Tahoe Seasons Resort is at the base of Heavenly so it would be a perfect spot for skiers in the winter. However, we stayed there in August and we were still thrilled with the location. It is about a mile outside of town so it's walking distance. The rooms were a pleasant surprise. They have really updated them since the website pictures were taken. They were nice and clean. The big jacuzzi is very relaxing. I would for sure stay there again. There are hiking trails right outside the hotel and a bar and breakfast restaurant in the hotel if you don't want to go far.

We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

"Quiet and Comfortable"
Tahoe Seasons Resort is at the base of Heavenly so it would be a perfect spot for skiers in the winter. However, we stayed there in August and we were still thrilled with the location. It is about a mile outside of town so it's walking distance. However, the walk back would be all up hill. The rooms were a pleasant surprise. They have really updated them since the website pictures were taken. They were nice and clean. The big jacuzzi in the middle is a little awkward to get into but not a big deal. We had the one bedroom and there was just two of us so it worked out perfectly. Make sure to bring your own utensils and plates if you plan on eating at the room. They don't supply those. I would for sure stay there again. There are hiking trails right outside the hotel and a bar and breakfast restaurant in the hotel if you don't want to go far.
"Clean rooms very good staff,.Walk to town 1 mile downhill."
We were greeted by friendly valet and front desk. Orientation Monday morning was very informative. Rooms clean however need some hooks near front door to hang hats or backpacks. No shuttle to town 1 mile downhill so either had to take car or walk. Possibly would be nice to have shuttle between sister properties. Checkout was easy.
"Comfy and off the beaten path"
I picked this place because it had a jacozie tub; it was the biggest jacozie tub I'd ever seen. The carpet and wallpaper were a little dated and the rooms were award shaped, but I have already recommended it to friends. The staff was nice and the concierge offered many great places to us!
"Nice place to stay."
Stayed here for a week on vacation. I liked the location, away from the main street through South Lake Tahoe, but not far from everything. The room itself was good, with a living area and separate bedroom. Would have been nice to have some dishes since we ate in the room several times. We ate at the breakfast restaurant once, and it was pretty good. Didn't spend too much time at the hotel outside of the rooms. The walls were a little bit thin and we could here kids being loud two doors down, but it wasn't so bad that it kept us up or woke us up. I'd probably go back if I went back to Tahoe.
"Quiet, Elegant and Great Service"
We decided to go to Tahoe on a whim. We found a room at the Tahoe Seasons. We usually go as owners for the Summer. This is the first as a Spring/Shoulder season booking. We were surprised there was an opening. The valet was fast and friendly. The front desk was quick. We were given a Sixth Floor room. It was quiet and comfortable. We usually are on the Seventh or Eighth floors which are quieter. The service was quick. The Front desk responded to our requests for more pillows and Kleenex. Everyone was polite. We love, love Cory the Concierge. He recommended the new upscale restaurant at The Landing, Jimmy's. We had a fabulous time with fantastic, subtle nuanced Greek Food. The service was warm and so personal. I thought we could not have a better birthday celebration for our friend. Thank you for being a personal, and service-oriented hotel. We felt like everyone knew us and did not think we were just people passing through, Our friends did Spring skiing at Heavenly and ventured to Mt. Rose. They found powder there this California drought season. Everyone had a great time. The location was key to use to explore West Lake Tahoe or Mt. Rose. Heavenly, of course, was next door and convenient to go to the Stateline Gondola.
"Great concierge!"
Great place. I wanted to comment on the concierge. I spoke to Cory and he recommended a place for dinner, Jimmy's, He said it was a great place and he was right. I have been coming up here for years and this was the best place i ever ate at up here. If you come to Tahoe seasons resort , check in with Cory. He will steer you right!
"Great location for mountain access."
We stay here annually because of the resorts location to the ski lift. The guys just walk across a small crossroads intersection and a small bit of parking lot to get on the gondola. They love it! The rooms are getting dated again, despite some updates that were done in recent years. I do hate the bedspreads the most-----I just imagine all the germs---really wish they would go to double sheeted beds instead. I noted a comment by another reviewer who was wanting plates and soap b/c there is a mini kitchen. However, I think a packet of paper plates, plastic wear, & napkins available for purchase would be more practical. Other than the microwave and coffee pot, there is no real cooking anyway. But we love the practicality of the microwave for hot lunch coming off the mountain from skiing---able to pop in a ready-made bowl of soup and make a sandwich----economical, easy, quick, & good. I like to take baths, so the big hot-tub is great, but it takes way to long fill and wastes way to much water for 1 person. I really wish they could remove these relics of by-gone days and replace them with standard tub and separate showers, but know the cost would be ridiculous. No complaints w/the valet services, but do wish there was some short term parking nearer. The ski shop tune-up the skis and did a good job for a very reasonable price. My biggest complaint is the light pollution in the rooms. I understand the need for the lighted strip showing the step up/down into the bath room, but it stays on allllll night. We have to cover it up with towels b/c it's so bright. Add that to the light on the blow dryer and the light on the microwave and it's really a distraction trying to sleep. I unplug the blow dryer (which they should do anyway to save money), cover the microwave with a book/magazine. Overall, it's just a huge annoyance, and technically a vampire to the electricity usage. Bed is a bit soft to my taste. Pull-out sofa easy to use, but a bit hard. Okay, I know, I am rather picky about my bed comfort. No problem w/wi-fi connections, but the TV cable did wonk-out for about 30 minutes one day. However, we had not encountered this issue in previous stays.
