What Our Customers Are Saying

Written Review

"Tulum is a Dream!"
Except for a 45 minute delay in getting our direct ride Van to show up at the Cancun airport, the hotel exceeded all of our expectations and then some. The food was excellent and well prepared. If you want to avoid waiting, show up at the 6PM opening time and you will have no problems what so ever. For the a la carte restaurants, people trickle in for the first 45 minutes and then you will have to wait for an opening. The world cafe is really good and can please even the most picky of eaters. We picked this resort for the reef just off the shore and while it is recommended for beach access by only strong swimmers, you will not be disappointed. With the tide and wave action, good flippers are a must. The shore line is rocky with only a small area by the inflatables where you can walk in barefooted on sand. With the wave action, you should be very careful everwhere else. I would not hesitate to book this resort again. Well worth the price.
"Elegance and Excellence abound"
My husband and I recently spent a week at Tulum and were blown away. Although it was quite a drive from the Cancun airport - 2 hours by shuttle, about 1 1/2 hours by rental car - it was well worth it. The Tulum area is quiet and beautiful, and the hotel was absolutely elegant! It is a medium sized hotel, about 250 rooms, with two pools and a very large and GORGEOUS beach. The staff members were exceptionally friendly and courteous. The restaurants, 6 in all, had delicious food, plenty of seating and no reservations required. One was a buffet, two were outdoors on the beach (Mexican and Grille), and three were gourmet (Japanese Cuisine/Sushi bar, French, and Italian). We never had a mediocre meal! With the smaller size of the hotel, we never felt crowded at all. The entertainment staff kept us in stitches with their "crazy games" and daily contests. Tuesdays and Thursdays, artisans displayed their wares for sale in the courtyard. The items were lovely, of good quality and we never felt pressured to buy. Friday evening the hotel staff hosted "Mexican Night," with open air dining, a live Mariachi band and traditional Mexican dancing. The rooms were elegant and well-apportioned. One unique feature of the resort was the daily bike tour to the nearby Mayan ruins at Tulum. There was no extra charge for this, and it was a nice half-day, guided tour. I would not recommend it for small children, as you ride on the road for a short distance, but older children should be fine. The Adventure Club was a fun option for children, and although ours stayed at home, other guests told us their children loved the activities. We chose to shop in the city of Tulum (not the ruins) as it was much closer than the Playa del Carmen, and we were not disappointed. Area snorkeling trips were great, too, in the ocean or open cenotes offsite. The trip was absolutely heavenly and we can't wait to return!
"Tulum Vacation"
Hi-- I just returned from a wonderful stay in Tulum-- I was there to help celebrate my friends 25th anniversary re nenwal vows-everything was perfect and I would like to thank Landy for helping with ALL the arrangments- we did not have to worry about a thing-- I think she even ordered us the perfect sunset on the beach! I have been to the resort 3 times before and I believe it is just getting better- the service was amazing-- everyone always had a smile and an Hola --the entertainment staff were great--Hi Erika and Saul-- each day there was a different activity- I learned how to make guacamole and where Tequila came from--also--the water aerobics were a blast!! The food was great too-- still trying to work off the dinner from the Italian restuarant! The Mayan Fire dance show was wonderful to see-- also want to say that the Explorer's Club is the best kids club--Quetzali is the best-- she knew ever kids name and they did not want to leave -- the movies at night on the beach were a great idea--we had a little more adult time! our rooms were clean and very comfortable-- I really can't complain about a thing! So-- to the excellent staff - thanks AGAIN for a great trip!! Oh-- the new pool is wonderful as is the new lobby-with a great new bar to chill in after dinner!
"Amazing Trip!"
My husband and I went to Tulum to get married. In order to get married there you have to set the whole thing up with the wedding cordinator. We were previously going to Punta Cana and couldn't communicate with anyone, so we tried this place. The wedding cordinator was wonderful... easy to communicate with which was the reason we selected this resort. Upon arrival we had the nicest and friendiest driver from applevacations. The resort was breath takingly beautiful. We book a room in the hacienda section, but the offered us a free up grade. We had no idea what to expect. The bell boy was like wow this is a nice room. I thought he was saying that because he worked there. But no it had to be one of the nicest rooms available. It was on the top floor facing the ocean and the pool. It had 2 balaconies. Beautiful view... right on the beach. We book tours with applevacations. We went on the Mayan Adventures snorkling which was amazing. They took us to a cenote, lagoon, and a cave. It was sooo fun, but I do recommend taking your own fins and mask because it was hard to find ones that fit right...because there was a lot of people doing tours. It let us see a lot of hidden things we never would have known about. The lunch was nice also! We also went to Chichen Izta. It is one of the seven wonders of the world, which I never knew. It was amazing along with the lunch and swimming in the cenote. I recommend doing the tours, you meet so many nice people from your resort and build friendships. I loved it! However doing the tours made us tired so we ate dinner and went to bed each night early to wake up early for more! Our wedding was beautiful.... the photographers on the beach do a wonderful job takin photos, which they go around all day taking photos and you can buy them from the world cafe if you so please. The breakfast is great and so is the seaside grill. Every person you meet, including workers and guests are extremely nice. it was the cleanist resort. Very romantic. There were many different types of people. Not many Americans though. Young couples, older couples, families with small children. There is events for everyone. One night they had the oscars on the beach. They have movies on the beach each night. I do reccommend water shoes for swimming in the ocean. Due to the coral reef it is kind of rocky and shelly making your way out to the beach and can be painful. Overall we loved our visit!
