"A Pleasant Surprise!"
We stayed at this hotel with a group of high school students for a robotics competition. Although the location is in an area that never developed as planned, the hotel was awesome and the staff did everything to make our stay more pleasant. They even provided breakfast a half hour earlier on Saturday so our students would have it before heading to competition. The social hour was very nice. The rooms were large - a suite and very clean. The breakfast was superb! Besides the hotel being terrific, the staff was outstanding - efficient and friendly.
"Family trip March 2014"
Stayed at Sonesta suites for March break family trip. The suites were fantastic with small fully equipped kitchen. Basketball court and swimming pool well used by the kids. Grounds and rooms very clean. Pet friendly with small grassy area to walk them with garbage and poop bags provided. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast included with a great variety of hot and cold items - delicious. the evening socials also great. All day available coffee, teas and hot chocolate.. Just a really great family and pet friendly place to stay at Myrtle Beach. Would definitely visit again.
"This place was great!"
We visited here with a group a few weeks ago. The hotel is booked by the school, so we always approach their selections with some trepidation, as cost is usually the determining factor...... What a wonderful surprise. We had a large efficiency apt. on the third floor, other mentors had full blown suites. Our room was spotless, bed and pillows were comfortable and assured a pleasant nights sleep. But the best part of this hotel was the outstanding staff. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful, even directing us to an out of the way seafood place that was the highlight of my gustatory adventures! The woman at the front desk helped me get online when I was baffled at their free wifi system. The breakfast was outstanding, as was their evening reception/lite meal. The last morning we were there, the wonderful breakfast attendant opened early so our team could get to the center on time. We'll stay here again when in MB.
"clean comfortable and a great value"
We were attending a concert in Myrtle Beach and decided it was to far to drive home afterwards so we looked for a reasonably priced hotel to spend the night. The Sonesta was priced right and we were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of our suite. The bed was great and breakfast in the morning was delicious. We will probably stay here again if we are going to spend an overnight in Myrtle Beach.
"A blessing of a home for a two month stay"
I stayed here for nine weeks throughout the summer (June to the beginning of August) and it was an incredible place to call home. The service was incredible and the staff was so courteous and helpful, and it was so fun meeting the different families and groups that came through. The pool was fun, the basketball court was great, and the pond out back was really relaxing to go sit by. Overall it was an incredible stay.
"It was great!!!"
They treated us Great!! Also very clean and the buffet was delicious. We got there early in the morning after a 10 hr. drive, to see our granddaughter for her birthday. They even gave us our room early. A person just couldn't ask for a better place to stay.
"Well needed rest!!!!"
I was on my anniversary getting some time away and well needed rest. The room was very clean and front desk was helpful and polite. They have a breakfast buffet and it was awesome better than I plan on returning with my children and making it a family weekend getaway. The bed was very comfortable and soft. I am very happy with this hotel and will return again. I did not have room serve because I was there on the weekend and housekeeping does not work on Sunday's but everything I needed was provide from the front desk staff with no problem.
"Wow, what a pleasant surprise"
Needed a place that would take our dog, this was the best priced location in Myrtle Beach. But were we ever surprised with the facilities. Neat, clean, quiet and plenty of room in the 2 BR suite. Staff were great. They have everything you need for children and pets if you're there in the warmer months. I'll be back.
"Great stay"
We stayed at Sonesta ES in Myrtle Beach for over one month. It was a very pleasant experience. The staff was the difference. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly. I felt comfortable. As difficult as it is to stay in a hotel for a long stay, Sonesta made it easier!! In addition, it is pet friendly and my dog enjoyed it too!!
"Will definitely return!!"
We planned a weekend in Myrtle Beach/Conway to visit our son in college. We've stayed in other surrounding hotels in the past, but they can get quite expensive. This place was fantastic!! The grounds were very attractive w/ a pool & small hot tub & basketball court (which we did not have time to use). I booked a king room w/ a pullout couch for $89. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite for the same price. (We've paid almost double at other hotels for half the space -- never again). The kitchenette was nice to have. Room included shampoo, cond, lotion, soap, dishwashing soap, dishes, glasses, pots/pans, etc. The breakfast looked good, although we didn't eat there. The common eating/tv area was nicely decorated & had high ceilings. And there was a business center & small lending library. We will definitely return.
