We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

"Pool Activities"
Had fabulous time @ the pool with Salvatore ( entertainment ). From pool bingo to aqua aerobics to surprise birthday cake !!! Salvatore befriended my wife and I and went to no end to ensure our stay was nothing but fun filled ! Cannot say enough, this resort was the Bomb !!
"Great property, better driver in Miguel #4"
We had an Acapulco family vacation in mid August consisting of my wife, my two adult children (22,18) their adult friends (also 22,18), and me. We stayed for 10 days. We booked a couple of rooms at hotel in downtown Acapulco, then spent a week at the Grand Mayan. The property was beautiful. We had a 2 bedroom unit on the 3rd floor facing the ocean. There were 2 couches in the livingroom area that opened up to 2 additional beds. The two 18yr old boys slept on them without using the additional beds as the couches were big enough to sleep on. We really could have had 2 more adults with us and there would still be ample room. The food was delicious at the restaurants, but we had room service a few of the nights. After a long day at the beach or on excursions, we loved the fact that we could just relax to some really good food in the room. Our overall experience with the Gand Mayan was amazing, but I really think that the best part of the vacation was Miguel Zequeida or better known as Miguel #4. He is the man!! Being that we had 6 adults, we needed a larger vehicle. Miguel showed up at the airport, even though we over an hour late, with a big smile and his 7 seater Suburban. He took us to our downtown hotel that night. On the ride, he told us all about HIS beautiful Acapulco! He set up where we could see the cliff divers then took us to a local restaurant right on the water where the food was delicious and was very inexpensive! All together, Miguel took us shopping for supplies, on a few excursions, and sightseeing to the Chapel, which I'm sure many drivers do, but it is the personal things that I'm sure set Miguel #4 apart. Miguel was there for me when my son's friend injured his arm and drove me all around Acapulco looking for medical supplies like Ace bandages. When we asked last minute to have one more crack at riding the jetskis, he took us to what I feel is one of the best beaches, where the waves were huge! He set us up with a restaurant on the beach where my wife and I watched the other 4 somehow get the jetskis over the waves while we ate amazing snacks and had a few cocktails....again, very inexpensively! I know that it is a business and that many drivers would do similar. What I feel sets Miguel apart besides his knowledge of Acapulco, is that he is very personable. He told spoke of where he grew up, his family, and his love for Acapulco. I truly enjoyed his company. If you are looking for a great reliable driver and a good person, his email is [email protected] and his cell number is 744-221-1375, He may be Miguel #4 at the Grand Mayan, but he is Miguel #1 in our book.
"The most fabulous vacation"
While planning our visit to The Grand Mayan in Acapulco. We kept running across great reviews of Miguel #4. We flew into Mexico City on 9-14-17 to find out our flight to Acapulco was canceled due to hurricane. We reached Miguel he contacted The Grand Mayan and helped us arrange bus transportation to the resort. Miguel also made sure we were able to have our pozole after our long bus ride. During our trip we booked awesome tours with Miguel #. As a tour guide he gave us insight to Acapulco's rich history. Wonderful trip with lots of great memories thanks to Miguel#4. Everything from hurricanes,an earthquake and a protest attempting to close airport while we were returning home on 9-21-17. With help from Miguel #4 we were abel to sample all authentic and local dishes. "Best Mole Ever". Having a guide in Acapulco is truly the best way to visit. Contact Miguel #4
"First time in Acapulco and had a wonderful time!"
