My wife and I have just returned after a three week stay at Hovima Jardin Caleta. Our only regret is that we didn't book to stay six weeks! Over the years we have stayed in several four and five star hotels in Costa Adeje but this is the one to which we will return. Our first floor room had a balcony with lovely sea views towards La Gomera, a bedroom, bathroom and separate sitting room with fully equipped kitchenette which we didn't use as we were staying on half-board terms. The food was very good with plenty of choice, variety and importantly frequent refreshment of the buffet dishes. The breakfast was quite the best of any of the hotels in which we have stayed with fresh fried eggs cooked in front of us and PROPER bacon! None of the usual greasy Spanish streaky offering but good lean crispy bacon every day. The staff were excellent - cheerful, friendly, hard working and very effective with unobtrusive management. The poolside bar provided lovely light lunches at prices comparable with the local restaurants.

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

    What Our Customers Are Saying

    Written Review

"Great staff, good food, clean rooms and a heated pool!!"
We went to the hotel for a cheap and cheerful break with our 2 year old. The staff were very helpful and friendly - especially Isabel and Julie on reception and the manageress whose name escapes me. Our 2 bedroom appartment was great. Spacious and spotlessly clean. Fairly basic but for the money what do you expect? The food is good. Freshly made and plenty of choice. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all buffet style and they cater for a lot of athletes that seem to stay at the hotel doing winter training and as such the food is fairly healthy - that said there is choice for everyone. It was ideal for our 2 year old who could pick what she wanted. The pool area is great for kids. There is a heated kids pool, a heated large pool and an unheated large pool. Our little one simply loved it. The area of La Caleta is great. A very quiet cove with restaurants surrounding it ranging from traditional tapas bars to upmarket Italian and Sushi restaurants. Very quiet and peaceful and a place I wish I had found years ago. We had a great stay and will definitely return. There is some extensive building work to the rear of the hotel but this could not be heard in our room or at the pool.
    "Great chilled out break!"
Went for one week half board with family. This was my second time in Tenerife and first in La Caleta. First impressions were ok, the hotel decor is a little dated. However, it only got better from there! The location is brill, right near a black sand beach and a short walk (20/25mins) from a white sandy beach which is much better. La Caleta is a lovely place, very laid back with some lovely views, cafe's and restaurants. We had a one bedroom apartment on the first floor with a balcony sea view which was great. As mentioned, it is a little date but it was exceptionally clean and well maintained, the cleaners did a very good job! We had a small kitchen and living area which was very useful. The pool area was great, plenty of space and good sized pools with a good poolside bar for snacks. There are plenty bars and cafe's around for snacks during the day if you are half board. The Restaurant/Food was the best part of this hotel. The choice of food was fantastic, there was lots of lovely food. Breakfast was excellent with freshly cooked eggs/pancakes etc. and there was always something different on an evening, it was not repetitive at all. Anyone who likes good food, I fully recommend this place! However, my only complaint was that the waiters were not the most helpful/cheerful people, especially one who was very rude. The cleaners are the happiest members of staff! There is free wifi although it isn't the best but it still works! The sports bar seems a dull place but we never spent much time there, too busy doing other things! The sports facilities at Tenerife Top Training were absolutely fantastic, being an athlete I used them a lot. The staff were so welcoming there. If ever eating out for lunch, the tapas at La Calleja are brilliant! The area of La Caleta is so clean and well looked after, so much nicer than Las Americas. I noticed the further along the coast I ran in a morning towards Las Americas, the dirtier it got! Overall, was a great holiday and would love to return to this hotel when back in La Caleta!
    "New Year"
We decided to go away for new year. As we have been to Jardin Caleta many times decided to go there. It was fantastic from start to finish. The New years Eve buffet was out of this World with everything. We actually spent the night at James;s place in the village, this made the night. It is mainly British ex pats, everyone had a great time. The Jardin had laid on a lot of daytime and evening events and entertainment. Great atmosphere.
    "Excellent hotel"

I am pleased to strongly recommend this excellent hotel.
    "Great place"
Had l lovely week. Super nice hotel and suroundings. Fantastiskt gala dinner on new years eve. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Very good restaurants in the village. People at the front desk were helpful but could be friendlier. Hope we will come back.
