This was a very nice clean hotel. The staff was very nice and you can easily come across a guest who has been booking this hotel yearly for 15+ years. The pool was exceptional and watched it be cleaned several times. The Breakfast was really good but just KNOW that it gets really crowded. We had great weather so sitting outside was great. It is a very easy drive to the parks. This will be our go to when not staying at DW from now on!

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

What Our Customers Are Saying

Written Review

"a super place"
Stayed for 21 nights from 1st may. Pay no heed to negative reviews you may read. For what you pay i could not fault the place at all. A great base to go wherever you want. We used the free shuttle a lot and all drivers were great especially Jonathan. Stayed in room 301 and every day the room was made up and clean towels so maids did great job too. Do not hesitate to book.Already decided to go back next may.
"Perfect shelter from Disney Madness with convenient location"
This little motel is perfect for those not wanting to stay on Disney premises. My husband and I wanted to do a Disney/Universal trip, but after one look at the Disney Hollywood resort with it's 101 Dalmations theme I couldn't imagine being surrounded by screaming kids for our 10 days holiday. This place was very quiet (we had a poolside room on the lower floor), and a sanctuary away from the noise. Comes with a coffee maker (which we used to make espresso every morning), a half sized fridge (with lots of room for groceries so we could make lunches every day for our park excursions), and plenty of room for two people. The grocery store is literally across the street (Winn-Dixie), along with several restaurants and a liquor store. There are free shuttles to Disney/Universal/Sea World. We also found a sneaky way we could walk into Animal Kingdom from the motel, about a 20 min walk for fit people. From there you can take a Disney shuttle to any park you want to go to for free. The pool bar at the Clarion was open until the pool closed at 11pm, and served amazing pina coladas. The room came with breakfast vouchers for a pretty decent breakfast complete with mickey mouse waffles. This location is also walking distance to gift shops and several other shopping complexes. We took our vacation in October/November so walking in the heat wasn't an issue. Others may not want to walk as much as we did during the hot summer months, but we were prepared with our hydration packs carrying each at least 1L of water. I would recommend hydration backpacks with 2L; they are convenient for carrying around water and snacks if you plan to be at the parks all day. Parking at the theme parks is upwards of 20$/day, so the free shuttle is a great savings feature. We only rented a car for the last few days of our trip since we wanted to visit the Kennedy Space Center, but a car was pretty unnecessary for just visiting the parks. All in all it was a great trip. I was a bit worried after having read some of the other reviews, but this motel is exactly what you would expect from a 3 star motel, and more. We were very happy with it. Just remember to ask for a Do Not Disturb sign....if you make your own out of hotel stationary, they will give eventually give you one.
"Our second stay at this hotel"
Stayed with my son for a quick Disney getaway. The prices are extremely reasonable. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is included with your stay. There is a good selection of hot items (We had eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage and potatoes, but there were other items!) , cereals and oatmeal, toasters for the bread and bagels, fruit and juices, coffee and tea, and even make your own Mickey shaped waffle irons. Definitely something for everyone. The pool area is very nice! Large heated pool, splash pad for the toddlers, and a spa. There's also a nice pool bar to get a drink including several frozen treats to help you cool off from the sun. I believe they serve food as well. There are MANY places to eat within walking distance (all basically next door!)- Cracker Barrel, Carrabba's, TGI Friday's, Subway, Outback Steakhouse, Chinese, Sushi (We loved the sushi place!), and Giordano's pizzeria. Winn Dixie supermarket and a mini golf course are also within walking distance. If you go 1/2 a mile in any direction, you probably have at least a dozen more restaurants. You are literally 2 miles from the edge of Disney's property. We were able to see more than one of the fireworks shows from the pool. If you plan on going to Disney, this is a great place to stay. You can drive to any of their parks in just a few minutes AND the hotel has free shuttles if you would rather not drive. As my title says, it's our second time here. We will definitely stay here again.
"Great location, staff, pool and accomodations!"
