I have been all over the world and by far this resort was the best overall experience. We just got home from a 5 day 4 night trip with a group of friends. Definitely viist the Japanese restauran it is the best of them all! The Italian is also really good! I cannot say enough about the people of the DR. The pool bar, Pablo was the best all week! Already planning trip back!

"amazing, going back next year!"
stayed for 12 days early January, after a bad start with no cases for 4 days( no fault of now larimar) felt like we were in paradise! don't have one bad thing to say about this place. Previous reviews talked about a damp smell in the rooms and not receiving robes etc but our room was great no smells, got bath robes slippers plenty towels and mini bar restocked every day, maid service spot on, Rosa who did turn down service every night was great! Gabriella who was one of the concierges was brilliant, really tried to sort out our luggage situation, always ready to help. The beaches are absolutely beautiful and we didn't feel like you were pestered with sales pitches, ok you got a few people every now and again but not a hassle. Entertainment team great, lots on during the day if you wanted to participate or you could just chill if you wanted, your choice! Didn't have problem with upset stomachs at all thought all the food was great, only one we didn't get to was the Italian all others were great! Castaways for breakfast was great Henri the chef was fab! the staff really were amazing shame I cant remember all of their names but other ones that stood out were , preferred beach and pool Milvio, Mercedes and Daniella were brilliant, basically your glass was NEVER empty and they always had a smile and a bit of banter, lovely people, Richard in castaways and buffet and Anthony as well to be honest never came across any member of staff who wasn't good at their job. When I read negative reviews I really don't know what people could moan about, already saving to go back next year, if your thinking of booking up really go ahead and do it, you wont regret it the place really is paradise. Enjoy
"Beautiful and great staff"
We had a blast. The property is very large and requires quite a bit of walking but with beauty around no one minds. The staff is super nice and very accommodating. We had a couple of meals prepared by Chef Omar and they were OUTSTANDING. The rest of the food was very American/European, and needed salt and pepper. But overall it was a lot of fun and we would return.

Is an amazing hotel. The rooms are nice, clean. The food was very good and a lot. The personal amiable and they make you feel special The entertainment team is the best. You have a great time there and they do a lot of activities. I love them.

Wow...beautiful, new resort...great food, great drinks...name brands...super entertainment staff...lot's of fun and energy. Can't beat Bavaro Beach. Plenty of pools, great service. Enjoyed the restaurants without the need to make reservations. Absolutely everything about Punta Cana Luxury Resort is outstanding. This was a sixth time in the Caribbean, fourth time in Punta Cana...always good...this vacation and resort was great.
"Wonderful time"
This hotel was very nice. Food was good especially the buffet . Grounds clean and well manicured. Rooms clean and room service was excellent. The staff very friendly we felt like they were our best friends. They always greeted you and were very helpful. The entertainment was always good. Amazing dancers and performers. I will absolutely return in the future.

