Why Stay Here?

San Marino Is Situated On The Flat Area Of Los Cristianos In Tenerife And Not On The Hilly Area, Important If You Have Difficulty With Walking Or Have Young Children.

It Is An Easy Walk To The Centre Of Los Cristianos For Shopping & Nightlife

Las Americas Is One Of The Most Popular Town In Tenerife South With Incredible Beaches

Booked the room independantly as many of the apartments of the San Marino are privately owned. Myself, my husband and our 3 daughters (12, 9 &7) stayed in a 1 bed apartment on the 5th floor overlooking the main road. It was extremely spacious, so much so that we left the beds made up in the living area without it impeding our space. The area of Los Cristianos pretty much closes down at midnight so there's no risk of being kept awake all night. The hotel pools were attended by life guards and had a long set of rules, ie no lilos, no hats, no balls, shower before entering etc. This didn't cause much of a problem as our daughters made their own fun, however, should it have been the height of summer I would have been worried about the kids not being allowed a hat on or a t shirt whilst in the pool. The pool area itself was immaculate, as were all the hotel grounds and all staff and other residents were very polite. It was certainly very relaxing at the pool knowing there was a guard watching them. There is a seperately owned bar on the grounds where you will be made to feel very welcome and can grab a cold drink and a sandwich. The beach is only a short walk away, as is the centre of Los Cristianos. There are many shops and cafe bars within the vacinity serving very cheap and very nice food. The water park is very cheap compared to other countries and is worth visiting just to see the dolphin show which is amazing!I will be staying at this hotel again and would day it is suitable for anyone.