We have visited all of the major resort towns in Mexico, but this was our first visit to Acapulco. We checked into the Grand Mayan which is a beautiful hotel! We exchanged with Intervals International and were given a two bedroom on the golf side of the resort. We asked to upgrade to the beach side, but were denied because of the hotel being at capacity. The facility was very clean and the people at the hotel were very nice, although not many spoke our English language. Because the Grand Mayan did not have airport shuttle service and our concerns about the recent problems in some of the resort town in Mexico, I decided to check with Trip Advisor for transportation information. I was concerned being it was our first time in Acapulco and not knowing anyone there. What a relief when I was able to contact Sebastian Hernandez at Acapulcoforall.com. He was outstanding and was able to pick us up at the airport and take us to the resort as well as act as a guide and take us on various tours during our stay. I would highly recommend that you contact Sebastian if you have the same worries that we had about our safety. As far as the Grand Mayan, we enjoyed the pool, the activities, the night life and the restaurants. Our favorite restaurant on site was IL Forno Di Gio an Italian cruise. Everything was delicious from the pasta to the wood burning oven pizzas and salads! Their service was outstanding! Our city trip to Acapulco with Sebastian was the most memorable! Seeing the cliff divers, visiting old town, going to the chapel that overlooks the bay, having the famous Coco Loco drink at the Flamingo Hotel where John Wayne once owned was a pure treat. We were unsure of venturing out on our own, but found a great shopping mall just 5 minutes away called ISLA. Actually,La Botica the shopping area on site was great! The grocery store at the resort is very limited, but thanks to Sebastian he stopped at Walmart before we arrived at the Grand Mayan. In conclusion, we had a great time and would recommend this resort. Our concerns about our safety went away once we arrived and used Acapulcoforall.com
"Best Personal Tour Guide at the Grand Mayan-Van 35 and Van 24"
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourself in Acapulco while staying at the Grand Mayan. We had a personal tour guide for the entire week. We highly recommend Juan Hernandez if you plan on visiting Acapulco. His email address is [email protected] He made our stay worthwhile. He took us on a City tour. He recommended restaurants like La Perla, where we had a three course meal for our anniversary. We saw the Cliff Divers daytime and night Shows. We went kayaking and zip lining. We took a tour on a yacht, also where we saw the homes of Danny Glover, Julio Iglesias, Lee Travino, and many others. We visited the home of Tarzan and John Wayne. Juan also took us to the Acapulco Museum. Lastly, we took a ride on a glass boat to Palao restaurant. Kudos to Juan Hernandez-Van 35 and Hugo Daniel-Van 24 for making our stay in Acapulco memorable!

"The hotel is nice but the city tour was the best!"
The Grand Mayan is a beautiful hotel. We stayed September 1 to 8, 2017. The facility is clean and people of the hotel are respectful and very helpful. We love the way they cover their heart when they greet you - showing it is heart felt. The spa, lazy river, pool, and beach access make the stay worth while. We were reluctant to do a city tour because we enjoyed staying at the hotel but we are glad we did the tour. Our guide, Valdo, is the very best! Giving tours for more than 20 years, no one does it better than Valdo. He knows the history of the area, his English is perfect, he knows the best places and the best food. Ask for Valdo at the Bell Desk - everyone knows him and everyone agrees that he is the best!
"Grand Mayan & Sebastian the best thing about Acapulco!"
We went to Acapulco on August 4 for the second trip to the Grand Mayan prior to traveling on to Tijuana for attend a husband's family event. We had so much fun 7 years ago, we wanted to be assured we would have a great time again so we went back to the same place and we had a great time! We have stayed here through timeshare exchanges so the value was awesome! We check in to our rooms, we had a 2 Master suite which is a combination of a studio lockoff and a 1 bedroom, which are spacious and beautiful. Beds are firm, but that did not stop us from sleeping very well throughout the week. The grounds, the beach and my favorite the lazy river was awesome. If you chose to hangout by the pool and order food & drink, Mario is the man!! He's fast, friendly and even remembers your name!! All the staff is so helpful and pleasant. The one thing that really bothered us was the timeshare sales pitch that they tried to "hook" us up, we just said NO, absolutely. Thank goodness they understood! I wanted to comment about the service provided by our driver Sabastian of acapulcoforall.com We selected Sabastian after carefully researching several private drivers in the area. He provided us with airport transportation and a stop to the grocery store in route to the resort, he also provided a list of suggestions on what to do while in Acapulco, this was very helpful because we were able to plan our trip before we arrived in Acapulco. WE ALWAYS FELT SAFE. As another review stated, there are places within the cities we live in that you avoid. Enjoy your trip and wish you the same pleasure we had as a family group- The entire trip was amazing!
"Perfect Honeymoon Destination"
My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon and stayed at the Grand Mayan in Acapulco. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The resort is set right on the beautiful beaches of Acapulco, our room was beach front and provided for beautiful balcony sunsets and romantic meal settings in the room and everywhere else on the resort. The pools are well maintained and offer 2 for 1 happy hour drinks, which obviously makes things better. I have to say the best part of our experience was the service at the Grand Mayan. The staff is very attentive, helpful and pleasant to be around. We did a dinner on the beach. Initially we felt the price tag was a little high, but the resort staff built a beautiful scene with tiki torches, candles, and a canopy. To top it off we were provided with a personal waiter for 2+ hours who waited on us hand and foot. He was truly a pleasure to be around. Every worker at the resort has a smile and goes out of their way to make sure your needs are met. For anyone traveling to the Grand Mayan or other resorts in Acapulco we strongly recommend you use acapulcoforall.com for your transportation needs. Sebastian Hernandez was our driver, he provided transportation to and from the airport. He's very friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable of the area. Sebastian was kind enough to stop at the local grocery store on the way to the resort so we could stock our room with low cost necessities. Also, Sebastian provides a multitude of great tours/excursions throughout Acapulco. We did 2 and wish we had to do others, coolest thing about Sebastian's service is the meals and experiences, as he is a native to Acapulco he brings you to all the local hotspots and you dine and mingle with the local community. A one in a lifetime experience. We cannot thank Sebastian enough.