We had an amazing time, the food was excellent, the service was excellent. The beach was beautiful, relaxing and very clean. There was always amazing entertainment. The employees were always there willing and able to help you. I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone. I recommend Castaways (only for preferred members), Barefoot Grill (THE BEST!!!) The food came right off the grill, Carnival Buffet was also fantastic, Mexican Theme Night was our favorite!!! Our favorite employee was Efron, he was always so happy and friendly as every other employee was! We miss it already!
"Beautiful wedding"
We just returned from a week stay at the Punta Cana Luxury Resort. Our daughter was married on the beach. We traveled with 37 family and friends and all would agree that it was an awesome week! Luisa did an excellent job taking care of all of the wedding details. Mozart Jackson was so kind and greeted us every time he saw us. Winston made sure we had everything we needed when we were in the buffet. Last but certainly not least, Sexy Belly became one of our family! He always looked out for us and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was very good and we always had something to drink. Definitely will stay at another Now resort!
"30 Something Friends Trip"
I recently traveled here with 3 friends, and we all stayed in the same room. We had a deluxe room with 2 beds. The bathroom was great because of the privacy doors for the shower and toilet area so we never had a problem sharing the room. Maid service came twice a day cleaning the room and providing a flyer for the following days schedule and activities. The mini bar included soda and beers.no premium liquors. Its stocked daily if you use something and its all free. The Pools: They were a little too cold for my taste There are 2 and not connected.which was a bit of a bummer. The first one is connected to the Swim up Bar and the second is just a concrete pathway away but thats where the Pool Volleyball is. So its unfortunate that you can't swim in-between both pools however there is a very good wait staff that is always making the rounds so your mouth never gets too dry ;) The Beach: Is beautiful! Music/Entertainment/Volleyball/Bar and the View and Water is exactly what you expect of a post card The Food: Pool side Restaurant- same food daily Burgers/chicken/fries/rice/hotdogs Buffet: Amazing selection.changes daily.Great food Room Service: Recommended to try..and its free 4 On site Restaurants: Mexican/American/French/Japanese.. all great! We enjoyed the American the most! Not only the food but the staff was very humorous and personal! Off Site Restaurant: Italian.Good food, delayed service. Take a free golf cart to the restaurant The Entertainment: Phenominal!!! Excellente! Overall we were very pleased with our trip.It was well deserved and worth it!
"Wedding Venue"
We just went to Punta Cana Luxury Resort with a group of 35 for a family wedding. The food and service at the hotel were exceptional. The staff remembered you from day to day and made a point to speak to you, and offered to help you with anything you needed. Luisa was the wedding planner we worked with and she was very organized and we had nothing to deal with ourselves. They took excellent care of everything. I would recommend that the bride and groom book into the Preferred Club because if you have enough wedding guests they give you a free upgrade. But from any level you book a room, they were excellent. The beach was outstanding and you could walk a long way in each direction. We did most of the excursions, and a couple were a disappointment but others were exceptional. We took all the wedding guests out for a sunset snorkling cruise with Amstar and had a wonderful time. The Zip Line adventure was great. The only bad one was the dune buggy excursion. No saving of chairs with towel, so you could always find a great spot at the pool. Sexy Belly was one of the fun beach/pool area staff members, and Efrain was our great butler!
"Awesome Christmas and New Year vacation!"
First time celebrating Christmas and New Year out of home. Lovely and pleasant hotel, nice rooms with lovely views of the beach, service minded and accommodating staff, high class meals (especially in the buffet restaurant). Daily activities for all ages - if you wish, peace and quiet - if you want that, fine golf courses nearby, high-class entertainment in the evenings. The whole family are very pleased and got a different, fun and memorable Christmas and New Year. Many Thanks to all the amazing staff.
"Family Vacation"
Spent the Christmas holiday here with family. Everyone had a great time. We stayed in the newer section and enjoyed the low-key atmosphere. The low-key part of this section was nice with small kids - pool was small, and there was always space at the bar, etc. Food was good. We had young kids with us and they loved the pools and the beach. My oldest participated in the kids club a few times and the women there were always inviting and welcoming to her. Service was great, everyone was welcoming and friendly. One thing I did not like was in the newer sections, the rooms were small with little or no storage. The bathtub was outside on the patio - not good for trying to give your kids a bath. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend it to others.

