Nevada Resort Features A Casino And Three Fine Restaurants

This Property Is Rated For The Best Value In Laughlin

We again enjoyed staying at this casino, though, this time we upgraded to and relaxed in a river view room. The parking is ample and covered, the check-in procedure (with reservation) was efficient, the room was bright and clean, and we enjoyed a peaceful sleep. Check-out was also efficient. The casino was not crowded on a weekday.

"Husband's birthday. ."
Had a great stay clean and fun!! Slepted like a baby also... had fun learning how to play roulette and it was a free learning lesson. ... won a few bucks.. had a great time on Freemont street! ! Would totally go back for another visit. .
"Undergoing renovation-but still a great value!"
While attending the Las Vegas Gift Show I had the chance to stay at GN. I picked it for its location close to the market center. The staff was warm, friendly and upgraded me to a suite upon check in. The hotel is showing its age-but renovations are underway and the location can't be beat!
"Rush Tower rooms"
Great rooms. Spacious and the largest, cleanest and best bathrooms of any standard hotel room I've ever seen in all of Vegas. I've never had anything but great experiences at the GN. Rush Tower rooms rock!!! When I stay downtown the only place I'll even consider is a Rush Tower room at the GN.
"Great downtown hotel"
Wanted to see downtown and decided to stay here. We booked the Rush tower. Room was big, clean and bed comfortable. There is a big beautiful pool aquarium that I love. Hotel's location is great as when you step out of the hotel's door you are already in the famous Freemont Street where you can see the Viva Vision show as well as the old neon lights. There are variety of restaurants around for any budget. There are also souvenir shops and pharmacy nearby. If we decide to stay at Downtown Las Vegas again we will definitely stay here.
"Great stay! We will be back!"
This is a great place for couples and families. There are many dining choices to please everyone from casual to fine dining. One of the best meals we ever had was at The Chart House. We stayed in The Rush Tower, what a beautiful room. One of the biggest rooms we have ever stayed at in Vegas. We choose Downtown as we were meeting family and had never stayed there. The location was very good and the service was impeccable. Next time we are bringing the kids, they would love the pool aquarium. The pool was actually voted one of the Best in the country. We've stayed at several places in Vegas, this is one of the best!
"Location *****"
Really enjoy our stay at Golden Nugget. Just stayed one nigth, but it was good expierence. This same trip we also stayed at Ceasars Palace and earlier at Flamingos. But this old rea of Vegas is so much relaxed than the new strip. Really enjoyed the the freemont Street big screen and old style neon ligths and the bar scene. The Golden Nugget is legendary hotel and Casino, but it still going strong. Ok, same places you see the age. Only negative thing was that the famous Nugget pool was under construction. Stayed at junior suite and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The views over the freemont Street and the neon ligths.
"Birthday Trip with family and friends"
We booked the "G Nugget" for my 50th Party based upon friends recommendations. We stayed in the Gold tower, were were pleased. Rush tower was recommended, We chose Gold for finacial reasons. ( i think) Upon arrival we were checked in with no problems. Room was fantastic. we had adjoning rooms, one king and one standard. Both were updated and very nice. Small bathrooms but efficent. Our room faced the downtoan area, not much of a view, but it was quiet. no noise from Freemont street. Room was a hop skip and a jump away from the casino floor, lobby and freemont street. We ate at the breakfast buffett once, out of 8 of us, 2 were not impressed. Food was good, selection was plentiful. Price was good. Construction of the pool area and possibly another of the towers made for a few messy areas but we were not bothered by noise ever. Venelation updates would be fantastic. This was our first stay at the Nugget, i think we will be back in the future.
"Go for the RUSH!"
I have stayed at the Golden Nugget twice and this most recent trip I was in the Rush Tower. It was FANTASTIC! The rooms are huge, the bathrooms are massive, modern, clean and bright and the beds are a delight. It rivals or surpasses the strip hotels. I do highly recommend the Rush Tower! My only complaint was that there is no free Wi-fi in the rooms nor in the hotel lobby and in 2015 - that simply isn't competitive. And as a sidenote - I had a wonderfully kind and helpful front desk staff named Brittany who assisted with my stay - and I can't say enough about her helpful demeanour and welcoming personality - thank you!
"5 nights at Golden Nugget"
We were in room 1692 in Carlson tower, it is a bit of a walk from casino floor to the room. Not much of view from room, you can see the D hotel. But then again who spends Las Vegas in their room. The king size bed was awesome, very comfortable, flat screen tv, large sleeping area, nice bathroom. The housekeeping was very good. Refill, clean and make bed, we didn't use it every day as it was not necessary. The Breakfast buffet was very good. The downfall is no free wifi unless you are their for a convention or event. No resort fees a major plus. Close to activities. I didn't hear much sound from Fremont. They comp my room so I paid nothing. I do wish they would have self serve soda/water machines instead of waiting for a waitress. I listed to nightly band in the bar, which was good. I recommend this hotel , if you want to save the cost of sleeping, eating and shows. A lot cheaper then the strip. I have stayed and visited the strip before. Get your money worth here.
"Grand place to stay"
