"Very convenient"
The location is very convenient: right next to I-95, very close to the outlet mall, and there tons of places to eat nearby, from McDonalds and Burger King to Cracker Barrel. And it's not very far to the historic downtown area. When I was looking for hotels, I found that this one was about $40 less per night than hotels located in the historic area. Plus this hotel has free parking, free breakfast, and free wifi. But watch where you turn or you'll go right past the road! If you're coming from I-95 northbound, you need to turn immediately between the first gas station (Chevron) and the second gas station (Shell): even though it may look like there's no road, drive a few feet and you'll see the New York Oasis Diner on the right and the hotel on the left. We went got there, it was easy to check-in (we booked online and pre-paid). They had a jar of soft, chocolate-chip cookies on the counter, which was a nice treat after driving through traffic on I-95. Our room was on the third floor, at the end of the hallway, and both the hallway and the room were very quiet: I-95 and State Road 16 are almost right outside the window, but we couldn't hear any traffic at all. Our room included a safe, a microwave, and a small refrigerator, which we didn't expect. :) The hotel uses the old-style a/c unit under the window rather than a central unit with ducts in the ceiling and a wall-mounted thermostat. This causes the front part of the room to be a bit warmer than the area closer to the a/c unit. The hotel has a free breakfast which included scrambled eggs, sausages, bagels/ pastries, cereals, yogurts, fruit, juice, and a make-your-own waffle station. And check-out was very easy also.

"Excellent stay and service"
We had an excellent stay at the Comfort Inn and Suites. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. Management worked with me on a room voucher that I had won and we were using for a Birthday weekend. To make our stay better management upgraded my room to a King Suite at no extra cost. The front desk and service staff are very friendly and we were treated with nothing less than perfect service. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again. Thank you!
"wonderfull stay"
I love this hotel, really home like and comfortable, nice large clean rooms spacious bathroom, and the staff is very helpfull in all ways. Highly recommend staying at this establishment when in the aera, well worth the price!
"Much nicer than Quality Inn"
I love this motel! The manager, Margie, was such a nice person who welcomed me with a smile. After having a bad experience down the road, I was lucky to find this place and get checked in when I did. The breakfast was also great and the room was very clean. I will visit here again!
"Clean and Comfortable"
I was visiting my sister in Georgia and we came down to see the beach. This hotel's beds were very comfortable. It's not far from the beach. Anna was very friendly and helpful! She was mopping the floor; but, took time to give me directions and information! The breakfast was really delicious! All the staff was very friendly and even brought up a new set of towels! I would definitely recommend staying here!
"My Stay"
The hotel staff was very helpful. They recommended local restaurants and places of interest. The breakfast was ok. We were happy with the room. I left my toilet tree bag in the my room. I call the hotel and they were very helpful in retrieving it. They drop it off at UPS and I received it back very shortly. They should be commended for this. Very helpful.
"Wonderful Stay!"
After being on the road for almost 14 hours, this place was a delight to our tired selves. Check-in was easy and they honored our coupon we found in a book at a rest area. The lobby was very beautiful and clean. The rooms were very large and comfortable. Beds were nice, not too soft or too firm. The room was spotless! Very quiet hallways, which is always a good thing. Very pleased with the breakfast. They offer a multitude of items, including waffles, eggs, and biscuits and gravy. It was hot and delicious and was a great way to start our day. The staff was very friendly! We will absolutely stay here again on our next trip to Florida!
"Comfortable, Safe and very Convenient"
From the warm welcome from Barbara at the front desk, to the nicely furnished room thru the Free breakfast, our stay was problem free. Easy to find from I-95 with several restaurants close by (ask about coupons :-) this is a truly ideal stop either on the drive up north or down south. Bonus is the terrific Outlet Mall just about adjacent to the hotel.

Convenient location to the nearby outlets, food, historic St. Augustine. Excellent service and the rooms are very clean and comfortable beds. A nice place for family stay. Good customer service. Also delicious breakfast.
"Clean and convenient"
Overnight on a trip back to Canada. Both room and bathroom were clean. Hotel was conviniently located near many restaurants and the Premium Outlet St. Augustine. It is also a 10 minutes ride to go to the historical St.Augustine which is worth to look at. It is a beautiful quaint city. Breakfast had cold and hot items (eggs and sausage, grits). Exactly what I expected from this chain! Breakfast room was spotless and well maintained. Will keep in mind on a next trip.
"Clean rooms and excellent service"
We stayed in this hotel with family and had pleasant experience. Beds were comfortable for all 4 of us. Rooms were clean and had enough supplies for all of us. Staff was very friendly and cordial. Kids enjoyed breakfast. Overall we had pleasant experience and would stay in this hotel when we visit St. Augustine next time.

