We have recently stayed here in January. Hotel is great. Very friendly staff from receptionist to snack bar. Mark is extremely helpful. Our room was basic but very clean. Towels every other day. Beds changed regularly. It is located on a hilly incline so if you do have mobility issues then think about it. You can get a free courtesy bus every day down to fanabe beach there n back with good times so nothing much to moan about. Overall a great holiday and we left happy. Turns out to be one of the best holidays we have had. Bar prices excellent. Lift available. Fantastic sunsets.

    "Catered for all our needs"
    The room we stayed in was cheerful ,clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and fully tiled bathroom. We saw one dead cockroach during our one week stay.The restaurant, disco bar and pool area were only a few minutes from our room with lifts available if needed .Being all inclusive , the meals had a variety of choices ,I found the fish to be fresh and appetising .A free bus is available to take you to the lovely seaside town of Fanabe during the day ,with a taxi costing four euros .In short, we had a relaxing, warm and sunny vacation ,helped by the pleasant and hard working members of staff .I would have no hesitation in returning to this value for money location!!

    you get what you pay for, it is a little dated and shabby in places but value for money- clean- good facilities across resort but would have loved a kettle - choice BnB, half board or all in- superb views of town and hills- massive pool- bit of a walk up the hil but need it after all them 1euro pints on the sea front. Make of it what you will we had a ball.

    we have just come home from staying at Laguna park 2, we paid 260 (350) for 8 nights for 3 adults And you get what you pay for. Accommodation is basic but you have everything you need. We had a beautiful view from our balcony! We were self catering and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had food at the pool bar and it was nice, very simple but nice. The 3 pools where immaculate, and so where the areas surrounding! Staff were very pleasant and helpful! We have booked to stay here again in May!

    After reading poor reviews I was pleasantly surprised!! Staff friendly, clean apartments & good breakfast! Really big selection to choose from an tasty too!! Within walking distance to some friendly local bars, a lovely Chinese Buffett & a 1 mike straight walk to Siam park.

    "Fantastic for my family"
    Me, my 2 Year old daughter and my mother with ger family lived there for 7days. I havet nothing really to complain about! We had lots of fun, met som new fantastic people and got memories to feel happy about. De walked up & down the hill eweryday and it didn't bother US (and I NEVER exercise!) just walk slowly!

    Just got home from a holiday at laguna park 2 no problems or complaints with this hotel staff were polite and helpful rooms were basic but very clean the hill up to the hotel was a bit of a struggle but there is a free buss that takes you down and bring you back up on an hourly service overall fantastic hotel
    "Basic, everything OK"
    Everything worked good, had no problems with anything. An OK place for the money we paid. Nice view from the balcony. A bit far away from the beach above a steep hill, but they had a free bus service to the beach. Lots and lots of stairs from the pool up to the rooms. Breakfast was good. Would go again.
    "Fantastic"
    Stayed in mid November and was a it apprehensive reading the reviews. Hotel room was near reception so got wifi in bedroom. Was really surprised at the size of the apartment with a massive terrace, decent sized bedroom (though had to put two single beds together to make a double bed), large living room kitchen and a lovely bathroom. Was suprised to have a fridge freezer as opposed to just a fridge and surprised the safe was only 5 euros but you got that back at the end of your stay. Rooms were clean. I was expecting a big steep hill but wasn't that bad at all! Would definately stay again
    "Laguna Park 2"
    We booked this hotel through On The Beach for a short winter break. Having read the reviews on tripadvisor we were aprehensive to say the least but we found that we were more than saitsfied with what we found. Anyone who claims this is not value for money needs to take a look at the price paid,you would not buy a ticket for a local drama society performance and expect the Royal Shakespear co. The complex is clean and well kept the staff were all friendly and most help full.We stayed on an all-in basis and found the food to be prepared and presented in a fashion way beyond the level of the Hotel rating. So if you thinking of booking this hotel we can recomend it highly but dont expect 5 star for 3 star prices. overall verdict : Very good and we will go back again next December.

