This is the best hotel experience we have ever experienced by far. Our room was the cleanest hotel room we have ever had. Every day housekeeping made sure that we had everything that we needed. All of the staff was always cheerful, friendly, helpful and went the extra mile to accommodate us in whatever we needed--even when it wasn't hotel related. We wish that all of our hotel experiences could be as great as this one! When we experienced a flat tire, the front desk lady recommended a wonderful place to go and then printed the directions for us to get there! Whenever we would see a staff member, (s)he would always smile and say

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

    Written Review

    "Better than you think"
Looks like the last place for a hotel, next to an Interstate, busy access road and major highway. But don't let the location put you off. Once inside the hotel the hotel was nice and quiet. Rooms as well as lobby would make you forget where you are. The good, hotel staff. I'll say it again, the staff was excellent, front desk, particularly the afternoon/evening desk clerk, Alisha I believe her name was, was a real pleasure. Everything I asked she and the manager was able to fulfill with a smile. We reserved 11 rooms for a conference and the hotel comped a meeting room for us. Can't ask for any better. We found the rooms clean and comfortable, not 5 star but you are not paying for that at this kind of hotel. Only problem the entire stay was some noisy kids down the hall, but that can happen anywhere. A few notes, the only entrance is on Hwy. 17 so a trip around the short block any time you leave. Parking can be limited so if you have a big motorhome the hotel made arrangements to park across the street. Breakfast was good and good variety, no need to go elsewhere. Easy to get to anything in Charleston but not right next to anything. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone not needing to stay in the historic district or on a budget.
    "Friendly and Busy"
These suites are small but serviceable with a sofa and chair tucked behind a partition. Clean as can be but the staff bent over with good cheer. The indoor pool warms weary muscles. When the breakfast corner overflowed, they opened up more space. They kept up handily with the appetites of their guests. The fixtures and decor were standard but the customer service will tempt me back.
"Excellent stay ... location, location, location"
We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. We will definitely stay here again. The location is convenient and it is a quick drive into Charleston. I would rate this a 4.5 (rounding up to 5) due to one of the front desk staff had an attitude and was not friendly. We found all the rest of the staff to be hospitable and friendly. The beds and pillows are super comfy and the AC kept the room temp very comfortable. There was a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. They had a safe that was easy to use to store electronics. The room was very clean. Our room had a chair and couch sofa bed and coffee table that was nice to relax in at night. Wifi is free and we had fast internet. We enjoyed the free breakfast and the complimentary coffee service and water cooler infused with lemons. The water really hit the spot after doing a lot of active touristy things around a Charleston. Parking was never any trouble. If you like Italian food, La Fontana Authentic Italian restaurant is two minutes away from the hotel. We enjoyed a great meal there.
    "Hotel"
Very up to date Hotel. Nice big very clean room with couch mini refrigerator and microwave. The hotel is in a great location. It is close to restaurants and shopping. It is a short commute to the historic part of the city where there is plenty of places to shop and eat.
    "I'd stay again"
Nice clean property close to everything you need. Love the lemon water in the lobby almost as much as the spacious room☺. Parking was rough the first night but it got better. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
    "Another Good Experience"
Clean room, friendly & helpful staff, sufficient breakfast and good experience. A couple of problems. First, TV did not work in room resulting in our having to move to another room. Comcast issues lead to no HBO. Air Conditioning fan speed not adjustable so problem in getting room totally comfortable, often either too cold or not cold enough.
    "Great hotel, friendly staff!"
We stayed here during our recent visit to Charleston and definitely recommend this hotel. We checked in around 9pm and had no issues with parking like mentioned in other reviews. Our room was great and the lady that checked us in was SOOO friendly and welcoming.
    "Great Service Great Location"
The front desk staff was extremely helpful and always had a smile on their face. Thank you Cynthia and Bonita. The housekeeping was on top of their game. Nice clean room. Great location yet much less in cost than staying Downtown. I used the a Guest Directory in my room a great deal. Nice to have recommendations right at hand.
"Visiting our son for his Birthday"
Our son recently moved to West Ashley and we wanted a hotel close by his place as we were in town to celebrate his birthday. The Comfort Suites fit the bill perfectly. Rooms were spacious and clean. King bed was comfortable. Price was excellent. Location to downtown Charleston was perfect. We actually took an Uber one night and cost was very reasonable and it included breakfast daily. Would definitely recommend staying here.
    "Very nice !"
My sister and I stayed 2 nights during our last minute trip to Charleston. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had all the nice little amenities such as fridge, microwave, coffee etc. The included breakfast was very fresh and we'll tended. At less than $90/ night, quite a value for Charleston !!
    "Nice room, great breakfast"
