiet stay in Cancun"
Recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Cancun Arenas. Had an Oceanfront smoking room (only on the balcony). Very clean and the bed was comfortable. Amenities in the room were very good but did not have a fridge in the room, which would have been very welcome. This is an all inclusive resort, so you have to book the specialty restaurants on arrival. The italian was the best to eat at we found. The buffet food was ok, I would not rave about it, but for the price it satisfied our means. All alcohol was included (except the high end stuff) so we lived on beer, pina coladas and margaritas, yum. The breakfasts were very good, with a chef cooking eggs and omellettes to order. The buffet can get very busy in the morning so I suggest you have breakfast early rather than around 9.00am. The beach area was very clean and there is also an adult pool which was quite relaxing. This hotel is a 15-20 minute ride to a large shopping mall. Taxis were convenient as well. When you arrive at the airport go to the taxi desk just before you leave the terminal and they will quote you the price to the hotel and if you book a return trip it will work out cheaper buying it this way. There is a tour desk in the hotel lobby and the prices were on par with other hotels. This area of Cancun was a lot quieter than further up where all the larger hotel chains are and the beaches are more crowded.
"Another awesome trip to Cancun"
Let me start by saying that after reading all the reviews (prior to our trip) I was a little affraid, I didn't know what to expect but we had a wonderful time. My sister and I (both in our late tweenties),stayed at the Holiday Inn from February 26 to March 5, 2013, I have nothing bad to say about this place BUT don't expect to arrived at the resort and party like rock star because this place is nice and quiet, very family oriented. It was perfect for the two of us, join the day we enjoyed the beach and the pool. At night we will hit the Club (10 mins bus ride, very convenient) with our nice friend Jesus (entertainer on the resort). He sure knows how to show the guest a good time (he's awesome). If you are young and looking for lots of entertainment join the day, I would recommend you stay at the Oasis, because the Holiday Inn, is not a party resort. The staff were extremely nice and they always make sure you are well look after. I honestly do NOT have anything negative to say about this hotel. We have a nice room with balcony, our housekeeper Nelly was so great. Free internet at all time, which is a plus.
"Nice place with a very good staff. The people were always to do what we asked.Always with smile and very good attention.T"
Ask the staff in the lobby....They have always good suggestions. The restaurant is really nice and all the merchandise were good made, with tasty,...and we can eat all what we desire...and we can have a good wine too "Shiraz of Chile". The personal was on the top at any time.
"Clean and Modern"
I was reluctant about staying here after readinfg some bad reviews. However this was a PriorityClub Rewards free night. I was giving a ocean front room with balcony. Very clean and modern with lovely view ... I ate at the buffett (all inclusive ) and found it to be fine.... many choices... Staff was friendly and helpful..Very enjoyable stay... Only negative would be they played music on/near the beach untill about 10:30 at night. I asked the mgr and he said he would give me another room if i wanted.. I chose not to because i likes my ocean front room..
"much better than expected !"
after reading the review i was a little concerned about staying at this Holiday Inn ! However, disregard many of them, because I think the negatives come from extremely picky people that are maybe used to a 5 star hotel. My wife and I stayed here and I stayed using my points and opting to pay extra for the all in-clusive. I did everything on-line and did not have any problems at all. Check in was perfect and check out was perfect. The food and drinks were all great ! We even watched a show in the evening with dinner. Everything kinda starts at 10:00 am. and goes til late in the evening. Again, we absolutely had no problems ! This is very convienent to walmart and the grociery store chadeau. Chadeua is a great super store and is cheap ! The downside to this grociery store as well as the hotel is that there are not may english speaking. The hotel is filled with many Europeans and / or spanish speaking. If you are not comfortable with this then you shouldn't go. You will definitely be the minority if you are from the U.S. as we were the only americans. The beach was descent, however it's in a cove so the waves are big and it is quiet. The swimming area isn't extremely large, but it has a trampoline and is supervised by a lifegaurd. This is an awesome place for the money ! It's the best deal we have had and it's our 7th. trip. Again, don't expect perfection, but it's beautiful, fun and safe. Yes, it is a long bus ride to down town ( about 20 minutes. ) about 10 minutes to walmart. It's convienent to Purotoa Juraez where u can take a ferry to isle majurus island. this is the cheapest ferry ride at about $ 6.00 US. one way. Not many americans here either if this is a concern. So if you stay here just enjoy the culture and the friendly people. try to brush up your spanish a little. it's definitely more for probably couples and families. not a party hotel
"Small yet... What you need :D"
The fastest check-in ever in my life!!!! That was a plus.... Buffet is alright... can't complain :) Activities are fun..... The only thing... they gotta work on!!! windows, borders, doors, screws ect ect. some of them are rotten and oxidize because of the beach breezzz....
"Very satisfied"
I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. It was all inclusive and the meals were good. They weren't great, but not having to go out and find places to eat was definitely a benefit. It was right on the bus line and that made travel easy. The room was very clean with stark white floors. The view of the beach from my room was excellent. The staff try to make you feel as though you are at a large active resort even though you are not. It was a cute experience.
"Great budget hotel in Cancun, a little far from everything though"
We checked into the Holiday Inn Arenas as part of our contiki tour and stayed for 3 nights. The room was very clean and well maintained, the breakfast was pretty good with quite a bit of variety. The pool was small but nice, but we could not swim in the beach behind the hotel. There was one washing machine and dryer for the entire hotel but it was really cheap to use which was great. The AC stopped working once but a technician came up to fix it within half an hour of calling front desk. If you want to go to any of the main clubs or restaurants you would be looking at paying about $7-10 each way in a taxi. And make sure you keep your wrist band on otherwise security will not let you into the resort!!
