"Nice Resort"
We were greeted with a smile and they made sure we understood where to go as they have a couple building. They answered our questions about the resort and gave us a map. The room was clean and the view was great! The beds were comfortable. They had a wonderful breakfast buffet. WiFi was good. They have renovations going on, but understandable in the winter. They have a Bar and Grill on site, Gift Shop and Tackle Shop. Very nice Pier for fishing, you have to buy a permit to fish, but discounted because of staying there. This is definitely a resort and not a hotel. We will definitely come back.
"Good price and location"
Great place to stay for beach access and close to restaurants and entertainment. They are currently renovating one building but it didn't disturb us at all. The indoor pool is very small. Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. I would stay again.

I was pleasantly surprised with my room. The views were beautiful! This resort is a bit dated, but they are doing renovations. I found this place using Groupon at a fraction of the regular price. There is an onsite mini-water park for the kiddos. I would stay here again.
"Great pit stop"
Pleasantly surprised with the room and amenities. Paid usd50 for room only, and had a large room with 2 super doubles. The ocean view at dawn was breath taking. Had a large fridge, microwave etc. The sink outside of the shower toilet is great for quick fresh up etc. A quick pit stop before heading south again. Overall,would recommend at this price.
"Nice Stay w/ a Pretty View"
Because of the number of great reviews and the low price, I thought it had to be a misprint or something HAD to be wrong but, well, I was wrong. The staff was friendly, the room was very, very nicely decorated and clean and the view was beautiful. The pier was nice, too.

We were staying here on our way to Florida. It's great family place. All hotels in Myrtle Beach look very similar (all located on the beach) but I think we were right choosing this one. Room was small but we didn't come here to watch TV. Many different pools (5 or more), nice beach - kids are happy, so we are.
"Great Stay!"
My wife and I booked a 5 night stay through Groupon. The resort is being remodeled and under construction. One building was totally demolished before we arrived. There were construction vehicles and workman there our entire stay, however they did not affect our stay in anyway! Another building was being totally remodeled! Our hotel building/area and garage were totally free of workmen and their vehicles! We did hear and sometimes feel the construction, but nothing that bothered us! Our room was on the first floor (ground floor is parking) with a nice balcony overlooking the ocean. Each morning I would open the patio door so that we could listen to the ocean waves! There was a full size refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave! The queen size beds were comfortable and the cleaning staff were very friendly! Our room was only a short distance from where we parked our car at the attached parking garage! The hotel is older but very well kept and maintained! The resort has 2 indoor and 2 outdoor pools, 2 lazy rivers and a wading pool for younger children. but only the pools in our hotel section were open! The indoor pool water temperature could have been a little warmer because of the cold weather in November! However my wife and I went swimming most of the nights during our stay! The groupon price also included a buffet breakfast that was very good. Because of the construction, breakfast was served in the first floor of the convention center (not great ambience)! There were several hot and cold breakfast selections each morning! Unfortunately the omelet cook was not there the week we stayed, but there were more than enough selections on the buffet for me! The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful! My wife and I played a game of miniature golf and walked the pier! There were several places to visit during our off season vacation! Over all we had a great stay!