My mom and I stayed here for 1 week. It was located close to many restaurants, shopping and the Disney attractions. The breakfast (Eggs, biscuits, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, toast, bagels, waffles, etc; coffee, juice, milk) that was included surpassed my expectations and the staff working at Jumbo's were excellent. We had a small issue in getting the right room when we arrived but the front desk staff quickly addressed it and it was taken care of immediately. There was also an issue with the A/C but again it was taken care of immediately and the staff followed up to ensure that everything was okay. These were minor issues that did not affect our stay or opinion of the hotel. The hotel, pool and walkways are well maintained and cleaned. One day, a cleaner cleaned every single railing on the fence around the pool. The maids and maintenance were all friendly, as well. The snack bar at the pool was also great. Good prices and friendly staff. In regards to the location, it is easy to get from the airport to the hotel. There is a great grocery store across from the pool area called Marketplace. It was great as these rooms are equipped with microwaves and fridges. We made good use of both. And all shopping/outlets and restaurants are close! I would recommend this hotel for couples, families, etc. We were in Florida on holiday for R & R and at the Clarion Maingate, we were definitely able to relax. Wifi was also easy and consistent to use. Would definitely come back.
"1 week stay"
Clarion was way more then what we expected. Stayed with my mom and cousin for 1 week. Very clean, comfy beds, awesome pool and really nice big hot tub. We had a breakfast package, food was good. Eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles, juice bar. Bathroom was nice and large for 3 girls.
"Saved our night"
We arrived at the Clarion Suites at nearly 1AM after our booked hotel down the road informed us upon check-in that they were overbooked and did not have a room available. Mike, was great and got us settled in our room as they worked out details with Expedia. Breakfast was different from the usual cereal, bagels, and toast. They also offered pancakes, eggs, sausage etc. The room was very large, and beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean and quiet. Although we did not stay there for more than a few hours to lay our heads and shower, I will definitely book there in the future.
"great place, great staff, great location"
we've stayed at the Clarion for 10 days, and just got back on Saturday. We travelled with our 2.5 year old, so needed a family friendly place. When we arrived at check-in, we got a very warm welcome from the gentleman at the front desk. When we got to our room, it was very nice and spacious, (we had a 2 double bed room, but all rooms also have a sleeper couch in it, which we didn't use but it's very nice to have, especially when travelling with a bigger family...). The hotel has 3 pools, 1 big one, 1 heated spa and a kiddiepool with water flowing from a mushroom overhead. The kiddiepool was a bit cold because the water keeps flowing, but my son didn't seem to mind as much as me haha. The location is great, even if you don't plan on renting a vehicle (which we did do), there are shops and restaurants at walking distance from the hotel, which is very convenient. If you plan on visiting the theme parks, they have free shuttle service to and from, also very nice, though we didn't use the service because we had a rental. We met a lot of the staff during our stay, and everyone was always friendly and very helpful, especially Nicole (the account manager). Whatever question we had or assistance we needed, the was there to answer and help us. We highly recommend this hotel, and we will for sure be back when we're heading to Orlando again! Oh and as a sidenote, make sure to try out the Italian restaurant next door called Carabba's and the one at the Formosa Gardens village next door called Taste of China... great food at great prices... The restaurant on property (Jumbo's), we've tried roomservice one night, and the service itself was good (they call you before they come to your room, which is nice), but the food could have been a lot better...
"Quality on a budget"
As of April 1 2012 the name changes to the Clarion. Our family with kids aged 10 and 7 just got back from a 10 day stay April 9-19 2012. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. I was pleasantly suprised. I guess I was expecting a shadier place because of how inexpensive it was. Breakfast: A hot breakfast was included daily, which included 3 kinds of cereal, 2 kinds of milk, yogurt, fruit cup, cofffffee, hot chocolate, tea, oatmeal, various juices, bread, bagels, english muffins, cream cheese, peanut butter, jam and butter, fresh fruit ready to bring with you, pastries, bacon or sausage, a new variety of egg preparation daily (hard boiled, scrambled, egg pancake) waffles 2 varieties you cook yourself one shaped like Mickey. The breakfast room was off the lobby and was airy, clean and quite large, there is also an outdoor seating area. Attendants are there constantly refilling stock and cleaning as needed. Internet: WIFI was also included but the signal was not all that strong sometimes to be honest. Rooms: The rooms were large and clean, the bathroom was larger than needed, there was a minisafe, a mini fridge and a microwave. There was an armoir for your clothes but I do wish there were more drawers so we could have unpacked the suitcases instead of living out of them.