    Nice place to stay, worth the money, if you find it hard to walk up hills then dont stay here due to the hills, but we will stay again , its ok to walk down , the free bus that takes you into town is good and on time

    Was a lovely stay, enentertainer Jorge was absolutely brilliant made my stay! Great getaway and the view was beautiful, pool was relaxing could do with heating a bit, but I er all really enjoyed myself

    I stayed here for a week with my husband and 18 month old son, I was a little concerned initially due to the reviews id read, but have to say was pleasantly surprised.the hotel was clean and looked nice and our room was big and also clean.I really liked the hotel it's just ashame that the complex itself is hilly and the hotel itself is on a steep hill, which would be ok if your fit. However I struggled as I'm 6 months preggo! (travel companies fault) overall would be perfect if I could pick it up and put it at the bottom of the hill. (It is a basic hotel but we paid a basic price.)

    Been here from the 19/Nov/14' to 26/Nov/14', once arrived we were greeted and were shown to our apartment.At the first minute we didn't like (it looked like a basement and was really small) so we decided to change it, and we did without any problem. We took the bed and breakfast option which was great! The food was tasty and simple (maybe different options at different days would be nice). Apartments were clean. Staff were lovely and always willing to help. Entertainment was great (We won a prize a bottle of champagne). Overall I would highly recommend it to anyone despite some pitfalls.

    Some people on here must take a clipboard on holiday I swear! Great holiday food basic but good only real complaint on all inclusive was after two days they stopped serving pints had to have two halves Room clean and all you need in kitchen area As some have said hill is large Try the Irish Rover about 10 minutes walk for a good night as well

    After reading the reviews on this place before I went I was worried but It was great only a short downhill walk away from all the shops and beach. However the hill on the way back is a nightmare but for a couple of euros you can get a taxi. The apartment was spacey and clean. I recommend this place for family holidays lovely place to stay and amazing views of the area.

    Good location, right near the dolphinaruim. Great pool. We stayed self catering. Stayed over christmas, fully recommended, carn't beat xmas day out at sea and sun bathing on the beach. Loved it. We will stay again.

    A large group of us have just returned from this resort. I can honestly say we had a great time staying here. The resort is nicely situated you can relax here or a short trip to playa Las Americas for the nightlife (bars/restaurants/posh shops) all at a very affordable price. The hotel staff could not do enough for us, no matter what time of the night or day, no request was to much bother. Everyone was friendly and plesant. The free bus to the beach stops right here, aqua park is a short ride away. One staff member even dropped one of the group to the bus station when they missed thier transfer, at no cost. Some people want a 10 holiday and to be treated like the Ritz but we all agree this is a fantastic place to stay. Next time I will even take the kids lol.

    My partner and I stayed at Laguna Park 2 the first week in November. We had stayed there before around 7 years ago and loved it. Therefore we also had a good idea what we were getting and still went back for more.We stayed self-catering (again) and found the food bought around the pool from the restaurant cheap and good very good value. The apartment was lovely, plenty of room, clean and had reasonable cooking facilities, fridge, microwave, oven cutlery etc. The sheets and towels were changed regularly and we only stayed six nights. Lovely veranda to sit on in the evening with some lovely views, (particularly the little white church at the top of mountain). The staff were friendly and helpful (apart from the man in the irritating red T shirt), You know who you are lol. The Supermarket was well stocked and cheap, value for money, actually as cheap as Tesco's 'Value Price' items. The pool area was clean and well tended, large pool and plenty of sunbeds. 'Cardiac Hill' as some people call it was not half as bad as made out to be if your relatively fit. The walk up and down the hill the bars/pubs nearby added to the fun in our holiday. The hill also gave us the opportunity to enjoy the views being so high up, the sunset was amazing and you wouldn't get that experience if you were based lower down in a resort. The food and drink nearby was cheap and sufficient just what you would expect. Just want to say a very big 'thank you' to the security guard who assisted me one evening on my way back to the apartment with my partner. We will definitely be returning again!!

