I stayed at here in October and we had so much fun we decided to go again in January for my birthday. I'm so happy we did. I can tell you from the moment we arrived we felt at home. "Great Value Holiday"
This is the first time in over 30 years of travelling that we have returned to the same hotel. We had no plans to go on holiday in December but when we saw the price on offer and having enjoyed our last trip to Temptation we jumped at the chance. There is a varied mix of people with most being in the over 40's age bracket. We would lie at the quiet pool and walk round to the sexy pool at certain times of the day to watch the pool games which can be a bit risque but if not your cup of tea then either stay at the quiet pool or go onto the nice sandy beach. The food was first class . I had really excellent steaks at the Italian and Caribbean and really enjoyed the Tex Mex and Asian also.You only need to book for the Asian and the Italian which is quite straight forward using the telephone in your room. You can visit the A La Carte restaurants officially 3 times each during your stay but we visited some 4 times without any issue. You can also visit the Tex Mex for an A La Carte lunch. We only went to the buffet for breakfast where you can get smoked salmon and delicious ham on the bone which the chef will carve for you. There is also a full bar service available at breakfast. People we met dined only in the buffet in the evening and said it was excellent due to the choice and quality of food. The rooms are very clean and well maintained with the mini bar being replenished each day. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with nothing being to much trouble for them although the guys at the sexy pool bar must wonder at some of the antics of these crazy gringos. We have been to Mexico 12 times over recent years with this being our 2nd consecutive visit in December The weather both times was rather disappointing. Last year we had quite a bit of rain and although we did not have as much rain this time there was a strong breeze which made it feel quite chilly when the sun was behind the clouds. The sun was only out in the afternoon until 4pm due to it going behind the buildings. All in all we enjoyed our 2nd trip to Temptation.
"Beyond Expectations!!!"
Just returned from celebrating my 30th birthday in Cancun and spent 4 nights at this resort. If you are looking for a GREAT party resort, Temptations is definitely the spot for you. They cater for all persons, whether you are looking to party every night or to have quiet down time, Temptations offer that service. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and customer oriented and friendly. Our Butler Luis and Antonio were exceptional. They went out of their respective ways to ensure that our needs were met and they must be highly commended for this. If you are into water sports activities then Jose and his team are the people to visit. Located on the beach front Jose and his team take their job seriously whilst ensuring that the guests have a superb and safe time out on the sea. Jose was also extremely helpful in giving pointers on the places to venture to outside the Hotel. TEN stars for the food served at the different restaurants at Temptations (we tried all). Il Piacere hands down the best however (love of Italian good is the sole reason for the raving reviews). The ambience, the service, the food, the decor makes Il Piacere stand out. There is a quiet pool and other activities offered for persons who are not interested in the nightly entertainment. The spa is a MUST do. The services offered are top notch and one should take advantage of the steam room and the jacuzzi. This review would not be complete if I fail to mention that Temptations Resort offers time shares and guest are subjected to entertain the persistent sale people for at least an hour or two.The trick is if you are not interested in buying into the time share is to be firm and decline. Hats off to the Management and Staff of Temptations Resort for ensuring that I had a fabulous 30th birthday and stay in Cancun.
"Fun Fun Fun"
So we have all heard the rumors, and all have made judgment on this resort, but honestly it is just a good fun adult resort, if you love to dance all night. My wife and I traveled to Temptations in November of 2013 with a group of friends for a birthday party. It was one of the best vacations we have ever had. Our group probably had an average age in the mid to late thirties. The atmosphere in this resort was absolutely fabulous. It is very well rounded, and meet people from all walks of life and all ages. If you love to dance into the wee hours of the morning then this is the place to go. The DJ kept the party going with some good dance music all night. The bar was flowing and the atmosphere is awesome. They have a nightly themed game or show that can get a bit naughty but never overdone. The pools and restaurant were fantastic, the food is what you could expect from a higher quality all inclusive resort. Every day the housekeeper made us a little display from towels on our bed.