"Awesome"
Stayed from 1/21 to 1/25 jan,2011.After being up on flights from calif for 36 hours, this was a hotel like paradise to my wife and i and our 5 year old grandaughter.Front lobby very nice, very professional.Very safe neighborhood, breakfast fantastic with a great staff.Very clean hotel.I saved the best for last a special thanks to michelle at the cabana, by the pool, what a doll, very friendly, and knows how to make a terrific long island, thanks again michelle we will be back real soon, talking in may.Comfort suites should be honored to have such a terrific employee like michelle.
"Pleasantly surprised, and very satisfied"
We arrived at this hotel (price = $59 per night) not expecting much but were surprised at how friendly the staff were and clean the room was. Since it was only noon on the day we were to check in, it was surprising that they had a room available since the previous night they were sold out but the cleaning staff was litterally running to clean up. The front desk was down to earth and helpful, the premises were clean and you receive a 2 for 1 drink coupon upon checkin, along with a complimentary breakfast which included bacon and eggs and waffles, it was more than satisfactory. I find it unfortunate that some people do have a not so great stay and there are others who compare their stay to all hotels. This is a no nonsense hotel, no breakfast in bed, no roomservice, nothing but decent hardworking people who are willing to go out of their way to please you if you gave them half a chance. For the price, the value was far exceeding higher priced hotels. I do not that they had a clean hotel, free wireless (most more expensive hotels charge for wireless), free light breakfast (again the more expensive charge for this), 2 for 1 drinks at the poolside bar and friendly staff with great attitudes and to top it off a clean comfortable room. More expensive hotels may offer more but it comes at a price and nothing is free. If I were to say it is value for the money, that would be an understatement. Excellent hotel/motel for this canadian traveller.
"Favorite first-night hotel for Disney"
My wife and I travel to Disney World 1-3 times every year, and stay on property using our timeshare points. We usually arrive the night before our reservation and stay at a nice local hotel the first night to save points. The Comfort Suites Maingate is our nice hotel of choice in the area. We've stayed here a half dozen times or so. The room is always clean, ready on time, easy to access, easy to park. The hotel is located just off a strip mall with a Winn Dixie Marketplace which is a great place to stop from bottled water and snacks before checking in to our main hotel for the week. For that matter, the CS Maingate has minifridges in the rooms so you could keep snacks there too.
"Another Comfortable Stay!"
Comfort Suites Maingate is just that...A place to stay where your comfort is the #1 priority. Ted, at the front desk, makes you feel welcome as soon as you step into the lobby. Rooms are roomy, breakfast is fast and yummy, housekeeping keeps your room clean and tidy, the beds are dreamy, transportation to the theme parks is on time and user-friendly & the location is central to all points of interest, especially food. For those on a budget, a Winn-Dixie supermarket is within walking distance of the hotel. Combine that with the fridge & microwave right in your room, and you'll be saving lottsa dollars. Enjoy your stay...I always do!
"Wonderful staff, beautiful pool, great complimentary breakfast and free internet."
This is our 3rd time staying at the Clarion Suites Maingate hotel. Ray, the manager and his staff do an excellent job in making your stay a wonderful experience. The hotel can accommodate a family of 5/6 while still being reasonably priced. Our family, especially our 3 children really enjoy the beautiful, clean pool. While my husband and I also enjoy using the complimentary 2 for 1 drink coupons at the walk up poolside bar. =) The hotel offers a hot and great complimentary breakfast every morning. Our children especially love the cute waffles shaped like Mickey Mouse! The free internet service is something we definitely use during our stay. Thanks Clarion Suites for always making our stay fantastic!