    "Great break"
Stopped in december with my son in December great value for money food really well presented lots of choice off the beaten track good location for relaxing very clean rooms super swimming pool sun trap not to much trouble getting sunbeds mixed bunch of guests found the entertainment programme pleasant all in all exellent value for the money
    "More than expected"
Really nice apartement hotel in quiet surroundings. Pool area nice with lots of sun beds. Roof terrace with hot tub. Excellent restaurant with great variety in the buffet both morning and evening. We had a galla dinner at the 25th of december wich was very nice. The apartment was nice and clean with a balcony facing the neighborhood. We had no AC but there was no need for one at the time we were there.
    "Excellent"
I found this hotel excellent. Nice quiet pool area with small secluded spots dotted around. Restaurant had a great mix to suit all Staff were attentive and polite Room was clean and quiet. If I had to introduce a negative it would be twofold: 1. No air conditioning in the room 2. The bar area would have suited a teenage city centre and needs the decor making more to suit the clientel. Overall though. I would recommend this place.
"Very good hotel and lovely resort"
I stayed at this hotel for a week with my partner and daughter. The rooms are clean and spacious and we had a lovely view of the pool area from our balcony. The standard of the rooms more than met our expectations. Perhaps the hotel could provide you with more information about the hotel / resort in your room. The pool area was nice, great to see an absence of towels on sun beds at daft o clock. Plenty of sun beds, nice sunbathing areas on the roof , one with hot tub. The hot tub area was adults only, which I can understand but the kids were gutted :(. My only gripe about the pool area was the abundance of needless rules that were enforced by the lifeguard - no balls in the pool, no toys, no inflatables, no jumping in etc etc come on the kids are on holiday! It was ridiculous. Food was fine, some days better than others but again it met our expectations. The hotel don't serve Cava and the wine was yucky. There is a supermarket next door that sells Prosecco and everything else you need. The lovely lady inflated my daughters inflatable killer whale for free - but the life guard rule enforcer soon put an end to my daughters fun lol. The resort of Caletta is lovely , not massive but plenty of places to eat and just enjoy a stroll. Had an enjoyable holiday
"Very nice hotel in the quiet but lovely Caleta"
We (me and my boyfriend) enjoyed this hotel very much. We just came back and I am going to give my objective opinion: - rooms are very spacious, take one on the third floor - my bed was very squiky - airco is fine - food is nice and a lot of choice, breakfast was always the same but you can always choose for something different! - we stayed there for one week and our room was cleaned every day except for 2 days, which was not very nice. But we went down to the reception to ask for towels and we got them without a problem - nice pool and jacuzzi - very clean - in the restaurant: the staff is very noisy when cleaning the tables, but helpful - special thanks to Fransisco from the reception Conclusion: very nice 3* hotel Visit el Teide and the villages in the south west
    "Fab hotel"
We stayed here as a family , the rooms had everything you needed. Very spacious clean rooms , helpful staff & great selection of food. Ideal location just out of the main town but only a bus ride away. Great value holiday in a fantastic area , lots to do for all ages of children.
    "Great unforgettable holiday"
Just came back from holiday with my husband and 2 boys aged 12 and 3 years and I have to say that this holiday has been an unforgettable one for us. We were given reasonable information such as meal times etc although I would appreciate if the hotel provides more information in the room welcome pack. Also I wasn't made aware that extra payment required with a deposit refundable at the end for security lockers. I also found there's a lack of information as regards to wifi connection in our room as there was a specific site to go to in order to enter the username and password provided to us in order to get connected to wifi. However, these were solved immediately without much hassle and the wifi worked well in the end. There were also slight niggles like air condition not working and one faulty bed leg, again they were fixed without causing too much of a problem. The room was very clean, there were regular cleaning staff during our 11 night stay and they were very accommodating if we needed extra toilet rolls or towels. We paid for full board and I have to say the food was fantastic, lots of freshly produced, great variety even for the fussy eaters and good value for money for those who haven't opted for full board. There were daily and nightly entertainment for kids as well as the adults and I have to mention both Pepe and Greta were superb in their jobs. Both of them seemed to have boundless of energy with the kids and made the entertainment really fun and involving for them . Even myself and my husband enjoyed watching the kids entertainment. Pepe and Greta also does the aqua aerobics (except Fridays and Saturdays), this is a must try for those exercise fanatics like myself. Then there were also games in the afternoon and the mini club for kids straight after the aqua aerobics, so there's always plenty to do if one prefers to have relaxing days in the hotel. Thumbs up to Pepe and Greta and please continue to keep up both of your great work. The best beach with white sand, playa del duque is about 15-20 mins walk maybe about 30 mins if you have young children with little legs. The beach outside the hotel I have to say is a little disappointing as it's quite pebbly but is still okay for those who mind walking a little further. There are also bus stops outside the hotel which make travelling arrangements convenient. The buses were punctual during our day trips but please note there are slight differences in bus times on weekends. If you are slightly at loss of what to do during your trip here, the hotel reception area provides quite a lot of information as regards to excursions, day outings and market days etc. Overall I would recommend this hotel to those who wish to visit costa adeje Tenerife. It is very family orientated and good value for money. I also think it's worth paying the extra for room on the top floor with sea views as well as with air condition and wifi as it has definitely made our stay all the more pleasant. We will be choosing this hotel when we visit Tenerife in the near future.