"great value"
We stayed at this hotel for one night. A two room, two bathroom suite was excellent value. The king bed in our room was very comfortable. Our friend had a queen bed that was also comfy. The whole place was very clean, and my favourite part - big fluffy thick towels. The breakfast buffet included fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cheese omelet, a variety of cereals and breads, among other things. I would definitely stay here again.
"Hidden Gem"
We stayed at this hotel at the end of September and it was a great experience! You would never know this hotel allowed dogs. The place was immaculately clean! We normally don't take my dog on vacation and at the last minute we had to bring him. The hotel was very accommodating and the staff treated him like he was a VIP guest. There is a dog park at the back of the hotel which provided poop bags and space to walk him. Everyday the hotel provided breakfast and it was amazing. The chefs were some of the nicest people you will ever meet! Also, Tuesdays through Thursdays they offered appetizers, which were a nice snack and very filling. I saved so much money on this trip due to the meals and because each room had a full kitchen. The pool and jacuzzi were my favorites, but I also enjoyed their basketball court and cornhole. Yes this place was about 10 minutes from the beach, but the price was well worth it. I saved so much staying here and it was convenient to the highways. It took less than 10 minutes to get to anywhere we wanted to go. This hotel is a must! I will be visiting their properties on all of my vacations!
"Great price very close to airport, and about 10-15 min. From downtown myrtle"
This hotel came with an escape package from porter air. The price was excellent and the public areas of the hotel are well appointed. BreakFasts are included and are excellent. What is not advertised is that on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday nights for about 2 1/2 hours they have free beer wine and really good and filling food like soups cabbage rolls deserts etc.this is an amazing bonus!!!! Detractors are 2fold since these are suites you only get minimum cleaning service for your stay (unless there longer than 1 week and it is located next to a derelict mall and amusement park
"Has everything you need for a pleasant stay"
My companion and I were here for a concert at the Convention Center and stayed two nights. I reserved this hotel based on the great reviews it had. I had never heard of this particular hotel chain before. Location was in a somewhat deserted area, but that was okay because it was quiet, very easy to get to and only 10 minutes from the Convention Center. Friendly and helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere, extremely clean, spacious room layout (we had a single queen room), lots of big fluffy towels, complete kitchen with all necessities, good cold a/c, comfy bed, free breakfast, free use of the washers and dryers in the laundry room, plenty of parking and if you wish to bring your fur baby with you, it is welcome here! Even though it's a pet friendly hotel, you wouldn't know it by staying in the room...no doggy or kitty odors at all and the carpet was spotless. Because of our schedule, we didn't have a chance to explore the hotel grounds. It is a home away from home. We will definitely return again!
"Nine weeks of great memories at Sonesta Suites"
I stayed at Sonesta Suites for nine weeks with 48 other college students and some adult leaders and pastors. Not only did the staff accept our group of crazy college kids, but they provided for our every need. Sonesta feels like a second home and the suites are an amazing place to stay because they are spacious, have every amenity needed, and have added bonuses like a jacuzzi, pool, grill, exercise room, hotel store, spacious and clean lobby, plus free food provided not only for breakfast each day, but also during some nights of the week. Not only did this help cut costs (which is great not only for college students but families) but the food also tasted great and was prepared and served by kind staff members. Sonesta is also the perfect location to be close to the boulevard and beach at Myrtle while also coming back to sleep on a quieter side of town. There is plenty of parking plus its location is right behind Medieval Times and beside the relaxing river. We loved staying at Myrtle beach because it became our group's home, where we could come back and the staff would remember us and say hello, we could crash on the comfy beds after work, and where the communal living spaces provided the perfect places to share great memories during the summer. If I go back to Myrtle Beach in the future, I would easily go back to Sonesta Suites.
