We booked a 2 bed apartment but now that we have been a 1 bed would have been more than sufficient - the apartments are absolutely huge. This is a lovely spacious clean hotel with very helpful staff. We didn't eat in the hotel at all but the room, layout, pool etc were all great and we will definitely return to stay here again.

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

    What Our Customers Are Saying

    Written Review

    "Second great stay"
This was our second visit to these apartments and we were not disappointed. The location is great, the complex and apartments are clean and well equipped, and the staff are friendly and efficient. As mentioned in other reviews the flight path for the airport is close to the apartments but once you get used to the low flying aircraft you hardly notice them, in fact they are quite a sight. try for an apartment overlooking the pool area as they catch the sun from midday through until sunset. We were self catering and found the kitchen to be well equipped, there was even washing up liquid, a scouring pad and tea towels provided. Free wifi throughout the reception area was reliable and didn't feel the need to pay for faster access which is available if required. Didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on the quality of the food. Easy walk into San Blas and Los Abregos (heading north) and about one hour walk to Costa de Silencio, and a bit further to Galletas, to the south--.along coastal tracks. The Irish bar about 100m from the apartments is decent entertainment throughout the week and the drinks prices are reasonable. Only area for suggested improvement would be a disco once or twice a week in the entertainment area. Will definitely return.
"Huge apartments, very clean, great staff"
We booked a 2 bed apartment but now that we have been a 1 bed would have been more than sufficient - the apartments are absolutely huge. This is a lovely spacious clean hotel with very helpful staff. We didn't eat in the hotel at all but the room, layout, pool etc were all great and we will definitely return to stay here again.
    "Large apartment"
5 night stay via Jet2.com, the hotel is spacious as was the apartment. Clean tidy and well appointed. I need to say here that there was a very loud protest by the trade union representing the cleaning and domestic staff, (it didn't impinge on my holiday but its worth noting for other travellers) They are working 10 hour days without a break, on zero hours contracts and at less than the EU minimum rates. Despite all this our apartment was spotless. It faced the pool side and was quiet and sunny almost all the day. We were self catering so I cant comment on the hotel food. We ate out at restaurants in the area Rendevous, Howards, O'Donnells irish bar, all excellent, we also visited The Mill and had the absolute worst Tapas we have ever had in our lives. Bus's were cheap but were never on time, so don't get flustered you just missed the bus they turn up sometimes as long as 1 hour late but the fares are cheap, 1.75 Euro to Los Christianos. Local taxis cheap and quick to arrive. All in all a nice break away for the winter even if the wind was a bit strong the sunshine made up for it.
    "Fantastic Hotel."
Stayed Here With My Family For Christmas and New Year Last Year and We Loved It So Much We Came Back 2014- 2015. The Hotel Is Outstanding All The Staff at The Hotel Are Lovely People. Michael Lamp Fall. The Kids Entertainer Is a Great Guy. He Is Fantastic With All The Children He Does Lots Of Different Activities With Them and All The Children are Having Fun. He's A Nice Person and Very Good With The Kids. The Palmers Love This Hotel It's a Great Place.
    "Great value hotel"
We've just returned from our second stay at the Golf Plaza. It's spotlessly clean with well equipped apartments. We stayed on bed and breakfast which was well worth the extra as there's a good selection on the buffet that includes a cooked breakfast. The pool area is spotless with a bar serving snacks and plenty of sunbeds (with mattresses). This year the pool was heated so we swam on a couple of occasions. It wasn't heated during our visit in January 2014 so maybe they've taken note of the reviews? We booked a 1 bed apartment and were given one that looked out over the back of the hotel. It didn't have any sun all day, but when we raised this with the hotel they were happy to move us with no problem. We chose to upgrade to a 2 bed apartment, this was on the top floor with fantastic views and plenty of sunshine all day. The hotel does need to sort it's wifi out, but it's not a huge issue as you can get free wifi at most bars in the resort. Golf del Sur is a lovely resort, spotlessly clean with good walks on the seafront and a market on Fridays. The only downside is the lack of a beach for kids but it's easy to get to Los Christianos by bus or taxi. We did hear about pickpockets operating at the bus stops but I guess you get that everywhere. We had a great break here and hopefully we'll be back.