"THE Party Resort"
Myself and two buddies just spent 4 days here. It's a party! You see a lot of reviews that say that it's a swingers resort and we were a little worried getting there. We didn't see that at all although we did see a lot of couples and not a ton of single women. Watch out for the timeshare lady, do your best to get out of it, they do the hard sell, ply you with booze and the lot. If you're expecting a 5 star room well let's just say this is a minor step above a Holiday Inn as far as the rooms go. Food was pretty decent. Sexy pool is a party from about 1pm on, lots of topless women which at first surprises you but after a day it's just a normal thing. There Paty O Bar is a happening place in the evening and they have a guy there each night to take people off-campus to the clubs like Coco Bongo, Senor Frogs, Mandala. Georgia one of the activity girls was the best and such a sweetheart!
"Holiday 2014 into 2015"
The most fantastic holiday ever!!! We have been spoiled at temptation.Compliments to the entertaining staff around the pool.Every night was a party atmosphere electric.Shows was excellant.The bartenders and restaurant staff excellant.Food quality cannot be compared it s fantastic.Will be back Wherever we go we can reccomend a stay at Temptation.Arno &Tania
"Adult fun with an edge:)"
If your expecting North America standards and the Ritz you'll be disappointed.The food is inconsistent and just ok, a 3. The hotel itself is 3.5. Clean but dated.The service is 4 but super friendly. The entertainment is ok, but the guests themselves are really the entertainment ! Most are very comfortable in their own skin. If you're looking for spring break for adults, no kids, a sexy vibe, at an affordable price, this is it. Whether it's quiet pool, a wild pool party, or turquoise water and white sand you'll find it there. The majority are married 35-45 yr olds who are open mined. There are singles, gays, lesbians...you name it from primarily Canada, US and Britain.There are the incredibly fit and those who couldn't care less:) If you are the jealous type or judgmental this is not the place for you. 50% of the women go topless. No one minds either way. In the evenings, women dress in everything from very edgy club dresses and 6 inch stilettos to jeans and sandals. Many of both the men and women participate in the theme nights which creates a cool vibe. To participate in the lingerie casino event you have to be wearing lingerie or boxers. It runs from very conservative to very wild! The people you'll meet are a lot of fun. By the way...it's called Temptation for a reason!:)
"Saucy and Fun"
I wish I could have stayed longer. The property is immaculate, the staff are some of the best I've ever experienced, and I have traveled, and the other guests were a delight. I had really good air conditioning for the whole 10 days I was there and the best maid ever (Elvira). And the food in all six restaurants was delicious for what it was. I would go back next week and stay a month!
"Best time ever! Even though I was alone haha! (Jan 4-9)"
Booked this trip 2 days before I left. Had no one to go with but decided I needed to leave -15 degrees Celsius in Canada. I arrived and it was 30 degrees. They gave me 3 drinks within 10 minutes of being there. I then went to my room and drank 2 beers from the mini fridge. Met people instantly. Went on the group trip out to Coco Bongo's which was pretty amazing. The sexy pool is amazing. I didn't eat too much as I felt full from the beer. Definitely fell in love here haha. It was crazier than I thought it would have been. So much fun though. If you want to party a lot and are looking for nice weather go there. If you are looking to relax you should probably find a quieter resort.
"Fantastic part of the world...."
I came here in September with some friends for 10 days and I have to say we had a great time! The hotel was great, right on the beach with loads to do. The staff were really good as was the food and drink. Not a quiet place to stay but ideal if you want to party. I wish I stayed longer.....
"Amazing"
We had a great time at Tempations. I was a little hesitant at first from ready the reviews but it ws one of the best vacations we have had the food was great they had great choices. The employees were amazing always in a great mood and willing to help. The bartenders were right on top of everything never really had to wait for a drink. The housekeeping staff were so great our room was spotless they did a great job everyday no matter when we left the room and they made adorable towel animals for us and we had a different one every day We met so many nice people there and hated to leave I cant wait to go back next year. Thank you Temptations for an amazing time
"Loads of fun!"
If you are looking for a great time and meet some fun people, this is the place for you. I think if you are a premium member, you will enjoy yourself more. I think that it was frustrating to those who weren't when it was difficult to get a reservation at some of the four restaurants they had. For those that are premium, myself included, you will always get a seat. The food was great and so was the service. There were many activities and we had a great time. It is definitely for open-minded people that like to party and have a great time. If you want a quiet getaway, this is not the place for you.