"Family vacation"
Very nice, beautiful and easy place to be. We stayed at the Golf. We found the resort restaurants were overpriced and not great. Walk ten minutes and there is a courtyard with three great places. The lazy river was awesome and my teen daughters really enjoyed the joy squad. The live show at the Palace was cool and just cheesy enough to be fun. We always felt safe.
"Mayan Palace Review"
Our experience was amazing! My husband chose this spot in Alcapulco, Mexico. We were worried about not knowing the language. However, the staff spoke English, they were very cordial and inviting. Our concerns were immediately dissipated. The rooms were lovely, however only the suites have refrigerators. I recommend going out to eat at recommended food spots. The restaurants at the different Mayan Palace locations were great, use the meal ticket coupons for greater benefits. Sebastian Hernandez was our driver for the week. Look him up, his service was superb. At the hotel, we met Azael, who made us feel really welcomed. He assisted us with our luggage and provided some great tips about sights to visit. The best experiences can be gained by taking tours and learning about the culture. The facility is very clean, entertainment is offered at night. There are many pools and a large beach area, with plenty of lounging chairs, canopies, and palm shades umbrella areas. Food can be ordered and charged to your room, including room service for meals. Overall it was a great trip! I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
"Lovely holiday at the Grand Mayan Acapulco"
Though smaller than some of the other Grand Mayans, the resort was lovely clean and the staff very good. The best part of our trip was Miguel #4. Be sure to request him prior to your stay -you can arrange airport pick up in advance) as the system for cab drivers there is very different. We used him for tours and other outings throughout our stay. His english was perfect, he was so knowledgeable much about the area and he took us to some awesome local places that we would have probably never found. Thanks Miguel #4! - his email address: [email protected]
"Excellent"
Facilities, food and service are excellent. The location is very convenient whereas you wish to go downtown, shopping, go to dinner outside the hotel or explore beaches more "local" like Playa Bonfil or Barra Vieja where you can find a place to surf and good food at very cheap prices. The beach in front the hotel is really outstanding you can have fun swimming or playing in the waves in a secure mode.
"THE GREAT MAYA VACATIONS"
Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach. Beach is public, so if you feel like enjoy the Mexican folklore, can do so. And If you want a relaxing day the resort private and well care. Is close to the airport!
"3 amigos in Mexico"
Staying at the Grand Mayan Acapulco was a relaxing and homely experience. The 2 bedroom living space was amble space and the furniture was very up to date and well kept. The best feature of the hotel was the pool. Great space and very inviting. This was the first trip ever that I spent hours by the pool. The hustlers on the beach eventually deterred me from spending more time on the beach because they would not stop with the 'come see, come see'! Could have used more activities and entertainment at the hotel but I do realize I am comparing this resort to an all inclusive which was totally different. The restaurants were nice but glad we found a Walmart to collect some groceries and a great driver to transport us around. BALDO GOMEZ was a great tour guide and very friendly during our tourisy needs.
"Great service from Juan Carlon Padino"
Juan has been very friendly and outgoing. Even though English is not his best language, he has tried very hard to meet my needs because my Spanish is not the best. The customer service here is great and Juan is a huge reason because of it.
"Great resort"
My wife and I decided to come here at the last minute . A wonderful surprise the resort was beautiful and the staff was very nice . I really enjoyed my trip! We took a wonderful tour we received massages and enjoyed the shuttle in which the resort provides.
"Ed from Naples Florida"
We go to the Grand Mayan every January. Since the recent sale of the resort we have seen many improvements. There are now 2 Lazy Rivers on the premises. The restaurants have great menus at a reasonable price. You can also purchase discount tickets. The food is excellent. The one bedroom suite we stay in is very roomy and clean always. There is a soaking pool on each large terrace. We enjoy that every late afternoon with cocktails. They also have cocktail hour every day. one in the afternoon and one in the evening. The lobby bar is beautiful and at night they have excellent entertainment. There is a good variety of beautiful pools that are kept spotless. All pools overlook the beautiful beach. All employees are extremely polite and helpful. The popular manager is wonderful as well as his management staff. We will continue to go there next January and every January.