    "Great Spot"
Stayed here for a week (09/02/15) , very neat, clean, and tidy. Staff exceptional, and very helpful. Perfect setting for golfers who want to play 3 courses close by, only 3-50 in a taxi to any of the courses. Plenty of bars around here, with them all having happy hours, or happy 3hours at different times, so if you fancy a few beers you'll pay no more than 2-50 , and that's not in happy hour. Plenty of entertainment in the bars, with some good food. If you get s choice of room, always go for a corner one. They're huge, with a massive balcony. Not really great for children though, as there is no beach. On the marine there is a large choice of restaurants, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, etc, etc. There is a local market on a Friday, with plenty of buses into the main resorts, Los Cristianos, Adjece, and Playa Americas. The against the is great at the moment, but nothing is expensive, with good bottles of Riojas from 2. If your going to do a large shop, go up to the Mercadona, it's a good walk, but get a taxi back. Overall a good week. The pools are good for everyone, and very easy to chill out around them. Only one fault, if you like a bath, take you own plug.
    "Ideal location"
Stayed here few times over the last 5 years. Most recent stay was month long in January 2015. Ideal location to explore the island - no real need for hire car as bus stops right outside and travelling is cheap. Also ideal location for golfers - many greens near hotel. Rooms are spacious, and hotel is in a sunny position. New head chef this year, and food is much improved. Friendly staff, and overall enjoyed our months stay away from the British weather!
    "8 Great Days"
We've been to the cordial golf plaza in mid january. We were 5 friends and went self catering base. What a great surprise. We had the most amazing time. The staff at the resort were all ( and i mean all) super polite and professional. From the cleaners to the receptionist. It was a real pleasure staying there. The weather was not always the best but if you want to relax and have a peaceful holiday this is one place to go. One of the receptionist, Luna, gaves us a couple of good tips where to eat well and that was a plus, because there were not many places around to eat well for decent money. All the rooms were huge and clean. Pool area very nice and clean also with a heated and a cold swimming pool. The SPA next door was also nice, not a big one but for the complex was a good extra with massage and other service available. The area around is very safe and overall you can see that everyone involve in the hospitality is looking to give the best. Definetly i will go back.
    "Excellent value for money!"
We have just returned from a nine night stay at this hotel. The weather, to be honest, was a bit grim for Tenerife. Cloudy and chilly topped with an icy breeze! The hotel is designed for warmer weather and we were a bit chilly but I did find out, if I had asked, that I could have got extra blankets. The hotel itself is spotless, it is kept in immaculate condition and you could see the cleaning ladies beavering away every morning. For the price we paid we got amazing value for money and the staff couldn't have tried any harder to keep us happy. We went half board and have no complaints about the food at all. Other guests were commenting that they were surprised at how good it was. The breakfast choice had something for everyone with omlettes and eggs cooked to order. Evening meals were always very good and partly due to the chilly weather and also because it was home made, we really enjoyed the soup!! Dining room staff were really lovely and made our stay. Dining room was also immaculately clean. Nice pool area with sun deck. Half of large pool was warm enough to swim and plenty of guests did, no problem there. Studio apartment had a bus stop right outside so you could actually chat to the passengers and hear them chatting, needless to say we didn't use the terrace. However, it did mean that we knew when a bus was due instead of standing there waiting!! Apartment was also spotless, I cannot believe some of the complaints. TV had four film channels and although we moaned at first, we quite enjoyed some of the old films and mini series. We really enjoyed the old episodes of the Avengers. We didn't mind paying for the wi-fi when we needed it. It's only available in Reception but it is a cheap hotel and you can't expect all the extras when you work out exactly what you have paid for half board, per day. For car hire go to San Blas square to the little place there. Very cheap and friendly. All in all, after coming to Tenerife for 15 years,on and off, a good hotel and extremely good value.