We had a very pleasant lady greet us and check us into our room. Our room was clean, spacious and well maintained. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast area was nice and they had what we wanted. If we visited St Augustine again we would definitely come back to this hotel. We would also recommend this motel to others.
"I LOVED staying here!"
Stayed here on April 7, 2017 and I was very satisfied. I have no complaints. This was my first stay at any Comfort Inn and at any Choice property. The staff was helpful and courteous. The facility is pleasant, clean and comfortable, with so many amenities and extra features. Located only a few miles from the historic district (15 minute drive). I was really surprised at how much variety there was at the breakfast. Much more than I expected. It was wonderful. I enjoyed my stay very much. If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be "pleasant".
"Nice place"
The staff was very friendly at both check in and check out time. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfy. Breakfast was eggs, sausage and biscuits, yogurt, pastries. Was surprised when the manager even stopped by and asked if we enjoyed our stay. That was a nice touch.
"Worth the Stay"
The staff here were great. Margie is a little spit fire. She runs from the front desk to the breakfast area and even does laundry folding. Hotel is clean. I enjoyed my visit and would definitely stay again.
"Great place"
I'm in town a lot on business. Let me just say that there are a lot of hotels in st Augustine I could be staying at, but I always pull into this one because of the customer service that Margie at the front desk gives. She goes over and beyond, making sure I get a room even when I forget to make a rsvp. The rooms are always clean. And the rest of the staff are very friendly.
"Great location,clean room,will come back"
My wife and I stayed here after driving 20 hours from Michigan. The matrass was a little hard but overall I thought the stay was good. Easy access from I-95. It seemed like their were a lot of business travelers there and that is a good sign in my mind.
"Perfect as always"
The staff was just as sweet as five years ago when I first visited. My family tried another hotel 10 minutes away at first and within 30 minutes we canceled our reservation to stay at the Comfort Inn. Special thanks to Greg who was working the front desk when we arrived (as well as taking care of the shower confusion quickly) and Margie when we left. The entire staff was completely helpful and friendly making our weekend getaway perfect. Clean, comfortable, and an attentive staff is what helps create the perfect trip. Thank you!

We spent 2 nights here for a quick getaway. The hotel was exactly as described in other reviews. A lot of construction going on during the day. You do hear the trains when they pass by. My husband loved the sound of the trains. The shower was big and had good water pressure. I loved how there were hooks so you could hang your towels from the pool or the shower. There were little ants on the bathroom counter that got into my husbands toiletry bag. The bed was comfortable. Didn't wake up with any aches. The only thing is the door to get in wasn't sealed. There was a big gap in between the door and the door frames. Overall a good stay.

"The staff is EXCELLENT"
If you're looking for a 5-star hotel, the Magnuson is not it. HOWEVER, we found the rates to be much lower than nearby hotels, and the staff is amazing. Garry, Joel, Joey and others will take a personal interest in you and your stay, doing all they can to make it the best. Also, the Magnuson is next door to an Old Town Trolley visitors center, with regular shuttles to the main trolley stop (with the Old Jail and Oldest Store). You almost don't even need a car for your stay. Also, Explore Tours (with the Hopper) is right across the (busy) street. The Magnuson may not be 5-star, and is not right in old St Augustine, but it's a great value and very convenient. Oh, and did I mention the outstanding staff!?!?
"Awesome experience"
This is hotel was amazing last minute reservation and the staff was amazing! The room was clean! Bed was comfortable! As for the train I heard it once at 740pm I would def use hotel again! Great service
"Absolutely Amazing"
I am a 4th Grade Teacher who came from a small town from Immokalee with 29 students. The service from every employee was absolutely amazing, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing. We visit St. Augustine every year and always go to this hotel because they are so reliable and take care of anything we might need. Definitely going next year and looking forward to it.
"Perfect location"
Located on a tidal river...sit on the raised patio, surrounded by flowers, and watch eagles, herons, dolphins, or the sun setting over the water. Train line built by Henry Flagler, industrialist who developed Florida coast, offers rare close-up views of occasional trains - kids and train buffs run to watch. Neighborhood across the street includes many architectural styles, from large homes with multiple porches, to bungalows (one built circa 1885, another on the Freedom Trail). Catch a tourist tram with many stops and good narration right next door. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, offering lots of locals' favorite restaurants (including healthy options). Fun tip: FREE movie rental machine in the lobby. Fun tip 2: check out the super paint scheme in your room!
"A fantastic stay for my mom and I"
Although the Magnuson Hotel was undergoing some renovations the staff made you feel like you were special to them. The room was great. We were on the back side of the hotel and there were train tracks. OMG I though because I just knew the train would keep me up. That was not the case. It was rather exciting. My mom was like a big kid as the train went by. The room had a new feel to it. Brand new bathroom and the beds were so comfortable. Oh and the people there. We were just like one big happy family. They reminded us that breakfast started at 6:30am and ended at 9:30am. We were having so much fun, we stated beyond the end of breakfast and they didn't even put us out. In fact the manager came over and talked to us for a while and even gave us some site seeing advise. Of course we didn't know where to begin so they suggested and ordered us a Red Bus Tour. Wow were able to get on and off the bus as often as we wanted to. There were so many things to see, the sad thing was our stay was not long enough. I love a midnight snack and guess what!!!!!! There were restaurants all around us. My mom didn't want to leave. LOL I had to promise I would bring her back again one day.