    "Fab family hotel"
It was our first time visiting Tenerife. Hotel in a lovely location next to the beach, nice to sit looking out to sea whilst having your breakfast. The appartment was fine for a family of four on half board with little kitchenette to cook if needed. However we ate like kings every morning and evening in the hotel so no cooking for mum....hurray. Buffet style meals excellent, cater for all preferences even for my kids who can be fussy, vast selection! Hotel staff very helpful. Problems dealt with speedily such as when i forgot my personal code to get in my safe in the room. Engineer came within half an hour at no extra cost. Supermarket next door for essentials. On a bus route but taxi often cheaper. Hotel sorted us out a cheap hire car for one week of our stay to visit other side of island. Big plus is its location near Siam Park, fantastic water park. Lovely clean hotel and we will certainly go there again.
    "The best family holiday ever!"
I have just come back from a week staying at the Jardin Caleta and had the most amazing holiday. I went with my partner and three boys 14, 12 and 8. It was very relaxing as we spent most of the week by the pool. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment overlooking the sea which was spacious and immaculately clean. We had free Wifi which my boys were pleased about. The pool area was very well kept and there were always plenty of beds to go around. The entertainment guy was brilliant, without being annoying, as he got everyone involved that wanted to be! We stayed full board which was exceptionally good value for money. There was so much variety every day and always something for my fussy children to choose from. We all loved the buffet. All personnel were very attentive and welcoming. What I loved the most was that there were all nationalities staying in the hotel, but predominantly Spanish I would say. We took a pleasant five minute walk up into the village most nights, although it was quiet and there were not many restaurants, it was very pretty. I was thankful we were far away from the hustle and bustle of Las Americas, as this was the quiet relaxing holiday we all needed. The only disappointment was the volcanic black beach outside the hotel which wasn't very inviting to sit on, but was lovely to be by the sea. Overall we all agreed that it was the best family holiday we have ever had! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back there for sure .
    "Great location"
On arrival the reception staff are welcoming and explained all we needed to know. I had sent an email explaining we would like a pool view south facing, that is exactly what we got. Room 140 was perfect except for the lack of sockets. Only 3 points and one was for the TV, which only had one English speaking channel, Sky news international. The lack of air conditioning meant we slept on top of the covers with the patio doors open. Hotel grounds are perfectly maintained on a daily basis. 3 pools (one rooftop) meant plenty of space for all and lifeguard kept all in check. Breakfast was fine with range of different tastes where as evening meal was a hit or a miss. My bug bear is the fact you don't get Tea or Coffee with your evening meal and must purchase liquids from them. We took in our own water only to be informed it was not allowed. I detest when hotels force extra money out of you when you've already paid for Half Board. Bus outside hotel never stuck to timetable so be prepared to wait. Everywhere seemed to be 1.50 per person. Taxi into Las Americas roughly 14.
    "Great Hotel, Great Price"
My friend and I have just returned from our trip to Tenerife. As a frequent visitor to the H10 Costa Adeje Palace, I had my reservations as to whether Jardin Caleta could deliver - boy was I wrong! For the price, this hotel is just fantastic. Spotlessly clean, spacious apartments, great quiet location, it is perfect for a relaxing break. We spent our days on one of the very quiet roof top terraces. We chose this to escape from the children at the pool, and the views and hot tub were bliss!! Only niggle, if you wanted a drink, you had to head all the way back down the lifts and over to the pool bar. A small inconvenience only. At breakfast, there was a good selection of cooked items, cereals, yogurts, pastries, hams and cheeses. Dinner on the other head never seemed as appetising. The menu outside the restaurant looked very basic each night and didnt really cater to our tastes. There are some great little restaurants locally, including some basic but lovely beachfront places in Fanabe (30-40 min coastal walk / 4 euro cab ride) Overall for the price, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel!