"Very good apart/ hotel in quiet resort"
The reception area of this hotel is very spacious with comfortable seating areas and a water fountain as its centrepiece. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The public areas within the complex were clean and clutter free. The apartment that we stayed in was clean and very spacious with a modern kitchen and bathroom. It had a small terrace that faced out onto the street but felt secluded. There was a lovely communal courtyard right outside our apartment door. The swimming pool area was very smart with 3 pools and a large cafe bar area. There were sunbeds in plentiful supply. As the hotel name implies, the area around the hotel has plenty of golf courses if you wish to spoil a good walk. There are bus stops and taxi ranks directly outside the hotel for those who like to visit different resorts.
    "Great relaxing hotel"
I spent a long weekend at this hotel in November and was really impressed with my stay there. There were just two of us but we were given a lovely large apartment with an actual kitchen, not a kitchenette but a kitchen with oven, fridge freezer and microwave, it was fully equipped with all the utensils you would need. We only used the kitchen to make a cup of tea but if you wanted to cook it would be perfect. We had a great large lounge with dining table, sofa and tv. Our bedroom was large too, we found the beds really comfortable. Our room was on the ground floor and we had an extremely large patio with a table and four chairs and we overlooked pretty gardens. The pool was really cold (apparently its heated from December) but we managed to get in for a quick swim....brrrr! There were ample sunbeds and it was a lovely area to relax and read or doze off! There was a nice little pool bar serving drinks and food. The hotel was by a bus stop which was very handy and was about a 10 minute walk (downhill) to the sea, we loved this area....there were a few restaurants overlooking the sea and the food was really tasty. The receptionist was very helpful with directions and ordering us cabs, he always greeted us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for him. The staff all said hello and our room was changed daily and kept spotlessly clean. We came here for a few days of winter sun and the hotel and location was perfect - I wouldn't hesitate in recommending to anyone!
    "Winter sunshine"
We have just returned from a weeks holiday here. I would highly recommend this hotel its clean and the staff are fabulous. We will return later in the year its a great place to chill. There is a bus stop outside which is great to get around the island
    "Hotel"
I have just returned from a two week holiday at the Cordial Golf Plaza, and cannot fault it for any reason. The staff including everyone were superb. The cleanliness of our apartment was a one. As for places to eat or entertainment I would recommend the Waterfall or any local pub and also the local Hotels are more than happy for you to come and enjoy what entertainment they have on every night. The bus stops right outside the Hotel and they go to a variety of different places. All in all I will definitely book my holiday again at this Hotel as it was money well spent. The local pub Grandee O Donnell caters for all. You can also have a lovely meal at this pub for a very reasonable price. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.
    "Enjoyable friendly hotel"
My wife, two young girls and I stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks. Lovely spacious apartment with all expected facilities. Clean and well kept hotel with free WiFi available. The kids loved the pool and small park, however, we did find very little set up for small children at the hotel and area in general. Michael the Senegalese Animation rep was great,"Yeah man" Local restaurants were cheap and food was of good quality. Our only let down was not seeing a Thomson rep in 2 weeks, very late pick up to get to airport which nearly made us miss our flight home, shame on you Thomsons. To conclude, lovely hotel, relaxing vacation.
    "Lovely"
The hotel itself is lovely and clean with nice spacious rooms however I wouldnt say the location was suitable for those with young children as there is NOTHING to do in the area at all unless you hire a car! Planes fly over the hotel very often and sometimes late at night or in the early hours.
"brilliant week at cordial -highly recommend it"
myself husband and 22 year old daughter have just returned from a brilliant week at the cordial aparthotel- we had a 3rd floor apartment which was so clean, had a massive balcony and very spacious. It was my husbands birthday whilst we were there and the maids kindly gave us a free bowl of fruit and bottle of champagne. Weather was hot &sunny everyday at 22-24 We received a free day pass to the spa next door which is definately worth doing. There are several restaurants a 5 minute walk towards the sea and having read a previous review spent a lot of time at the Aberdeen grill which was 8.95 euros for a 3 course meal, and very friendly service as well as 1 euro for a pint before 6pm. Golf de sur itself is quiet but there is a bus stop outside the hotel to st christianos and player de Americano etc- we will definately go back next year and wish we were still there now
    "A Cheeky 50th Away!"