"Perfect for our honeymoon"
Overall Temptations was a wonderful experience. When we got there we chose a quiet room which was good for us. The room was a little cold and we learned they don't have heaters but they immediately brought up blankets. We tried all of the restaurants and we were only displeased with one Margaritas. The Italian restaurant was very romantic and the Caribbean restaurant was perfect to look out into the ocean. I got a temporary tattoo and the tattooist was very friendly. We chose to do the Tulum/Hidden caves tour. It was a great experience except for the driver was going well over a hundred and I was pretty nervous. We relaxed and enjoyed the sun and water and me t many new people. The best employee we met was Oliver!! He made our stay a hundred times better. Out of the little things that happened the worst was when we had to do the meeting so they could try to sell us a package for the resort. We politely said no more than once and then we finally were stern. I was completely comfortable with the topless option and happy with the service. My honeymoon was very unforgettable and I am already planning my trip back!
"First time to Temptations!!!"
First time here with my husband and it was great! We went during the naughty school girl week in July. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to have ALOT of fun. Yes it is topless optional but once you get there and kinda get the feel of the way things are... you feel weird when you get back the states because you have put clothes back on. Bring some cool cute crazy outfits youll be glad you did :) the staff was very helpful. Im a really picky eater and I love the food. Bring tums for sure. This place plays games at different parts of the day. Which the staff does help everyone get involved. Every day and every night you play games and theme nights at night. Ive read some of these reviews and they say get a room away from the party o lounge OMG don't do it. We were up the first staircase by the lounge and yes its loud but your closing the party down every night anyway so once you get to your room its quiet. Plus your so close to your room and don't want to walk a mile to get back to your room. Your not spending a lot of time in your room here so just go, you will have the time of your life!!!!
"The most fun you can have in cancun"
I have been to Temptation Cancun 4 times now and I will continue going back! The resort is modern, clean and small enough that you don't feel overwhelmed. There is always some sort of dining options available no matter what time it is and the staff make the whole experience very personable by remembering your name and your drink preference. The property is very beautiful, offering 3 different pools plus the gorgeous white sand beach, so if you don't feel like joining in the crazy fun you have options to go relax. This resort is a great place to go if you are looking for an easy going crowd to party with. I don't recommend visiting it if you are a prude, at times it can get a little wild... But then again you are on vacation ;)
"Hoping to go back ASAP!"
My review is a little late but I went 2 yrs ago. Cant wait. The staff and the people we met there were just awesome. 50/50 topless I would say. Theme nights were great! Loved the vibe and open-mindedness around the place. Would recommend this place to any couples, or singles, looking to spice things up! Enjoy!!
"Made us better people"
This may sound ridiculous to those of you that have never been to this resort and maybe even to some of the regulars, but we credit Temptation with making us better people. While neither of us ever considered ourselves to be racist, discriminating or judgmental, without even knowing it was happening, we bettered ourselves in each of those categories. We have met some of the coolest and most genuine people here! Whether it be taking pics for a same sex couple enjoying dinner, morning conversations at the pool with a cross dresser or talking football with a professional body builder, it's all part of the experience here! You'll cross the paths of all races and most nationalities. Enjoy the experience. You'll learn something, guaranteed. Nobody is here to judge you, so don't judge them. All shapes, colors and sizes are welcome! During your stay strike up a conversation with a bartender or a waitperson and give a morning greeting to someone in housekeeping. With most you'll get more enjoyment than taking an off resort excursion and you will likely walk away knowing that you just made a friend. Mingle and don't be afraid to say 'Hi'. Don't judge, just enjoy. Last but not least, dance like nobody is watching.
"Great trip friendly staff"
Temptations is a relaxing different experience. For people that like to go topless its perfect and no one cares or makes a big deal of it. Fun shows and good food. The specialty restaurants are excellent. This is not Secrets, the rooms are not as nice, nor are the pools but if its fun your looking for this is better. We started out in a room near the marina and had to move to the quite pool side of the resort due to the all night parties. We are planning to go back in February All ages, sizes and personalities. If your adventurous you will have fun. If your a fuddy duddy don't go..
"Nice for us people who love to kick it!"
If you like partying, you will like this place. I've been twice; once before it was named Temptation, but both times were great! Great staff, decent food, nice visitors, Channel 13, etc. It's right on a street where you can easily take a bus or cab to whatever party spots you like. Even if you just want to relax and enjoy the resort's festivities, you'll have a great time. I would stay there again if I return to Cancun for vacation.