FIVE STARS! EXCELLENT SERVICE, EXCELLENT TIME! There is not one thing about the Punta Cana Luxury Resort that was bad.....perfect trip, David and Johnny from the carnival cafe need a raise! They made each and ever meal extremely enjoyable and entertaining! Very nice individuals! Stayed in garden view, a lot more quiet then the main resort. Will return again! Will recommend to others!
"Best vacation I ever had.. you will agree!"
This was my first all inclusive experience and I would never take a cruise again! I have recommended to everyone I know to please take it upon themselves to visit Punta Cana and live a dream that you onced always dreamed of having. We are planning another trip next year and looking forward to our next vacation. This was best experience I have had and food, the food, the food.... it was out of this world! I will NEVER regret a single day I spent away from the states on this dream that became reality!
"WOW! AMAZING!"
Now i'm not one to write reviews however, I feel that the Punta Cana Luxury Resort deserves some recognition! I stayed there January 11 to January 18 2014 in the Preferred section. Beautiful resort well taken care of! The staff and service was nothing short of amazing. While there I was asked by a member of their management team if there was anything they can change of improve on and I could literally think of nothing. The attention and care that the staff give their guests is amazing!! Although every staff member I dealt with there were amazing, there are a few that I got to know well during my week there that I feel the need to thank on here once again personally. Henry, Juanito and Elvis from the preferred club restaurant castaways who always insured out breakfast and lunch were nothing but perfect. Junior and Daniella from the Preferred club pool bar who always greeted us with a smile and amazing service!! and last but not least the famous Antonio Bandaras who was always full of energy and made sure that our trips to the beach were nothing but amazing! he was always there to serve us fresh drinks and good laughs! To keep this short I would like to thank the staff at the Punta Cana for making this trip unforgettable and amazing! Keep up the great work!! I will be sure to visit this resort again and recommend it to everyone I know!!
"Great service, beautiful place"
You will NOT regret booking this resort! Our room was spotless, and the service was top notch all week. The service is phenomenal; all the waiters seem genuinely interested in your needs, and there was *never* a push for tips, not even in the slightest. There are several beautiful pools, and there was always room when we were there. Delicious food and strong drinks. Never had to wait more than a few minutes to get into a restaurant, and the dress codes were not too fancy. The Italian place and sushi place were our favorites. This was my first all-inclusive experience, and I just don't know how I'll beat it!
"What a wonderful vacation"
Our family had a great time-- I really hate to give names of the workers because ALL of them were excellent!! Thank you Modesto - bringing me a "pot" of tea- Rosa- keeping our room clean and stocked- there was Eddy- Jackson- and so many more- My son-in-law who was with us was very impressed with the Italian rest- he knows about Italian food-- he makes his own pasta.Also pizzas in his wood oven he built . So easy to get beach towels--no cards to show-- just give your room no-- and you get towels-- after hours-- just return them and in the morning get new ones--just tell the grl that you brought the other towels back and that is all!! the grounds were perfect- and the beach awesome- thank you for an enjoyable vac.
"best all around"
I have been to many all inclusive resorts and this one is the best all around. The grounds are well cared for and is a good size for getting around. Spent a lot of time on the beach as the sand and water are great and we weren't hounded by people selling things even walking down the beach. Almost all the staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and good repair. Food is usually what I am most disappointed with, but this was really good, especially the Italian restaurant.
"Amazing Vacation all around!!"
If you are looking for hotels to consider for your Punta Cana vacation, STAY AT Punta Cana Luxury Resort!! This is an amazing resort, we just returned from a one week vacation and wish we could have stayed longer. We have stayed in several 4+, 5 star hotels in Punta Cana, and this one by far surpasses them all. Food The food is amazing in all of the restaurants! The buffets have a large variety of food, so there's something for everyone! Beach BBQ is amazing, BBQ chicken, burgers, steaks, etc. all available throughout the day for those who don't feel like dining indoors. Excellent service for drinks in all of the restaurants, they are constantly at your service to top up drinks or take finished plates away. Entertainment The entertainment at this resort is top notch! The staff are friendly, speak great English among other languages, and have activities for those who chose to participate throughout the day. We are particularly fond of JC! He was amazing with our kids, inviting them to participate in games, sports, and the shows! I was shocked to see how many guests JC knew at the hotel. He was kind, courteous, and always in a happy mood, showing the love he has for his job. The entire entertainment team was amazing with all of the hotel guests. They were very respectful, not like at some hotels where they bug and bug you while your at the pool or beach. If you are interested in participating, there were many activities to partake in, if not you could just rest or sleep on a beach chair all day and nobody bothered you. It was obvious that the entertainment group has exceptional training, this crew made our vacation most memorable. We are going back..... EXCELLENTE for JC!! Rooms were in great condition, great beds, clean, absolutely not complaints. Beach and pools, there are plenty of beach chairs, no need to wake up early and 'claim' your spot!! Drink service was amazing at all of the bars, pool and beach! This resort is a must, book it and you will have no regrets!! We are going back for sure!! Miss it already!!
"Great resort! Highly recommended!"
From the moment we arrived on the resort, the staff made us feel like we 'came home.' Our room was stunning, safe and clean, the house keeping staff was very kind. The waiters in each of the restaurants were awesome, and they made us feel special each and every meal. The beach and pools were pristine, and the drink service was great! Punta Cana Luxury Resort is a great resort and my wife and I will be returning as soon as we can!
"RETURN VACATION ANOTHER WINNER"
We had the Punta Cana Luxury Resort in Punta Cana for 10 days in January 2014. Our initial visit to this property was in January 2013. Once again we enjoyed the beautiful grounds and the many wonderful amenities which the hotel provided. We were again especially pleased to be able to enjoy the fantastic hospitality shown by all the staff members that we had the occasion to meet. There were a number of staff who we would like to remember as they made our vacation so enjoyable and so memorable, namelt. Johnaysa (Conceige), Yomangel (International Caf),Winston (International Caf), Miguel Martina (International Caf), Junior (Spice Restaurant), Antonio Bandoras (Beach Bar) and Isabelle (Spanish Lessons/Painting Class). We only wish that we could have remembered all the others who so graciously helped make our vacation so much fun. It would be our intention to make another return vacation in 2015 to again enjoy all there is at this wonderful property.
"The Right Management Makes All The Difference"
It is absolutely apparent that AM Resorts found the right Management persons for this awesome hotel. A big "Thank You and Job Well Done" to Angel Holgado, who does everything possible to make your stay the BEST. We just returned from 8 glorious days at this resort and I could not have asked for a better vacation. There was a group of 14 of us, ranging in age from 2-60 all from NJ. We stayed in room 2203 and were preferred.... the room was comfortable, cleaned daily, (thank you waikia, i think that was her name...awesome job) just the right size and had plenty of storage area for all our belongings. The bathroom was great with a large vanity area, separate water closet and ample size shower. There was also a sitting area with couch and table. We had a crib in our room and still had plenty of room! Check in was smooth, the food was good. We ate at Carnival Buffet, Castaways, the beach grill, the Italian, and the Hibatchi, always a good meal and no stomach issues. We spent everyday at the pool, thank you Rosa, Antonio and Martinez they were all very efficient and friendly and FUN! We didn't really participate in too many activities but there were plenty. The foam in the pool was a lot of fun. I would like to thank Jose in the Carnival Buffet for going out of his was to make my grandson feel special. He danced with him, took him to the dessert area to get him cookies and would always high 5 or fist bump him....great job! I am sure I am forgetting something, but rest assured that I would definitely recommend this resort, so if you are booked to go here, rest easy you will have a great time. We will definitely be back again!