Just home from 4 days in vegas and wow ...never seems to get old .. The nugget has updated their rooms and somehow added more sparkle than the last time. The room was very large and nicely decorated we were on the 20 th floor with an amazing view of the strip ..which twinkled all night so beautiful. The room had nice amenities and was very clean, comfortable bed as well. The front staff were very nice and check in was simple and easy ,also got the high floor we requested. This was our third time there and would definitely return, the nugget has an ideal location right on Freemont street where all the action is , and the best place to be for music and people watching....wow Love the golden nugget
"The Spa at Golden Nugget"
My Mother in Law, daughter in law and myself experienced the Winter Dream package at the spa this past week and it was amazing. The body scrub and massage by Jeff was heavenly. The facial by Tina was to die for and the Champagne Pedicure by Dianne Roach was the best I have ever had. We all enjoyed our day at the spa! It was so fun and relaxing! I would recommend the Spa and services here to everyone!
"Of all the hotels in downtown Vegas,,this is the best!"
GN is our hotel to go to when staying downtown, We've been there a dozen times in the past 20 years and it's always welcoming and pleasant. The rush tower was a little nicer but overall the hotel is a winner for us!
"The Best Hotel in Downtown!"
The Golden Nugget is not only a great place to stay, but it also has so much history. Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, an upscale ambiance, some great restaurants, and last (but not least)....its perfect position right on Fremont Street; very convenient! One good reason why I enjoyed staying in downtown in the past was because the hotels there were not charging those stupid "resort fees" that all the Strip hotels charge. During my stay at the GN in 2011, there were no extra fees of any kind. However, now I am very disappointed to see downtown hotels tacking on the bloody "resort fees". The "D" (which is no resort) is charging $20/day!....and the GN has begun charging its guests a so-called "destination fee". I've never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life! If these hotels are charging guests a daily fee because of the Fremont Street Experience, then it really isn't a FREE SHOW, is it? Don't they make enough $$$$ as it is from their casinos???? Why nickel-and-dime the guests even more with these ridiculous fees? Sorry for the rant, but I think it's just PURE GREED, and I don't like greed! :-/
"Wonderful stay"
We have stayed at the Nugget over 10 times always in the Gold Tower....this time we stayed in the Rush tower - totally worth it! Our check in rep JP was very nice, friendly, and gave us upgrades for what I thought was very small charge. Smooth check in, elevators are right there so you don't have to lug your bags all over the casino, fabulous spacious room, and the bed was AMAZING. so comfortable! Sleep and Vegas don't usually happen in the same sentence, but it was one of the best beds I have ever slept on!
"Shiny Piece of History"
We had a late check in on December 29th and when we arrived we got upgraded to a very elegant suite with a shower to die for, (we had a four hour delay with our flight so the shower was welcoming!) We had a spectacular view of the pool and the room was big enough for the 5 of us, we did have blow up mattress brought up to our room and there was a sectional couch so there was plenty of room for the girls! My youngest was up bright and early to swim with the sharks, it was about 38 degrees out, but there were plenty of gas heaters around the pool area for us to warm up and that was by far her favorite feature. From the fixtures, to the linens, and not to mention the service we received it was top notch, I can not say enough about it and ah the history! The Golden Nugget is a shiny piece of history, we loved it! We will defiantly be back! We have a family of 5, with 2 teenagers and an 8 year old and this was there favorite hotel!
"Best place to stay in Downtown Las Vegas"
Had that old hotel feel but was nicely renovated and up to date. Rooms were nice, hotel was easy to navigate through, offered many restaurants and bars throughout, it was a very pleasant stay and after touring a few of the hotels on Fremont Street we were very happy that we choose the Golden Nugget
"Great stay"
My wife and I stayed at the Golden Nugget last week for two nights. We were both a little hesitant to stay downtown as we always stay on the strip. Because of the electronics show we could only get a room at the Venetian for the first two nights (which was wonderful as usual.) For the last two we decided to try staying downtown as well always like to go down for a night of fun anyway. We were pleasantly surprised with the room. We will definitely stay there again! The room was large with a fridge (not stocked with $7 beers) that we could put stuff in. There were free waters in the room as well as free mini bottles outside the elevators. The bed was very comfortable.
"My husbands birthday"
We have been coming to the Golden Nugget for a while now. Everyone is always extremely kind and helpful!! The pool and Amazing fish tank is nice to sit by and watch. We enjoy coming here because they have everything. There are several restaurants to choose from and bars as well. Highly recommend this facility!!!
"I won't stay anywhere else in Vegas."
I've stayed twice now in the Rush Tower. The amenities are great! I love the flat screens and robes. The hotel employees are very helpful and friendly. It's a difference experience than staying on the Strip, for sure, but we love the value and the laid back-ness of the Nugget.
"spa tower suite"
The older part of town to start with is much more down to earth.Check out the seacan mall and Praying Mantis a couple blocks off the end of Fremont St. We stayed at the Golden Nugget Spa Suite in September. The room was extravagant, spiral staircase to connect the two floors. The second floor housed the bath area and king bedroom witch consisted of separate jacuzzi tub, steam room and stand up shower. The lower floor was a massive living area with wet bar/half kitchen, entrance area. Would defiantly stay there again.
