It's been almost a year since my boyfriend and I stayed here and we still find ourselves chasing the unforgettably relaxing experience we had at The Reef 28's spa. I never got how people fall asleep during massages- as I usually find them slightly painful or tickle-inducing... Until we tried this place. I fell asleep during the massage, it was that good! The staff are all very friendly, everything very clean, less than 5 min walk to the beach, tourist shopping, restaurants & bars, free shuttles to their two sister resorts, and excellent food at their lobby restaurants too!

Cachito, The Reef 28?s signature restaurant, is proud to announce the debut of a newly redesigned menu by internationally renowned Chef de Cuisine, Margarita Carrillo. The new menu is an exciting new feature for the trendy, adults-only, boutique hotel in the heart of Playa del Carmen. Chef Carrillo herself will be overseeing the menu with plans to focus on seasonal offerings. While dishes will always be traditional, guests can expect interesting and innovative items including everything from coconut and chili-based sauces to dishes infused with flowers, depending on the time of year.
In 2016, Carrillo was recognized by the government as Culinary Ambassador of Mexico, and the Conservatory of Mexican Gastronomic Culture appointed her Vice President of Gatronomic Projects.