    "4th visit"
We've just come back from a week's stay at the Jardin Caleta, having stayed there 3 times previously and once again had a lovely holiday there. We like the location of the hotel and the apartments are kept very clean and are of a nice standard. There's a lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds and shades. We were half-board on this occasion and found the food to be fresh with a good choice of dishes. The staff deserve a mention - the reception staff were friendly and helpful and the cleaners and restaurant staff also do a very good job. We will definitely be back again.
    "Good hotel"
We have just returned from this hotel and would like to share some of our comments, we had a pool view room on the 1st floor good sunny aspect which is perfect for us. the room is spacious with a small kitchenette and spacious balcony. The food is some of the best we've had compared with some higher rated hotels we've stayed at, with an excellent selection and quality although some times this could have been a little hotter The location is quiet but there are some nice bars etc in the village and plenty of walking and the bus and taxi service is good value My only complaint would be the bar set up, the pool bar offers very good value for food and drink but closes at 5:30 they then open the sport bar which isn't very inviting unless you want to watch sport on 3 different tv screens (mainly football) there is some light entertainment in the evenings but the configuration of the bar means that there are concrete pillars in the line of view. and the bar closes at 11:30 with the lights being turned off. In general I'd like to stay here for 2 weeks next year as it is what we look for in a relaxing hotel and holiday, but i would find it difficult to sleep on their beds for this length of time so a bit of a dilemma another week maybe.
    "An enjoyable experience"
This hotel/apartment lived up to everything good we had read about it. Everywhere was immaculately clean, the food was really good, staff friendly and evening entertainment. The pools on the smaller side but sufficient and plenty of sunbeds with thick covers to lie on. We went half board which gives us time in day to explore. Very quiet location but within walking distance of a few bars, restaurants and supermarkets etc. One day we walked all the way down the coast, through El Duque,Costa Adeje, Torviscas, Las Americas and on to Los Cristianos. Taxis and a very good bus service from outside the hotel. The only negative point is that there is no decent beach until El Duque but that is only a 15 minute walk away. We would go back and stay in this hotel again.
"Enjoyed our stay would come back"
The hotel is in the quite village of La caleta, so not for those who like a lively nightlife. We had visited La Caleta last year and enjoyed some really good restaraunts , so thats why we chose the hotel for the location. The hotel is very clean and the staff are freindly we were on a B & B basis and the breakfast choice was good the hotel is used as a base for swimming and football clubs due to the nearby facilities and being English we were very much in a minority , more scandanavians I would say which is good to meet new people We can very much reccomend restaraunt 88 and pisces which were excellant we didnt use the hotel bar much there was a nice little bar next to the hotel which was very good and also a supermarket should you need anything We were given a room about as far away from reception as you could get , we had a mountain view which we preferred to a pool view, we were going to ask for an upgrade to a sea view room but we knew the hotel was full so didnt ask all in all an excellant hotel for the price we paid and would reccomend this hotel if you want a quite stay in Tenerife and love seafood restaraunts
    "Excellent Stay"
We have just come back from a 24 day holiday at this Hotel and for a 3 stars it was excellent. We had a sea facing superior room which was sunny all day. This hotel was kept exceptionally clean in all areas. The staff very good and attentive and any small problems fixed in a very short time. I am very fussy with my food but found there was always something that I liked and there was always the extensive salad bar. One of the pools was warm which made for enjoyable swimming. There was evening entertainment not all to my taste, but I would recommend the Arian Show - Belling Dancing Essence, which I thought very good. What I enjoyed was the position of the Hotel, on the sea front in a very quite area near good restaurants, but it was easy enough to walk down the coast along the prom into the busier part of Costa Adeje. The bus stop was outside the entrance, so easy to get around. My only small point is that I would have like thicker towels. I look forward to returning to this hotel.
"Relaxing but fun if you wanted it"
We arrived early to check in, well before the allocated room arrival time but we were greeted very politely and were given our room straight away - top service from reception for customer service there. The room was very clean and perfectly well suited for our stay, it was also cleaned daily to a high standard. The hotel facilities were all good, sunbeds were available around pool area and the pools were clean and with a lifeguard - the heated one was a blessing in the winter months. We were bed and breakfast and found the choices of food to be very good, in fact the only problems with breakfast was the queing for coffee machines - it could take 10 minutes to get a drink as the machines kept on breaking. We ate once in the evening here and found the choice large and a good standard as well as being value for money. No complaints then for here or the resort - it was a good 4 night break and I would recommend taking the time to try some of the local cafe's as the food there was good too.