Very nice place Had an ocean front room nice very large room Nice private balcony. Has full size frig. Good hot shower. They do charge I think $10 for buffet breakfast but it is great lots of fresh fruit, cereal, French toast, waffles, bacon, sausage. Easy walk to springmaid Pier.
"Fantastic Stay!!!"
This was our first stay at Springmaid Beach Resort...it will not be our last... We're booking again for this time next year!!!!! This hotel is great! Friendly clerks and housekeeping. We stayed in a suite in the Palmetto building. The room itself is huge! There are minor cosmetic things, as with any hotel, but it was clean and well stocked with your typical hotel things, soaps, toilet paper, towels, etc. There is a full size refrigerator with a freezer, which was a very nice thing, and a small microwave in the kitchenette area. Our ice maker didn't work, but that was the only thing that didn't function properly. One of my biggest complaints at most hotels is the lack of water pressure. This was NOT a problem: the water pressure was excellent. My husband and I spend every Thanksgiving on a vacation, just the two of us. We don't love crowded, so we tend to do things off season. There is a ton of stuff to do in this town in the off season!!!! This was just the best hotel. Relatively quiet. It's off the main drag, so the traffic was not an issue near the property. Parking was plentiful. The property is located near the Myrtle Beach Airport, so we got to see some planes fly over, pretty close, which we loved. The sound did not annoy though...we could barely hear them when the patio door was closed. There were pools everywhere. Some heated. The lazy river was open...a bit too chilly for my liking...but it was open. Thanks Springmaid staff! We had a great time! See you next Thanksgiving!!!!!
"Awesome fishing trip!"
This pier was amazing. The fish were really biting. My husband and his friend caught about 500 or more together! My friend and I were able to sit there for some of the time and enjoy the beautiful scenery off the pier! The time spent on this pier was great. Also we talked with some of the nicest people you ever wanted to meet!
"Overall - Perfect! Amazing area, amazing accommodation, amazing staff!."
So wonderful, amazing staff! Had an emergency in Myrtle Beach, I found a cheap accommodation on Priceline for $37/night. Because of the price I paid, and some not so good reviews, I wasn't expecting much! To my surprise, IT WAS AWESOME! A nice,VERY CLEAN ROOM overlooking the beach, very large fridge and a microwave. The parking garage was nicely arranged. This resort is nicely secluded, away from other resorts, with its own pier. Nice beach to walk on up to the awesome pier! The pier has lots of activities to do including fishing, a restaurant, a nice little shop and a tackle shop too. There is always music playing. Between the beach and the hotel building are lazy river and the indoor and outdoor pool. There is a big lawn in front of it for families to have fun, including a square to play volley ball. They also have a mini (putt-putt) golf area were you can play for free, close to the building. More amazing are the front desk staff. - Because my husband was still sick in the hospital, but will be coming out today, I had to book for another extra two nights so he could rest first before heading back home. When I told the front desk staff (Vicki and Trey) the reason my I am extending my stay, they especially went far beyond their line of duty. Check in time was 4 pm, and we were there at 10:30 am. So we have to wait til a room is cleaned. So I went back to the car to be with my husband, expecting a call from them once the room is ready. 2 min passed and I see Trey walking to the parking lot, to tell me the room is ready. Instead of just calling me on the phone. He told me to just give him a few min to process my check in, and prepare key cards. He walked back to the parking lot to hand me my key card, met my husband and wished him well. Now that's customer service to the max! And did I say, they put us on the top floor with a nice balcony and stunning views?! So this hotel is not only a comfortable, fun away from home accommodation, but the staff are very caring to its full meaning. Amazing!!!
"Awesome late October weekend"
Booked very cheap through Hotwire for a late October weekend. The Springmaid is at the south end of Ocean Blvd., which gives it a feel that it is away from all the high rise resorts along the shore, and sort of secluded. It is right beside Myrtle Beach State Park, and across the street from the Market Commons, which altogether makes its location fantastic. We had an oceanfront room, which had refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, microwave etc. Beds were very comfortable, couldn't have asked for much more from the room & view. Just a beautiful area of the beach, the chance to walk out on the pier which is connected to the resort, and a quality room make the Springmaid a place that we will be returning to!
"Perfect Island Getaway"
The Springmaid Resort feels like you are on your own personal island. You can walk to the beach, the restaurant, or to the pools--everything feels so close and private and Beautifu views right from your bedroom and balcony. The rooms are great, clean and maintained. Very accommodating. I had an issue with one of the other guests smoking in the room above--which I wish the front desk did something about when I called. This is more of an adult atmosphere, as there are very few children--which is absolutely great when you are looking for a quiet getaway. We stay there every year in different buildings ( I believe there are only two now ) but we have never been disappointed. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing getaway.
"A nice surprise"
Got into town a day early for a three night stay elsewhere. This place was a great value for the ocean view but was a little tough to maneuver for my scooter. There was a rollin shower which was great but the bed was high. The room was generally clean but rather worn. Large family size refrigerator but small microwave. Restaurants on premises but limited menus. Fishing pier nice and mini golf course good.

Great room and lived the fact that it was pet friendly. Very clean and great place to stay!!!! I will definitely go back to this resort. It has all you need right there in one central location. We loved it.
"Best Room ever"
Been going to myrtle beach on and off for 50 years. This time we hit the jackpot. Springmaid is remodeling and we were given a newly updated room (612). It was great and the employees were as good as any we have encountered. I certainly recommend this resort. Also I selected Springmaid because of a recommendation on Trip Adivisor
"Great Anniversary Trip"
I booked this resort through Groupon. I must say, it was more than I expected. After reading some of the reviews that were left on TripAdvisor, I was quite nervous. Our room was very nice, however, there were a few stains of the carpet by the vanity. The front desk people were great as well. Our bath tub had a draining problem on the first night, but within 10 mins everything was working fine. There was nothing they wouldn't do to make sure our stay was any better. House keeping was great with bring additional items up to our room. I also like that this resort has it's own pier, and mini golf course. The views of the ocean were perfect, was able to watch the sunrise from my balcony. It was over all a great place to stay. I would recommend this resort.

Well, we were very pleased with the property, nicely landscaped, clean. We were supposed to stay in the older 3 story building and we planned to ask for an upgrade upon check in, however we found they had taken down the older building the previous week and we had already been upgraded automatically to the Palmetto building. The room was beautiful, looks just like the picture on their website. Private balcony overlooking the pool area with the ocean beyond. Loved the full size fridge with icemaker, great water pressure in the shower, access to the fishing pier, and walk right out onto the beach. We didn't have a chance to play the putt putt golf there, we were too busy enjoying the sunshine on the beach, but it is free to guests. They also have a special beach wheelchair available, and a lift for the indoor pool for disabled access. Michelle checked us in late night upon arrival, and Trey checked us out upon departure, both were very friendly and helpful. I say don't believe every negative review you see. Our experience was awesome. Try it and make up your own mind. We are glad we did!

"Great for handicapp"
We stayed in an Ocean view handicapped room. The facilities were great and roomy. My dad almost did a wheelie he was so excited about being able to maneuver around the room. The windows looked down on the small lazy river and the beach further out. Got wrist bands to go on the fishing pier (bring your own equipment - the rental is about $21 or so a day).