"Wonderful Relaxing Vacation"
We spent a week at Tulum February 13-20, 2008. Our flight through Chicago was on time and our driver (Cancun Valet) was waiting at the airport for us in our private van. With a glass of champagne and friendly smiles awaiting us, we checked in quickly and were in our room in no time. We had a junior suite in the 4000 block (the older section). The room was lovely, quiet and spacious, a short walk to all the restaurants. After wandering around the 'newer' section we decided we liked the more authentic Mexican flavor where we were. We were told the food was great here, but it was better than expected. Service was prompt and always friendly. The resort seemed to get more crowded on the weekend and the service at the pools and bars suffered a bit, but not a big deal. The beach was rocky in spots, but plenty of non rocky areas to swim and play. The bouncing things in the water were quite fun. The pools were very clear and clean; the grounds were immaculate and beautiful! I had a little accident dancing at the pool (two left feet) and the medicos were there immediately to bandage my nasty stubbed toe (advice: wear closed toed shoes when taking dance lessons). We had a beautiful anniversary (25th) breakfast in bed and a great romantic dinner at Portifno - all complimentary! We stayed at the 'quiet' pool mostly, but from what I saw the entertainment staff was great at keeping those that wanted to partake, busy. The kids also seemed to be having alot of fun. The onsite stores were quite nice and reasonably priced we thought. Every couple of nights the vendors would come in with their wares, very convenient, as we only had to leave the resort once (for better bandages for my toe). Which by the way: bring your own first aid items as your preferred items may not be available! This place was fantastic! I would especially recommend it to those with kids between 7-12, they really looked like they were having fun.
"Wonderful"
Anyone with significant complaints about this resort is a malcontent or just plain nuts. I typically visit non AI upscale resorts (for example Shutters in Santa Monica, Ritz in Kapalua, Bald Head Island, NC). This was my first AI and I was blown away. Service is impeccable. Food is fantastic. Grounds are beautiful. Free resort wide wifi is now operational!!! Don't get a rental car, cabs are available faster than it takes to walk to the car and in the long run less expensive. Driving a rental in the dark for two hours, in the pouring rain, when I arrived would have been a nightmare. Took my daughters advice and am so glad I did. Stayed in building 8 on first floor. Great view of beautiful garden area, quiet, and on first floor so no stairs. Premium Jr. garden suite. This resort is fantastic! Visit here with no worries!!
"Brillant Staff and wonderful setting, wheelchair friendly."
Spent two weeks here with friend who is a wheelchair user. When we arrived the room was fantastic but we had a "problem". My friend is small and the beds are high. I called and explained the issue. Within 20 mins we had two carpenters in the room measuring up for a "step" which was made within the hour. It worked a treat. What fantastic service! Generally it is a good resort for someone with a disability as there are ramps and level access to the beach. Small step, 2 inches, at most doorways into restaurants but everyone was so helpful holding doors etc. I was very impressed with staff and other guests offering assistance. On the shopping trip to Tulum one of the Entertainment Team came into the ruins and helped with the wheelchair - could not have done it without him. We tested out all the Restaurants and the Italian came out on top "by far" so it was there we had our last meal. Room service was excellent too as was the World Cafe which had loads of choice and cooking stations for fresh cooked meals. The shows were mixed, some were amazing and some not so good. The entertainment team worked hard and were always full of energy and fun. The beach is beautiful and pools kept clean. We had a lovely holiday and would definitely go again. The only moan was the journey length from London!
"This Is More Than A Classic Mexican Beach Resort With Old World Ambiance, It has Heart & Soul!"
This Beach Resort has heart and soul, thanks to their wonderful staff! We have just arrived home after spending the last 22 days at the Tulum Resort. This is our Families 4th trip into the Riviera Maya area within the last 4 years and the best resort experience to date due do several factors. If your looking for the all night disco resort, your in the wrong place and suggest booking into one of the Mega-Resorts or closer into Cancun. Although this resort is quite large, it has a much smaller personal resort feel to it. Although not a new resort, this place is extremely lovely and is well maintained with a staff to guest ratio of at least 1 per family. If you prefer solitude, you can find it here with plenty of lush tropical beach on both sides of the resort including secluded sweet water cenotes. If you want more fun and action, the excellent entertainment team will be more than happy to help. I must state that this is the most cohesive team we have ever seen at any resort to date since my first trip to Mexico in 1982. For those with young children, our 4-year old Daughter will testify that this is her all time favorite Kids Club to date and personally noted the love and expert attention and safety protocol provided by Bernice's wonderful team including Ana, Marianne and Cynthia. For those like us whom had bad resort food in the past, I assure you that like us and all the other guests engaged on this topic, this resort has it right, thanks to Iron Chef Jose Luis and Sous Chef Raul! I was raised around the fine cuisine scene in San Francisco and these guys hooked me up with the best Salmom and Seafood platter ever! Ask and you shall receive! Finally, the reason why we stay all the way South in Tulum: This is where all the fun eco-tourism activities are located with one of the top rated beaches in the world.