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

    "Very Nice Apartments"
I visited the apartments in 2012 October, we got a big room since there was four of us. Two balconies, two large rooms, a nice bathroom. The pools was nice, the only downside was that the sun went into behind buildings in the day so we couldn't get any. We went down the beach every day. The apartments, have a shop, a few bars and restaurants behind it and they were lovely food. Also the main restaurants, bars, and shops were just a five minute walk away! Deffo come back again! The airport is just 25 minutes away in a taxi, and there is a bus stand right out side the apartment so you get it to go to the airport. We got a taxi.
    "Great place to stay"
Stayed for 10 nights and found the apartments to have everything you need. Great pool and security. Shops, bars and restaurants just a stones throw away. a bus stop round the corner which stops at the Airport (111 bus outside the airport will drop you off at the apartments (6 EURO FOR TWO PEOPLE) a lot cheaper than a taxi, first time i had been and found the bus to be very easy as a form of transport.) Finally the center of los cristianos and playas de las americas can be reached by foot.
    "Fits the Bill"
We had a penthouse apartment that we rented from Royal Apartments that are based in London. The apartment was clean and spacious with magnificent views from the balcony over Los Cristianos. The only downside was the size of the hot water boiler that made it impossible to part fill a bath, we brought this to the attention of Royal Apartments who promised to investigate the issue. Access is easy to the shopping complex in the Apollo Centre with its supermarket, bars and restaurants; there is also an excellent Bakers that has fresh bread every morning and they make great sandwiches for the return flight. Overall please discount the previous negative reviews this is a nice well managed complex with cleaners out and about nearly everyday.
    "Home from home"
Try and get an apartment overlooking the pool as these have better views but the sun in the morning. The ones at the back overlook the bus station but there is a little park in front so not as bad as it sounds. If you go out of the back of the hotel on floor 0 you can get into the back street on the flat (rather steep ramps at the front and my mobility scooter struggled a bit). This street at the back has a supermarket on the left which will supply with all that you need. Just up the steps opposite the hotel, on the left, is a lovely bar called La Terrasse. Only opened early 2013 and the couple, from Paris, have the food spot on. Good prices too, 922 79 4427. Veronique and her Husband speak excellent English and you really must try this bar - the salads look too good to eat! Just past La Terrasse, go though the archway and on the right is "active" which supplies mobility scooters etc. tel 0034922789707, Derek is very helpful. Loungers around the pool cost 2 euros a day but we had mats in our apartment that fitted on the top nicely. We liked the fact that some things had been left in the flat for our use - olive oil, hairspray etc but could not comment on all apartments as they are owned by different people.
    "perect location"
we stayed in a privately owned studio apartment on the fourth floor where we got the evening sun from 5pm till 7pm.There is always plenty of space at the pool as sunbeds are 2 euros. .Lovely warm pools open from 10am till 6pm with lifeguard on duty, and the whole area kept very clean.Complex is right beside bus station, supermarket, bakery, restaurants and church.Perfect relaxing place for the older traveller.
    "Convenient and a good base"
I have stayed here twice four years apart, and the Brits-abroad aspects make me laugh. We turned up after the reception had closed and encountered a friendly but non-English speaking security guard before eventually picking up our keys - in the pub. I meant to pop in for a few Doradas the following evening but the outdoor tables were all taken with middle-aged Brits listening to a karaoke rendition of Diana Ross from within. The second-floor apartment was spacious and airy with double bedroom, kitchen, living room with TV and a balcony. Getting your own pad, complete with mop in the bathroom, is none too shabby for just over a hundred quid for two nights. The boozer and a couple of restaurants next door are available if you need them, but you're spoilt for choice in this corner of Tenerife, whether you like karaoke bars or fine dining. There was no hot water but we didn't complain because we didn't really need it - I went swimming at the 50metre pool down the road every day and showered at the beach. The room also did not have air conditioning or a fan, but the way the apartment keeps cool and overheating wasn't a problem if you make sure to air it before bed. It's a 10minute saunter down to the coast and a little longer to Tenerife's largest and sandiest beach Playa de la Vistas. In fact, it's all an easy walk or cab ride away. Highly recommended, pub 'n' all.
"For what we paid it was excellent"
Great value for our money! Booked two appartments through a friends friend that said the complex was good but not 5star! So we expected to get average! When we got there we were chuffed the place was miles better than we expected! nice area and nice restaurants just walking distance! All in all was perfect, maybe the only down side was that it was a bit noisey some nights! We shall be back next year!
    "Lovely complex."
My husband and I stayed at the San Marino Apartments for 2 weeks beginning of April, we had a lovely apartment booked independently on the 6th floor with sea view. The apartment is privately owned so was well equipped with everything even a washing machine. The last time we went to Tenerife was 10 years ago and I must admit we were very impressed with the resort now. At the back of the apartments there are a row of bars and restaurants, recommend Porkies for breakfast and the roast dinner on Sunday. The Merry Monk is a brill place to have a drink, Happy hour from 6-8. James the host is a great guy. Also on the complex is a great Chinese called Overseas. But you are spoilt for choice for eating out. With the euro being so bad at the moment we thought things would be expensive but this was not the case, meals were around the same prices as here, drinks cheaper though. We found the supermarkets rather expensive for essential items, there is a Netto at the back of the apartments and a larger one across on the left pass the large roundabout, this was alot cheaper then Netto and had a bigger selection. A great way to get out and about is to buy a bus pass works out alot cheaper then paying each time. The taxis were reasonable as well. The bus stops and taxis are right next to the San Marino. If you like Soul Music then Soul Divine in Playa Las Americas is a great place, they have a Temptations evening, Four Tops and Supremes evening which we really enjoyed.
    "Very Nice Hotel"
My boyfriend and I stayed at the San Marino in November 2008. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment which was very spacious with a balcony facing the pool which got the morning sun. The Hotel/Pool very clean and well looked after. The apartment was a bit dated but that was fine. It's a nice 10 min stroll down to the seafront with plenty of restaurants. This hotel is also on the flat which is good for people with walking difficulties.
    "terrific"
stayed here at san marino last 3 years with different owners going back jan 2009 love the place nice pool area handy for shops and bars next to bus terminus for trips to anywhere on island cheers bar on complex good night out with scotch eddie
    "Great Winter Holiday"

    ""Perfect.""
It is anywhere near, 10 min walk to the beach and the old part of Los Cristianos, with its cozy shopping at the side stops for the buses that spread all over the island and go to the two airports and is cheap supermarket around the corner. Spanish and English restaurants nearby. Two swimming pools and sun beds can be rented at the reception. And what is important for me after 23:30 generally quiet. For night life you need to Las Americas, there are no nightclubs here.
