My husband booked a 7-day all inclusive king room package at Barceló Maya Beach and Caribe in the Riviera Maya through United Vacations. This was for our Christmas holiday celebration and for my birthday. He also booked a shuttle round trip to and from the Cancun International Airport. The hospitality, ambiance, decor, various bird and and animal sightings, landscaping and food options were simply great. The options included elegant dining where closed toed shoes and long pants for men, beach dresses for women to casual beach snack bars. There were many beach and pool chaise lounges throughout the resort so we never felt like it was overcrowded in any area. The gym was excellent, and I tried out the Zumba class while my husband worked out in the weight room. Very aerobic and fast-paced. What a great workout. Next door was a spa which offered many packages including massages and facials. The activities were great including: scuba diving certification, snorkeling rentals, Dolfinarium Experience (I signed up for an hour-long swim with Dolphins there at the resort through Amstardmc.com.) Well worth the price. I also took the daily noon aerobic class at the pool near Captain Morgan's grill which was excellent. There is a sports bar, bowling alley, mini golf, sorf ride tequila bar, numerous bars at all the pool areas, adult pools, and many gracious waitresses and waiters serving drinks, food and towels. There were lots of activities for the kids, and the resort is a very family-friendly place. On site, there are numerous companies offering all kinds of excursions outside the resort. It's a perfect place for large groups, families, and couples. I would highly recommend this resort and hope to return again in the future.

"Awesome"
This was an Awesome place to visit. It?s three resorts together, with the use of all three resorts. It has a long long beach for walks. It?s a beautiful spot with lots of places to go, lots of shopping, lots of pools, places for the kids , lots of things for kids to do. The rooms were exceedingly clean. My only complaint would be that there was no free Wi-Fi.

Another great visit to Barcelo!!! We enjoy the environment very much - great for families and couples. We like the quieter pool at the Maya Beach pool - it also has a great waitress Irene Sanchez who definitely adds you the enjoyment of the day - thanks Irene !!!! Looking forward to our next visit !!
"Barcello Resort "CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK""
The service and staff were competent, kind, efficient, and caring. Our room was clean, spacious, quiet and the air conditioner worked great. The resort's grounds were always clean the beach was huge the water warm and the seaweed was always removed promptly. A special thank you to my catamaran instructor Francisco as we sailed and kayaked free daily. The food was excellent as well as the bar service. If you plan on attending the Riviera Maya get a full mask snorkel the aquatic life you will encounter is unforgettable. All in all, I would recommend the Barcello resort to anyone and we can't wait to get back.

I would highly recommend this resort! The beach is beautiful and the pools were amazing with lots of swim up bars! We never had to put towels down on the chairs. We always enough space and options to chose from when laying out in the sun. We enjoyed every minute. Great entertainment and the food was excellent. Especially the Tokyo a la carte! We will definitely be coming back!! Meet people that have been returning for 5-10 years. Only recommendation would maybe be an upgrade to some of the rooms. We were only in them to sleep so it was perfect for us. We were located away from the main areas so it was quiet. Right on the beach we got to snorkel with sea turtles! This was a huge highlight and included in the all inclusive. :)
