Would like to say Merry Christmas to all at Cancun Bay Resort! We stayed at the resort for our 22nd Anniversary with a group of 10 people from Ohio and had an absolutely fantastic time!!! The staff was wonderful! WE miss you all!! Ready to come back! We spent a lot of time with Eric, our activity director, Ivan, Rafael, Lizett, and Elda who we loved dearly but also extend a thank you to all the staff in addition to those stated. They all provided outstanding service! The food was wonderful, special attention from the chef was greatly appreciated! I can go on and on! The rooms are in need of updating which is in working process. We loved the swim up bar/pool, and our long walks on the beach at night. Highly recommended! What we loved the most is that you felt like family. Everyone knew your name and sometimes we would pick up nicknames like Sharon Stone, Shawn Connery lol! Again Merry Christmas!

Perfect vacation! every person working there does everything they can to make you happy and feel at home. I would definitely recommend the all inclusive package, where you get free drinks all day from either the bar by the pool or the one in the lobby area, unlimited nachos, wings, hot dogs, burgers and fries by the pool. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the restaurant. And everyone waits on you hand and foot so if is a truely amazing stay in paradise! Ivan the bar tender is amazing and a blast to hangout with at the swim up bar. Celso and Rafael always make sure you are hydrated, full and happy anywhere you are in the building, and all the servers by a few days into your stay will know what you drink and bring it too you. Pablo the security guard was also great! Me was very friendly and knew all of our names. All of this was possible due to the fact that it was a smaller hotel, but they didn't lack anything for hospitality!
Make sure you book excursions when you are there! We did the xplor which was amazing and a must if you want to zip line, see caves and ride atvs. We also took a catamaran over to isla mujeres, which is a little island that look about 45 minutes to get too.
And lastly if you plan on shopping I hope you don't mind haggling! Because that is all the tourist stores are in cancun...
Overall a perfect stay at the perfect place in paradise and I cannot wait to go back!
"Fantastic first Cancun Experience"
My week at Cancun Bay Resort proved what I've been missing! I traveled with a large group and the food/beverage manager Lizet and staff were more than accommodating. Lizet ran a very tight ship and sincerely cared about the needs of the guests; the dining staff was very attentive. Chef created a variety of choices from the buffet: authentic Mexican or with a twist; all excellent! Rafael couldn't stop smiling and genuinely seems to love his job; nothing he couldn't do. Alan was always present with drinks. Ivan was awesome behind the bar and rocked us with his Scooby Doo! Housekeeping maintained clean, comfortable rooms daily. And Erik...super entertainment director helped make this the trip of a lifetime.

Took my daughters for a fun week in the sun. We had a blast! All inclusive food and drinks and the poolside fun was the best. Activities every day and every evening. AC in our room made it the most comfortable place in Cancun! Next time we'll visit during the winter,

The hotel staff was amazing, food was fabulous , very clean and even though we had rain , staff made the days fun! I would come back again, Erik and Alejandro, made the days fun and Alan was amazing with kitchen staff!
Let me start out by saying this is not the first time in this hotel, and it will not be my last. The staff and the wonderful views are what keeps me coming back. The hotel is a little older ,but in saying that I can tell you that I love old world charm. The staff are wonderful. the food is great and so many choices that a picky person will feel good about the selections.The rooms are very spacious and the beds and pillows make for a good night sleep.. Now for the best! the staff ! the best there is to offer,they make wrongs into rights with a smile. So pack your bags and come to the Cancun Bay Resort for the best vacation there is.. You will not regret it.. Also upgrade to a ocean view it is well worth the small sum you pay!

Cancun Bay is a great place to stay! Pretty good location, great food, but the best part was the excellent service. Armando remembered our names after the first day and didn't forget them. That's impressive! Many of the wait staff remembered our specific food and drink orders as well. Alan, Victor, and Rafael were a few other favorite waiters. Marco and Juan were helpful at the front desk. Erick helped guests get involved and have fun. The atmosphere is perfect, great place to relax and soak up the sun.
Isla Mujeres (snorkeling, stunning beaches, swimming with dolphins) and Chichen Itza (Mayan Ruins) were two separate day trips I recommend.
On another note for Cancun in general, don't sign up for a 'tour' of another resort unless you like sales presentations. Worst decision ever. Other than that, the bus system is basic and cheap, and taxis are way overpriced.

It's my very first time in Cancun, Quintana Roo and I am proud to say that it was totally awesome! My family and I had a very nice time at the hotel and the service was way better than all the places I've ever been, we're impressed that the people were so kind to us and we thank you guys for that. We loved the room's decoration because I kinda relax and it's way more than I was expecting. The location it's very secure and we certainly loved it!
We have been to Cancun meny times and having stayed in places like Rui Palace, Moon Palace and the likes around the mayan riviera we had NEVER experience the GREAT level or service offered at the Cancun Bay before!
First the airport Transfer. Our flight arrived ahead of schedule and suprise! Ourdriver was already waiting for us! No fuss!
The welcoming at reception couldnt be warmer, our bell managed to take our bags to our room whilst we had a little welcome drink. Everythig worked to perfection, the Tv with OVER 70 CHANNELLS! Free Safe, Lovely Air conditioning, table,sink, lovely bed and a view to die for!!!
Breakfast was never the same two days in a row and despite having plenty of choice we were always reminded that they would ba happy to cater to ANY requests! and they did!
Free WIFI at the lobby. The beach was immaculate clean, the jacuzzi at the pool bar was great, every little detail was taken care for us!
We never had to get up early to save a place by the pool, or make a trip to the restaurant. Food was always ready and LOVELY!
We could say amillion things but above all what makes this place an ideal place for everyone is the staff. I kept thinking "my mum would love this, my friends would really love coming here... I WANNA GO BACK THERE TODAY!!.

Probably the best value for Canadians I was amazed to see 5 Flights from Saskatchewan to Cancun in one day No wonder it is all in lnclusive and a lovely warm climate.
The hotel service is excellent, the staff has a lot of human qualities to treat their guests, friendliness, cleanliness and food are the best. Would settle in this hotel, the facilities allow you dive into a quiet family atmosphere. Distances commercial points not so long and there are many mobility options except taxis that we are expensive.
This was my first time in the hotel CANCUN BAY RESORT. and it will n ot be my last ,the lobby was so inviting that I did not need to go any further, I felt so welcomed by the staff at the front desk. the rooms are clean and spacious,with a nice ocean view.The dinning area is beautiful and ultra modern.There are two pool areas,one is for quiet relaxation and the other for persons who enjoy the beautiful ocean view and music .Now the most important the food was wonderful and very tasty-the manager of foods is always around the resturant asking if she could get you anything or fix something special for you.So overall if you want a small ,quiet,relaxing place to rest the Cancun bay would be my hotel of choice.

We just returned from a Cancun sailing vacation (separate review coming) and our trip ended at 9am but we had a 5pm flight so we were in search of a place to spend the day and found this hotel. They were very hospitable and offered us day passes for $40 with full access to all amenities including food & drinks. While we were there they also showed us their rooms & we spoke with other guests. The food was very good, drinks were also good, everything was clean & neat and we received great customer service. Their room rates are crazy inexpensive and we are planning a trip back with our grandkids this summer to stay for a few nights.
It was the first time I visited Cancun. The hotel is located at 3.5 km of Hotel zone, not far from the downtown. I had the all-inclusive package and found the food to be very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. When I visit Cancun next time I am most likely to stay at this hotel. I would recommend this hotel.