Arrived at cordial golf plaza on 6th January 2015 for my birthday the day after. What a fantastic treat by by hubby for my birthday. Just what we needed after working all Christmas & New Year. We were geated by "Pol" who was on reception he was very friendly & polite and to be honest he couldn't have been more helpful. We upgraded to an apartment on the top floor which had a geat view of the harbour & sea. Our room was modern and very clean. A Flat screan tv & a microwave have been added since our previousl visit in April 2014. With all kitchen requirements if needed. I must admit golf plaza is a lovely place to stay. Micheal who deals with entertaining the guests does a fab job! So well done Micheal for your continuous dedication! He's always happy to see you and he is such a pleasant man. The hotel does great food, but we actually booked self catering and visited lots of resurants whilst there. One in particular we thoroughly enjoyed was Los Roques which is in Los Abrigos first class food! We enjoyed our stay so much at Cordial Golf Plaza that we have just booked this years summer hoiday there for Two Weeks. I don't know why people leave bad comments about this place. ..I can not fault it. Definitely 4*.
"Mi Casa Es Tu Casa - My House Is Your House!"
This well-known Spanish phrase sums up why we return to this hotel again and again. We feel at home with the very comfortable accommodation, helpful, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. New manager Conchi has had a very positive influence and she is often to be found out and about in the hotel, taking a real interest in the day-to-day running and her team. We would like to give special praise to members of staff who helped make our Christmas and New Year so enjoyable. Pol the reception manager combines efficiency with charm. Angel, Jose, Loli, Ronald, Rainier and Enrique make sure the restaurant is a very pleasant place to be. Maria is brilliant at multi-tasking! Olga our maid and Michael the entertainments manager take such a pride in their jobs. The Christmas and New Year banquets were excellent and really were the icing on the cake. And as the maitre d' said to us - "Mi casa es tu casa"!
"Great!! Don't understand the bad reviews"
We have just returned from Golf Plaza and really don't understand the bad comments!! The hotel is exceptionally clean, staff are really friendly and couldnt do enough for us. Yes it is rather quiet but if this is not what you are looking for go to Americas. We had a 7 year old with us who loved it as there were lots of other kids to play with and the pool was not as cold as other comments have suggested.... we were in and out all day!! Massive thumbs up to Michael (staff) who entertained the kids throughout the day and night and made the little ones holiday. Cristianos and Americas are a short bus ride away and the fishing village of Los Abrigos with outstanding fish restaurants.Lovely hotel, amazing staff, pool was great (not too cold), kids loved it.... we have booked again for July. Take the bad comments with a pinch of salt...
    "Nice winter holiday"
Great apartment, large and clean however we were on the road side and didn't see the sun all day on the very large balcony which was a slight disappointment. Reception were very good at check in and generally helpful. The pool area was very pleasant but the pools were cold, the children really didn't want to get in and if so lasted around 5 mins max. We still sat at the pool area on the days the weather was nice enough and our son joined in the activities, darts, table tennis etc..and water polo if you can handle it! Pool bar lunches are ok, we didn't eat at the hotel restaurant during the week so can't comment. It is a quiet area but a short walk at the harbour or a little further at San Blas are some great restaurants. Mamma Roma was fab, along with Haweli Indian, there is a few Irish bars in the area and a pancake cafe which was good. Partner played both golf courses and seemed to enjoy it. We played crazy golf at the golf del sur course which looked like it needed a lick of paint but was ok to fill a few cloudy hours and in walking distance. Now for the planes.... yes they were overhead all day and very low but they do stop overnight then start again quite early morning but it was all fun! Didn't ruin our holiday anyway. Nice new year holiday for the price we paid.