"Great Place"
My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast and service was great! When we return we be staying @ Sonesta again! There is nothing I would change, I love the location and the easy of getting off 501 and on. It is a jewel tuck away from the madness of MB.
"Pet Friendly"
We searched for a pet friendly hotel and found this for an excellent price considering it was a one bedroom with a kitchenette and small living room. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was nice and the tables outside were great for morning breakfasts or an afternoon picnic. Their breakfast was nicer than most continental breakfasts and even though it was not close to the beach, we would definitely stay here again.
"Great place to stay!!...for families & pets."
Sonesta Suites was a great place to stay for our family and pets. The rooms are very spacious. The rooms have a great layout - we stayed in a 2 bedroom - rooms across from each other with there own bathrooms. We loved the fact that they offer breakfast in the morning and the 12 pm check out. Its 10 mins away from the beach.
"Great for families"
We got a suite with king in one and queen in the other. This layout was great for us - kids were across the hall with their own bedroom and bathroom. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The area is close to the beach and not very far from Broadway at the Beach, which is where the kids wanted to spend their time so it worked great for us. Beds were clean and comfortable. When they needed help connecting the Xbox, someone came right down and helped.
"Best Kept Secret!"
This was our first time staying in Sonesta ES Suites. In fact, we had never heard of this particular hotel. We stayed here for 4 days & 3 nights. Our stay was for a time share presentation at one of the resorts nearby. This was one of the best hotels to stay in. It was a spacious 2 room suite with a full kitchen. Service was great with the best hot breakfast & also an evening manager's meal. Our cost was $199 for the entire time we spent there. Location is only about 15 min. from beach & very close to many sites & shopping malls. Would definitely stay here again!
"Won't be disappointed"
Spent a night here after we spent a night at a hotel next to the beach. In comparison this is a total upgrade. We had a room with a king size bed. It is spacious, has a kitchen, a closet with shelving, living a room separated from the bedroom. Have TV in both rooms with door to have a little privacy. We didn't even check out other amenities but we can see it has a gym, tennis court. The room is clean. Breakfast is much better than your typical Best Western hotel breakfast...a lot more choices. I could see myself taking my family to this place. It would accommodate and fit well for leisure travel as well as business. It is not right at the beach, but if you have a car, it's just minutes away. Overall, this meets all my expectation.
"Great hotel! About 10 minutes from beach"
This hotel is not on the beach but it is great. I was able to use "hotel tonight" app. and we got a great deal. This hotel is Very clean. It comes with a full kitchen. Our room had a homey feeling to it. This hotel is a great get away for couples; not to mention great prices for the quality of the room!! They also serve breakfast in the am
"Family Reunion"
The hotel was excellent, the rooms were spacious and very clean. The breakfast was excellent, the best grits and Marty the breakfast attendant was great he keep every thing well stock. Will be back to stay again.
"Pleasant Surprise and several amenities"
This hotel had a lot. It had a pool, basketball court, gym (some of the equipment is older), Jacuzzi, washer and dryer, free morning breakfast, and weeknight afternoon meals as well. It is truly a great place to have a family reunion. I myself was there with my husband and we were looking for a pretty good priced hotel that was close to everything but not very pricey. This was a great spot. Because it is a suite, there was a kitchen area, dishwasher, and full fridge. The TVs were older televisions and my only complaint is that the VCR/DVD combo did not work. Otherwise, the rooms were roomy and clean. I made us of the gym and basketball court. The beds were somewhat comfy, but nothing to write home about. It was located about 15 minutes from the beach which was where we spent most of our time. Interestingly, it seemed as though the hotel was located in a area that just did not make it...closed malls and a closed theme park on the same street. Interesting!! Hope the hotel makes it.
"OMG, this hotel is amazing!"
I was very pleased from the moment we received our room key. We had the reservations already booked prior to getting here so when we walked in, with no problems, we were greeted very kindly and got our room key and off we went. I have NEVER been treated so nice in my first day at a hotel desk. Then, you are allowed to bring your pets here, you can't even tell cause this place is so clean I was extremely shocked. I can go on and on about how this hotel is, but you'd have to come and see for yourself. I am in Awwww!