"Saved our Tahoe trip!"
We came to this hotel after staying at a no frills place for a night and deciding we needed something nicer. This place met all our expectations and more. All the staff were polite and helpful. There was a problem with our fireplace not turning on (though it's mere presence was an unexpected happy surprise), and after we called about it it was fixed within half an hour. The jacuzzi in the middle of the room was fantastic. We ate at the bar, standard bar food and they had a brownie milkshake special, which was delicious. We didn't ski there, but from what we could see the lift is literally next door and you can rent stuff from inside the hotel facilities, which is crazy convenient.
"Great location but lacks amenities."
We loved staying in Heavenly Village which is so close to the lake. The rooms were large. We had the 2 bedroom which is the same as the 1 bedroom just had adjoining doors. I was told since this building is older that it wasn't zoned to have kitchens so instead we had a kitchenette. The coffee pot was small. I do think also since a mini- refrigerator & sink are supplied the resort should give dish soap & some dishes. The queen beds were comfortable but the pillows are extremely hard. The big problem I see here is the valet parking or lacks of valet attendants. We checked in on Dec. 23rd which was busy & only 2 attendants were on hand. Forget about getting a luggage cart & bellman to help. Worse for check-out. The Heavenly Hash restaurant was good. The activities were fair. Best of all we had snow on Christmas Eve!
"Cleanliness & Friendliness"
Had two separate rooms for our family to stay during our Sunday-Sunday vacation. Our room had 2 separate toilets, two separate sink vanities, a separate shower and a huge hot tub. There was a private bedroom with a Queen bed and two fold out beds (one sofa sleeper in the living room area and one wall pull-down bed in the dining area) so to sleep 6. There was a dining table, a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and small sink for eating prep. We had a fireplace and there was a tv in the living room and one in the bedroom. We were impressed with how clean and maintained our rooms were and the entire facility. There was a generous supply of towels and toilet paper in the rooms so we didn't have to request more during our stay. Maid service was on Wednesday. The lobby and valet and bell service staff were very helpful and friendly. It was a real convenience having valet service especially with the cold weather. The resort is located right across the street from Heavenly Ski Resort and a free shuttle service provided transportation to the Gondola and shopping center in town. Our only recommendation for improvement would be to update the furnishings and decor in the lobby and rooms. Our room's decor had colors that were popular in the 80's (wallpaper and pictures on the wall). Furnishings were well maintained but a fresh, updated look would be a welcomed improvement. Also, we aren't big hot tub fans and felt much of the room's square footage taken for this large tub would have better used for a full-sized kitchen and bigger dining area. Because of the cleanliness of the facility and friendliness of the staff we really enjoyed our stay. If we were to vacation in Tahoe in the future we would consider staying at this resort again.
"Not your run of the mill hotel"
Tahoe Seasons Resort is an older property and it's one of those quirky places that you either love it or you hate it as it does take some getting used to. The layout of the room is a bit strange as there is a humongo hot tub right smack dab in the middle of it. It can get a little akward if you are sharing the room with friends. In a one bedroom suite, the tub and the restroom area separates the living are and the bedroom. There is no kitchen, so do not expect to do any in room cooking. The do provide you with a toaster, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. We have stayed there many times over the years as we love it! The staff is always very friendly. The bellmen have been working there forever! It's great to see the same faces whenever we return. It's like coming home. They have valet parking so your vehicle is always warm and toasty when they bring it back up to you. We love this place because it is kitty corner from the tram. A quick walk across the street and parking lot, and a ride up the tram and you're on the slope! So much more convenient than taking the goldola from town. It is so packed down there and there is always a long snaking line (no, thank you!) If you get tired skiing, you have the option of taking the tram back down (or skiing down Gunbarrel (yikes!), walking across the parking lot, crossing the street and going back into the room for a quick lunch before going back up again (if you're not too tired). Just be careful driving down Keller Road (if you dare) after it snows. That road can get icy and cars have gone sliding down the hill. It's not unusual to have little pileups at the bottom because people don't know how to drive on it. Consider yourself warned!
"Love the Jetted Tub in the Middle of the Room!"