    Just back from a weeks stay at Laguna Park 2 and can I say it was absolutely brilliant.!! I did read all reviews before the holiday and really didn't know what to expect. On arrival, the receptionist was very pleasant and showed us where our apts were on a highlighted map, a free card for the TV. A security guard actually took us to the lift which is right next to reception(there is a lift, a ramp, or about 12 steps) then took us straight to our room number G42. Very clean and pillows were very comfortable. Basic inside, but a lovely sea view. We were very happy. There was no kettle, but I did read that, so I bought a travel kettle which was perfect. Snack bar by the pool served great food. I would recommend the warm chicken salad wraps..only 3.50 and the chips were always piled on the plate. All food was fresh. We were not bothered by any noise at night. The view was a sea view but we could also look on to the mountains at side of apartment which was always clear and sky divers were always winging about. Local free bus is outside hotel, first bus to beach is 10.15, 11.15' then 2.15, 3.15 and last bus to beach is 4.15. If you needed a taxi, it's only a cost of 4 Euros. Hill was bit steep but after a few trips up and down , you got used to it. Plenty of local pubs and some great restaurants in the main town. Plenty shops selling designer clothes and the usual seaside items...towels, creams etc. Overall, I would say to anyone heading to these Apartments, please do not read the negative reviews but only the positive reviews and you will have a lovely holiday to look forward to. Yes, there were some ants in the apartment but hey, take ant spray in your case and use it if needbe. . After all, it is their country, and we are their guests. Lol. Have fun at Laguna Park. Towels were changed 5 times in a week with fresh sheets during week. Maids very friendly. I bought a tin of Heinz Ravioli from supermarket on site but didn't have a tin opener with me. In my broken Spanish, I asked maid for tin opener and within 20 minutes, it was in my hand. Very helpful.
    "Dont Read the Poor Reviews - its a Lovely Place"
    Very pleasantly surprised if im honest. We stayed in E1 nice sea view, very clean comfortable, all kitchen equipment good,bedding and towels changed every other day, maids very pleasant cant be more helpful we had extra towels and pillows too. Pool area was clean and spacious, Jayne was very helpful and chatty on pool bar. Music was varied but not anoying at all.I would say the guy on reception was slightly aloof but not rude.I think we got very good value for money and its in a good position close to many good restaurants, beach, Aqualand, try Chaplins 3 course special we did..Ok yes its on a hill but if you want to tone up them thighs like i did then great news,if you are overweight and lazy get a taxi... day trips better if you book direct we went to Aqualand cost us 43 euros the very anoying british cocky guy in reception quoted us 60 euros....enough said..overall we would return to Laguna Park II on studio only and eat out perfect every time very cheap and great quality eateries. My privately educated son who is 11 said it was the nicest place he had stayed for a long time. Its 3 star remember that.. a lot of the whingers on trip advisor tend to forget and want something for nothing if you want 5* then pay for it is my advice.We will return no doubt.

    I read the reviews about this hotel after it was booked and wasn't particularly looking forward to staying here. I was pleasantly surprised. Location is as it says on a hill so don't book if that's a problem. Nice walk down and a 4 taxi back up solved that problem but inside hotel complex has a lot of steps and ramps. Helped keep my weight down but it could be a problem for some. Reception staff were very pleasant. Our room was decent but we didn't have a sunny balcony. Considering most others did that was just bad luck and didn't spoil holiday. Poolside is amazing. Very large area for sun beds and a huge pool. Yes it's salt water but it wasn't a problem. Not that cold either. Lots of facilities. Tennis & badminton courts, crazy golf, etc. Pool bar had a plentiful supply of alcohol including cocktails. Amstel lager on tap. Free toasties and sandwiches for all inclusive. I can see it might get very busy in high season though. Restaurant food was acceptable for this type of hotel. We had most of our breakfasts and lunches here and 4 evening meals. I heard a few complaints made by other guests. I think they need to realise waiting a couple of minutes because the fried eggs had run out isn't really a disaster ! The staff were friendly considering the attitude of some guests. If you don't want to eat here there's restaurants a 10 minute walk where you can get 3 course meals for 7.50 including steaks. Victorias and Chinese buffet were excellent value. Local bars sell pints of lager for as little as a euro. Overall I thought I got excellent value for money and if I was looking for a cheap holiday would definitely come back.
