"Weekend Universal Mardi Gras trip"
“Directions to get to property were very good. Checking in was quick and easy. Shuttle services to and from Universal was very good-even if you prefer to take taxi, it’s $10 or less. Did not use pool, bar, gym or restaurant on this trip but the Tiki bar area looked very inviting. I will stay there again, and have already recommended this place”

“We are Universal passholders and travel to the area often. Being Hilton Honors members, we always shop their family of hotels if we're not staying onsite. Somehow we'd never stayed here before and we regret it! Although it is on what we consider the "dodgier" end of International Drive, the area has been cleaned up a lot and newer, modern hotels are taking over - including the newest Universal hotel, actually, which you can see just across the street. This Garden Inn is clean, sparkling, and filled with Hilton hospitality. Our room was large and comfortable with a view of the pool. We only regret that we had a one night stay and didn't get to use the adorable tiki bar or restaurant, which looked to have great food coming out of it! We used points for this stay but we'll be shopping their rates for our next visit in the spring. Being from Tampa we make the quick trip very often. (The Lyft to Universal was $6 each way, much easier than bothering with their parking lot. We actually got dropped off at Royal Pacific and walked around the lagoon, pro tip :) You can skip main gate security that way!)”

“We were looking to use points for a quick stay in Orlando. All the reviews I read led us to this hotel. It was perfect. Got to use points, in walking distance of Universal ( 20-30 min walk). Although its in a very commercial area, the pool/hot tub/ tiki bar area were very well designed and made you feel like you werent in a busy area. Cabanas by the pool for shade, large rectangular hot tub, and great drinks at the bar each night. Breakfast was good every morning. Complimentary if you have Hilton Diamond status.”

"Great Choice Hotel Away from the Chaos!"
“Stayed at this hotel for a business trip earlier in the week. The hotel is located in what I think is a prime spot, between Universal Studios and Disney. You still have all the amenities of a great vacation, but it's not near all the downtown hot spots - this may be good for some, not good for others, if you're taking a trip to Disney. The hotel was beautiful - staff was very friendly. My room was super clean and super comfy bed. I had breakfast one more, but dinner both nights. The staff were nice - the chef even came out one night to see how my meal was. Overall, I would totally recommend this hotel for either a business trip or vacation spot down to the Orlando area. I didn't get a chance to visit the pool since I went during the random cold front, but they do have a Tiki Hut outside for leisure - wish I was able to enjoy it!”
