We were looking for a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in Charleston for a short trip to the city, and this Best Western knocked it out of the park! The room was clean, the beds comfy, and the staff kind, helpful, and welcoming. From housekeeping to the front desk to the breakfast attendant, we were treated like valued guests. The location was also awesome. Even during the evening rush it was easy to get downtown and back. It's surrounded by various dining and shopping options as well. If you're looking to a basic hotel for a fair price and attentive hosts, this is your place! We would definitely stay again!

    We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

    "Great hotel if traveling with your dog"
    We were happy to have a clean room with a fridge and microwave. The breakfast was decent compared to other hotels in this price range, and had a really great variety of choices. We were very impressed with the friendly staff. We will stay here again if we come back to Charleston.
    "Meet expectations"
    This is a decent hotel, with clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. I appreciate the room having two separate sinks, which is good for family. there are also plenty of built-in USB ports for charging your phones, ipads, kindles, etc. there is an in-room microwave and small fridge. There are plenty of parking and the staff is very friendly and helpful. However, be aware that, even though the hotel is only 4 miles from the cruise port, French Quarter and City Market, it can take 15-20 mins to get there because of heavy traffic on the Savannah Hwy.
    "Great place outside Charleston"
    We had a great stay here for two nights. The hotel is very close to Charleston so was easy to get in to town for a tour, and for dinner. This is an old hotel with two floors and the doors to the room to the outside - no elevator so if you have issues with stairs as we do ask for a bottom floor. We did and they accommodated us no problem. The room was small but clean and had all the standard amenities. When we got back from Charleston for our second night, the room had been cleaned and made up. Breakfast was good although they don't always refill the hot dishes very quickly. A good stay, would recommend!
    "Easy and Cheap Cruise and Park Package"
    The service was great the night we stayed in the room. Breakfast had plenty of delicious options. Didn't have to wall a mile to smoke. The price for my family hotel stay with Park and Cruise Shuttle was excellent. I will stay here for every port visit!

    "Quaint hotel in a good location, especially if you need to stay a while"
    Clean rooms and great service. Kim, the breakfast attendant, is awesome. She works very hard to ensure the food is always stocked and will get anything you desire immediately if it is not already out. Front desk attendants are also very courteous and helpful. The only recommendation I would have for the dining room is to have a selection of fresh cut fruit in addition to the apples, oranges and bananas that are already offered.
    "Southern hospitality a it's finest"
    Stayed two nights enroute to Florida. Greeted warmly and graciously by reception desk. Room was clean, quiet and spacious. The staff at this location are outstanding! Breakfast was hot, plentiful and delicious. First time and this area and we asked the staff multiple "touristy" questions. They answered us with politeness an patience. t will be on our itinerary to stay at this Best Western again. Keep up the good work and thank your excellent staff for a great stay!

    It has a great location. It is just outside Downtown Charleston on the main road into the center of town. The Airport is only a ten-minute drive away. Considering the prices of hotels in Charleston, this hotel has great value.

    We stayed at three Best Westerns on this trip and this was by far the nicest. Still a motel, but the room was bigger and nicer than average. The free breakfast was good. It's about a 20 minute drive (without traffic) to old downtown Charleston. We had an electric car and there was a charging station just down the block within walking distance. There was a pool but we didn't use it.

    "Nice Stay"
    We arrived at 2am to our room. It was in perfect condition. This is an older hotel, but nice. We were located in the second building (not attached to the main building). The breakfast was great! Love the pancake maker.
    "Great place to stay before or after a cruise"
    We looked for a hotel that had a free shuttle to and from the port and where we could park our car during the cruise. This really fit the bill. Our room was great with a comfy bed, microwave, refrigerator, beautiful bathroom and nice view. The staff was welcoming, fast, and very helpful. The shuttle service was very good with next to no wait time and with the shuttle waiting for us when we disembarked. Breakfast had several hot choices and was good. We will stay here again.

It was also close to every major tourist spot in Charleston, just a few minutes driving. The hotel is really good, VERY clean, GREAT breakfast included and a staff that it really is something else and makes the difference! If you are planning to go to Charleston and visit this city, do not waste your money in booking an expensive hotel where to stay. After all, you will spend most of your time outside and you will need a good place where to take a shower and rest at night in order to charge your battery for the next day. And with its location, close to everything, you will be more than happy staying at the Best Western and using the saved money in visiting more places and enjoying the fine restaurants this beautiful city has to offer.

    "Great place to stay and for cruise parking and shuttle."
    Staff is friendly, rates are fair, being able to stay the night, leave my vehicle there and being shuttled to the port for my cruise was great. the continental breakfast was a bonus. Will definitely use them again for future cruises from Charleston,SC.
    "Great cruise package"
    Very convenient pre-cruise package available at this hotel. The shuttle service to and from the port worked out great. We did not even wait when we got off the ship, the shuttle was waiting for us. Hotel was clean and breakfast was included as well.

    The breakfast had lots of choices! I was very impressed with that! We got in late and went straight to bed and then just woke up had breakfast and headed out, so we didn't really do anything else there, but the staff all seemed very nice.

    Kim from continental services, was a delight, courteous and friendly . She provided much needed relief and break from the sub zero snow storm outside, where as such events are normally anomalous for this area.

    The check-in staff was very friendly. The room was in excellent condition, could not tell that this is a pet friendly hotel. GREAT value when you consider the rate. Less than 10 minutes from the tourist areas of Charleston.
    "Great place to stay at an excellent value"
    I arrived after midnight and was greeted by very friendly front desk staff. She sorted out the mess I had made online a had me in my room in just minuets. upon arrival at my room, I was pleased to find a clean and modern room .I stayed two nights and would have stayed longer but had to get to my next destination!
    "Best kept secret"
    We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of this Best Western. Rooms were very clean, grounds were very nicely kept, but the best thing is their customer service. Staff is very friendly! My teenagers kept sleeping in and we got to breakfast late (10 min. til closing) They ran out of hot water but made me a pot for tea. We ran out of TP and when we called they were at our door within 2 minutes. At other hotels we would have to hunt them down for anything. We also brought our dog and they have ample areas to walk them. But please clean up after your own pets. Lots of customers did not. My kids want to go back in the summer to enjoy the pool area. We also like the fact it's a couple of miles outside the touristy stuff.