"Definitely will stay again"
This was our second stay here. The first was in 2008 and I am happy to report the hotel is well-maintained. It was a great deal for the money. We were able to get a suite with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed for $75 plus taxes/fees (Florida resident rate). This included free shuttles to-and-from the Disney parks saving us $14/day parking and included breakfast for the family which saved us even more. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs & sausage, 2 waffle makers (1 makes Mickey Mouse waffles), cold cereals, toast, muffins, fruits, yogurts, milk, juices, and coffee. The property is well-maintained inside & out. Nicely landscaped. Pool with clean towels poolside. Good amount of staff restocking breakfast buffet and cleaning premises. Felt safe. Rooms spacious and included a mini fridge and microwave. Hotel within walking distance of several restaurants and a Winn Dixie grocery store. Rooms quiet at night, beds comfortable with good amount of pillows. Only negative comments would be the tv reception was not clear and the eggs weren't the best.
"Took 5 granddaughters to DISNEY in 2006."
Took 5 granddaughters to DISNEY in 3/2006, ages 3,7,12,14 and 19. Stayed for 1 week. Had a wonderful time and loved COMFORT INN MAINGATE. Now they do not want to stay ANYWHERE ELSE. The rooms are very clean, large enough, staff very friendly and the food was great. The atmosphere is awesome. Everything you would want or need is in walking distance. Food wise or medical. You cannot find another place better for the money. I liked it so much so that I came down to DISNEY by myself in October of 2007 for my 56th birthday and stayed for 1 week at Comfort Suite. I had a ball. Guess what, we are coming back for another week. We just love this place.
"Loved this hotel"
My husband and I stayed at this hotel Nov 4-15. It was our 15th trip to Kissimmee and this hotel was the best so far. - Fast, efficient check in - Telephoned the hotel 1 month ahead to request a quiet room away from the pool - given one at the back of the hotel - # 248 - and it was just what we wanted - Room, grounds, pool immaculate - Continental breakfast far superior to any other "free" breakfast we have ever had - Tons of parking - Outback, Giordano's, Friday's, Cracker Barrel, Carrabas, and Supermarket very close by - definitely within a comfortable strolling distance - Express check out - bill in door morning of checkout - if ok, just sign, leave key cards in room and go - Bathroom huge! Room a very good size - Extensive channels available on TV - Safe (no fee), fridge, microwave in room Definitely will be our pick the next time we return. All this for $915 including taxes, for 11 nights
"Wonderful place! Close to everything."
We arrived 4 hrs prior to check in. The lady at the front desk was very nice and said if we were willing to take a 1st floor room she could accmodate us now. The room was spotless and already cooling. The room had a Microwave, refrigerator, large bathroom, luxury linens, sofa sleeper with King size room. Table and two sitting chairs, Iron and ironing board, hairdryer. Beautiful pool area-huge! A nice little tiki bar, playing tropical music. They give you bogo drink coupons on check in. The bartender was not very friendly or eager to serve. They also have a small gift shop with iceream bars, soda, items you may need and forgotten. There are towels available at in the pool area. There are tables with umbrellas but no shade trees. My husband was already sunburned and just wanted to sleep in a shady area but there was just one tiny little spot for that. They close the pool area promptly at 11 by a security guard. You can see the Disney fireworks from the second or third floor at nine pm. Continental Breakfast was okay. Well stocked with cereal, toast, bagels, juice. The only hot breakfast item was waffle irons and a bin of scambled eggs. You could easily stay here for a week. There is a Carraba's we walk to our second evening. There is also a Cracker Barrel within walking distance too along with more. It withing a little shopping plaza. Our first night we went to Capones dinner show, great value for 22$ with large buffet and free beer or wine , rum runners. Check out no problem. Overall great stay. Avoid the timeshare ticket booth in the lobby if you looking for discount disney tickets buy online before you leave.
"Great value!"
Great value and location. Close to WDW with lots of family friendly places within walking distance of the hotel. Room w/one king and a sofa was spotless and fine for two. The pool was good and the 2-for-1 drink coupons were a nice bonus.