Nice room, good amenities , mattress needs to be replaced soon but otherwise it was a great place to stay. Roomy, great staff. Was convenient to most every place in Charleston. The breakfast was great we enjoy staying there when we visit.
    "Fun Getaway"
Great mini vacation. Had a King Suite. Room was very clean. Great breakfast every morning - besides the usual fare, there was hot oatmeal, not instant, and hot scrambled eggs and sausage every morning. Location was great. Centrally located and easy to get around.
    "Very Happy"
I was very happy with the room. It was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast was good as well. The hotel is conveniently located to everything in Charleston.
    "GREAT SERVICE AND STAFF"
Ms. Pieper, My name is Tony Mixon and I spoke with you today, at the West Ashley location, pertaining to the staff at this hotel and wanted my "COMPLIMENT" in writing to you, for your records. I checked into the hotel with the intentions of just one night, but based on the GREAT SERVICE, WONDERFUL STAFF, who have gone out of their way to make my stay a wonderful one, I booked for a second night, just to be around such courteous and pleasant people. Each person I have encountered has TRULY gone ABOVE AND BEYOND in their dailey work requirements, to make a guest feel as if they TRULY ARE AT HOME! I have had nothing but excellent service from everyone. They are genuine, true and honest in their associations with guests in this hotel.. A great BIG THANK YOU AND TRUE ACCOLADES TO: MISS PATRICE, who truly got me to check in earlier than planned, and because of her pleasant smile and professional courteous manner, I booked the second night. Miss Charlene, who always has a smile, great customer service to all who entered the lobby, and who shows true and genuine attention to all she meets,Miss Cynthia, Kitchen Supervisor, who went above and beyond to make my breakfast wonderful, Mr. Kevin, maintenance, who entered the elevator as I did, went out of his way to inquire of my stay, if all was right in my room, if he could assist/get anything for me, all with a genuine smile, and great customer service, are WHY I am glad I chose this hotel and not regretting my decision to stay another night. Miss Laura, who was most interested in my compliment two hours after checking in and showing she truly did care what a guest had to say, and Miss Bonita (apologies if name spelled incorrect) who, as front desk Manager, took time to also listen to my compliment with genuine care and concern. ACCOLADES TO THEM EACH AND ALL!! great customer service!! I WILL BE BACK!! I will be posting this to main website review as well as to Yelp and trip advisor. May you and you staff have the BEST DAY!!
    "Our first choice in Charleston"
Exceptionally nice hotel that's conveniently located off the interstate. Totally non-smoking. Good selection for breakfast but can be crowded at peak times. Clean rooms and nicely decorated. Only a short drive across the Ashley River to the historic district.
    "good for a short stay!"
My son and I stayed here on a one night trip to visit Charleston. The rooms were very clean and my son enjoyed the indoor pool, it was very clean! The breakfast was pretty good for a continental breakfast, they had fresh fruit and the coffee was delicious.
    "Rocked!"
Tamara was awesome, we came in late with a 3 year old. They don't sell milk but she got me some. Then she got some paper for me for the office printer that was out. Got the feeling that she stayed late to accommodate us. This was above and beyond. Great hotel.
"Not Sure Why You'd Stay Anywhere Else"
I recently went on a short trip to Charleston. Had never been there before and was shocked when I saw how much a hotel downtown costs. If you're looking for something more affordable, I highly recommend the Comfort Suites. It was a few miles from downtown, but an easy drive to get there (and quicker than expected). My hotel room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good (about what you'd expect). As a previous poster mentioned, they are doing some renovations (I was on the 3rd floor as well), but I wasn't bothered by it during my stay.
"Returned to Charleston to visit family, first time at this location, fantastic, my new favorite location in Charleston"
Indoor Pool, fun for the Grand Kids and Papa Jack. Lovely King Suite. Accommodated my every request, and there were plenty. Very Reasonable, and the people were wonderful, everyone I met was helpful, pleasant and sweet. The breakfast was way above average and it was located in such a way you could get coffee without having to shove anyone out of the way, the waffle machine had its own wall, there were two coffee locations, fresh scrambled eggs and real sausage links. Greek Yogurt, and regular, hard boiled eggs, grits.... Everything seemed to be run that way, and everyone was most pleasant even with the Inn filled to capacity two nights in a row. Laure Rushton was working the front desk and turns out she is Sales Manager, don't know if all the staff is management, but they all behaved like they were. Very positive experience for me. The pool was lovely and my Grands had a ball swimming with Papa Jack.
    "Inexpensive but not cheap"
I stay at this hotel every time I'm in the Charleston area, which is at least twice a month. 15 to 20 minutes drive time from College of Charleston depending on traffic. Within walking distance of several restaurants and Citadel Mall. Friendly staff. Hotel is currently undergoing renovations but construction noise and disruptions is not noticeable.
    "Everything was Perfect!"
A little impromptu family trip to Charleston and we stayed overnight at the Comfort Suites. We could not have asked for a bitter stay! Perfect room for our 2 small children (ages 2 and 4) and ourselves. The continental breakfast was perfect in the morning and had a little bit of everything to choose from. Everyone was happy and full before we left to head out for the day. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the area!