We've been here twice now, once for a week and recently for a quick get-away over the weekend. We love the jetted tub (huge!) in the middle of the room! The style of the hotel is a little dated but kept up nicely and very clean. There are gas fireplaces in all rooms and refrigerators. On the roof is a tennis court and BBQ's. It's a nice place on a sunny day to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. There is a restaurant on site for breakfast only and a bar in the lobby with drinks and appetizers in the evenings. They have a heated pool also and many other amenities. We like this place.
"review of the hotel and the town"
the town is gorgeous ,pretty places to see,the lake is something special the water is so clean ,I recomend the place, the hotel I stayed was very good,if you go during the winter is the best place, because is right there at the edge of the mountain where people go down hill skiing, the lady at the recepcion desk wasnt very nice at the first moment, but on the next day the shift changed and they were nicer ,the coffe was not included but was nice and the girl was very sweet ,I think I could have stayed longer because the town is lovely
"Very good"
A very good hotel to use during the summer months, however, the bar is closed mid week but the Himmel Haus is just down the road (walk in 1 minute) and has much more choice and food. Breakfast was good and we were able to select off menu to avoid the classic American deep fried selections ;-). Hotel was right next to the lifts at Heavenly which would be perfect for the winter! Receptionist nearly have us a heart attack when approached about valet fee. $150 per night weeknight and $170 per weekend night. Luckily our timeshare covered it! When the bar was open the bar staff were friendly and great fun shame they are not open all week! Swimming pool and hot tub are open late which is good and the hotel offer BBQ equipment, tennis and shuffleboard. Rooms are good although a little dated. Our room had a hot tub but it's easier to go to the pool and use that, especially during drought season!
"Perfect Stay"
An excellent place to stay. The room was a little bit cramped but had all features. A spa tub, a convertible sofa in case you are more than 2 folks. They have a free valet parking and they do it every time you go there. Also remember to get the Gondola ride tickets at their gift shop as it is discounted here.
"Treated Like a True Guest"
This hotel, tucked away in the pines above South Lake Tahoe, offered the best customer service I have ever experienced at any hotel anywhere. The front desk staff were gracious and welcoming and the car valets were extremely accommodating. We had bikes and a rooftop carrier, and they were very helpful in making special arrangements for secure overnight parking. The best part was that we didn't even have to ask; they understood the situation and proactively proposed solutions.
"Quiet spot,"
Located in a quiet neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of the casinos, but within a 5 minute drive. Located across the street from the parking lot for the Heavenly Tram, making it a great location for winter season. valet parking only, raised trucks etc. won't fit under ground and this can be a problem for their owners. Valet service is prompt, and reasonably courteous. Front desk workers are always friendly, usually courteous, and tries to be helpful. The rooms are well maintained, although the layout is odd, the 1 bedroom is plenty spacious and perfect for a couple.
"Best Value & Location for the Area!"
The location of this resort was ideal for taking off snowboarding. I stayed here with a group of friends on a snowboard trip and had a blast! The hot tub was great after a long day on the slopes. I'll definitely be back. We got the best deal using the hotel tonight app. If you use the HOTEL_TONIGHT promo code you get an extra $25 off their discounted prices. Enjoy.
"Impressive"
I will always stay here when I go to Tahoe. We had a room facing the ski runs it was gorgeous. I met with my whole family there and we had 4 people in our room very comfortable. The Jacuzzi tub and the kitchenette was exactly what we needed to be comfortable. We went for a walk at night up the hill under beautiful, brilliant starlight, in the morning we went to breakfast at the resort restaurant. The other part that was great was being able to purchase tickets for the MS Dixie UK dinner cruise at the gift shop. It really was a one stop shop for an ideal trip to Tahoe.
"Wonderful place to vacation"
I upgraded my timeshare to add an additional room. Room was very nice and we had more room than what I thought we would have based on the pictures I saw on line. I wouldn't have upgraded. We enjoyed our stay, the staff was very pleasant. We had breakfast one morning at the resturant, it was very good - a lot of food, couldn't finish it. My husband cooked on the grill a couple of times. We went to Tahoe Sports Fishing on day to fish and that was a little dispointing because of the size of the fish small salmon - very fussy fish we had to be careful when we got one on the line. I caught 5 and only put two on the boat. Hey, it was a different kind of fishing. The lake and the views were so beautiful that it didn't really matter. We had lunch at the Riva it was very good food. We went to Emerald Bay - it was a sight to see. We went to Sand Harbor and ate lunch there, there burgers were delicious. The views there was breath taking. Tahoe we went to Sequioa National Park it was a 7 hour drive; long drive in the mountains but again views, views, views. The National Park was everything and more than we could have expected. We also did San Fransisco, the Alcatraz tour and the San Fransisco tour. That was a long day. I would split the two tours we got done at 5pm and then drove to Tahoe. It was a fantastic trip and would recommend this resort. We managed to see a lot and had a grand time.