"A Perfect place for a New Year getaway"
I thought we'd checked into the wrong hotel - the reception was fabulous and spacious - and the staff really friendly too. The room was big, clean and had everything - including washing up liquid supplied in the kitchen area. Two of the three outdoor pools were heated - so swimming was enjoyable even with air temperatures of 18-20 degrees. The one minor niggle was that it was not clearly step when the restaurants were open or not - so we had to wait for lunch... easily fixed with a multilingual sign somewhere. oh, and if you have a coach trip somewhere, you need to turn right out of the hotel main entrance and walk just 50 metres to the public bus stop - this is the only place a 50 seat coach can stop on the one-way street outside the hotel
    "Relaxing Break In Golf Plaza"
My husband and I stayed 3 nights in this lovely aparthotel. The rooms were very specious with a large sitting room and bedroom. Although we didn't eat in, the kitchen was well equipped and had we stayed longer we would have made use of the excellent facilities. The pool area was lovely and well laid out with lots of sun beds of which there were plenty. There were also lovely courtyards around which some of the rooms were situated. The hotel was within walking distance of the lovely town of Los Abrigos. We enjoyed our short break at the Golf Plaza and would certainly stay there again.
    "Great christmas"
Fabulous hotel, very friendly staff, great atmosphere. The food was always very varied and enjoyable at breakfast and evening meal. The Christmas gala was gorgeous, we'll worth the price. The management made a huge effort for Christmas Day with free champagne cocktails for all guests in the evening and lovely gifts for all of the children in the morning. It really made our day and holiday. The staff hotel was spotless and our apartment was huge and very modern much better than I expected. There was plenty of entertainment for the children in the day and the evening and we enjoyed the local bars too. the pool was cold but the kids did go in every day they just could stay in which is a shame. The weather was great. We would definitely go back to this hotel.
    "Excellent hotel"
Just returned from spending Christmas in tenerife. I upgraded to a suite... The rooms were huge. Only one bedroom and a bed settee. Although this was leather it was uncomfortable and needed pillows where the join in the bed was. We never checked out the entertainment in the hotel as we met family out there and sought this elsewhere. The good rating was the housekeeping, they were brill. If we didn't require housekeeping they would change and remake the bed in the evening, replace towels and empty the bin each day. It was quite expensive to eat there, we did so on our first night but after exploring golf del sur we found the Aberdeen Grill. A must to all who go to golf del sur, breakfast for 2.50 for a full English, and I mean a FULL English, or 2.99 for full English grande. Both prices include a drink.. My husband was drinking a pint of ice cold beer with his breakfast! They also sold pints of beer for 1 until 6pm. Their 3 course evening meals were 8.95 which included steaks. Excellent food, highly recommended. Christmas dinner was at Country Kitchen, The Square, golf del sur, a fabulous traditional menu, Turkey with all the trimmings and generous portions, English waitresses, a fab time had by all. The other discovery was the Irish bar just up the road from the hotel. Good atmosphere. Local supermarkets have all the essentials although good to shop around. The price of a huge 5 litres of water was only 1.30 next to golf plaza but at sunningdale supermarket was 2.50. All walkable distances though.
    "Fantastic Christmas Holiday"
We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Cordial Golf Plaza. We were self catering and our apartment (124) was large with a double balcony. The kitchen had all the essentials we needed. The apartment was very clean and we had maid service 5 mornings (inc Christmas Day) which we didn't expect! We had a problem with the door to the balcony not locking which the hotel sorted straight away. The pool area is very clean although we could have done without the smokers that seemed to surround us on a daily basis! The pools were cold but manageable once you were in and it didn't stop the children spending all day every day in them. We ate in the hotel restaurant on Christmas Day following free cocktails in the hotel Reception which was lovely, the food was really nice with plenty of choice! The hotel had lovely Christmas decorations in the Reception which the children loved! The one and only thing for me was the noise below our room in the huge reception area, at night you could clearly hear pool balls being potted and children shouting and running around as if it was a playground! The only reason I didn't complain to reception was because it didn't wake my children or prevent them from getting to sleep had it have done that I would have been straight down there to tell them! All in all we had a great time, the weather was fantastic and we have come back very chilled and ready
