This hotel was recently renovated and the rooms are about the best I have stayed in. Beautiful flooring instead of carpeting, lovely showers, nice artwork on the walls, a comfortable chaise lounge and the bed was wonderful. Mini-fridge and safe in the room, and complimentary water and coffee/tea in the room. The location is excellent; right in the heart of Charleston, close to the City Market. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

"Everything you expect but nothing more"
If you like Marriott, you will like this hotel. It's modern, clean, and nicely located. The rooms are average size, with bed, seating, and desk. The desk and nightstand have power sources for computers/phones. The shower has a rain shower head and handheld head. Service is polite.
"Love this place"
Been to the Renaissance Marriott many times as a stop over for at least 4 nights. This is a Great Location. Shopping / tours/ relaxing / Nearby beaches. - it's all nearby. Park ur car across the street in the garage or valet. What I enjoy most is the rooftop pool. Not many hotels in downtown have a pool Although not big, you can take a dip, lounge and relax. There is a bar / restaurant on lower level. However if visiting , there are so many places to eat in town The Oak Steak house is A Must. For me, I really enjoy the small beach towns just a short drive from downtown such as Folly Beach and Sullivan Island or Kiawah. etc. Just 20 minutes away - hit the beach and come back to the Marriott and have dinner in town. The hotel is spotless - spotless - spotless Very nice staff overall. Doorman Charles is always our fav. The rooms are nice. They have undergone a renovation and I didn't get a chance to stay in the newly renovated rooms as when I was there they had a few model rooms and a small section of hall completed. However next time I will request or perhaps they all will be finished. The remodeled rooms / halls look great. There are so many historic sites in town such as the 1st shots fired to start to civil war. Great sight seeing for kids. Many ghost tours also. If you like seafood- this is the town to go and seek the cool rooftop bars and seafood dishes Gym on 3rd floor is sufficient and adequate It also leads to the pool. For those hardcore gym people, there is a very large gym across the street Need ur Starbucks? Just 1 block away Overall- excellent hotel for all.