"An absolute must"
My wife and I stayed here from the 5th December for 7 nights. It was everything that other reviewers had said. The rooms were spacious and cleaned very efficiently by housekeeping, lovely bathroom with separate hand basins which was quite nice and lots of fluffy white towels. The two swimming pools were excellent and for a change the beach was also very good, although the sea was a little rough.Being all inclusive meant you had a choice of various restaurants which did not require reservations. Our favourite was the French, then the Thai and Italian, superb A La Carte service at all of them. There is also a Sushi restaurant for those liking Japanese food.It was a struggle to tear ourselves away from the pool but we did a day trip to Chichen Itza. This I can highly recommend.Book it in the foyer at the arp desk,it is the same price as charged by other tour operators but I believe this company is better. It is a long day,but from joining your luxury coach, the staff on board are very knowledgable and act as guides when you get to the site.Breakfast rolls and soft drinks are freely available, along with Corona beer, also apples and banannas. You stop for a very nice lunch and then onto a Centole for a swim.Magic! All this for $109 per person,I thought this was a bargain. You can also get a local bus or taxi into Tulum for a bit of shopping and also see the ruins at Tulam. If you only go to Mexico once make sure its here, you will not be disappointed!
"Fabulous, can't wait to go back"
EXCELLENT service, grounds, restaurant choices and kids club. Loved the coffee shop, and the kids loved the smoothie bar. Great entertainment by all-inclusive standards. We went to the ruins - in March it was EXTREMELY hot - we arrived at 9 a.m. and regretted not going earlier. We never left the resort again!
"Sheer luxury!"
Enjoyed two weeks at Tulum late Nov/early Dec. The hotel is beautiful - well kept grounds, clean pools, smart restaurants and a beach to die for! We ate in most restaurants - the World Cafe was quick and easy but food wasn't always hot. French restaurant was the best. Visiting Tulum ruins is a must but our best day out was swimming with sea turtles at nearby Akumal. Don't do a tour - take a taxi and go out with a local guide when you get there. Akumal bay is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. We also visited Coba and Chichen Itza - both good days out and different from Tulum and each other. Couples massage on the beach was great - a real treat.
"Against My Better Judgement - SHOCKED!"
I'm happy to report that not all All Inclusive resorts are created equal!! There are some GREAT options out there even in mega resort land Mexico Caribbean Cost! Just wrapped up 4 nights 5 days at Tulum and it was AMAZING! It exceeded my expectations so far above the stereotypical All Inclusive resort I almost stayed another week! Food - there were 5 restaurants on property - Mexican - fantastic - handmade guacamole, local flavors, multiple selections, 10 kinds of infused tequilas! Italian - very solid pasta, salads, mussels and white wine. Seaside Grill - good casual daytime spot for fresh grilled seafood, snacks, nachos. The World Cafe Buffet - incredible - each night new offerings, hand cut grilled steaks, nightly local taco station with carne asada, pastor, fresh tortillas, fresh salad bar, incredible GIANT paella with fresh seafood that was remarkable!! Drinks/Bar - While tequila selection was not premium nor vast - it was very respectable and the drinks were not watered down. Fresh citrus juices, bartenders were coachable for specifics of preferred drinks - double alcohol, not too sweet, more spice, slash of beer in the marg - however you wanted it they would do it!! Very impressive regarding their skill and desire to please. Always with a smile, and a "My Pleasure to serve you". Limbert at the lobby bar is a bar tending rock star! Stop by and see him for a well crafted cocktail of your choice. His mojito with 7 year aged Flor de Cana rum and raw sugar was the best on property and as good as anything you will find in Cuba! Staff - Incredibly friendly, helpful, smiles, greeting every time you meet them, obviously well trained, constantly coached, and strong leadership at each level of management! Staff bent over backward to make sure guests were satisfied. Had a great conversation with Alex the Resort General Manager at one of property restaurants - engaging, interested in guest satisfaction, committed. Resort reflect his leadership at every level. Grounds - amazingly beautiful! so unbelievably well maintained and groomed. fresh flowers, plants, fountains, classic Mexican style. Wow!! Beauty was breathtaking!! Made it a joy moving between room, pools, restaurants, and beach. Nighttime was a complete new world with lighted paths, colored light, illuminated plants, trees, and soft music lining the walks. Very impressive. Beach - AMAZNG! Water was fantastic caribbean turquoise blue. Beach staff maintained chairs, towels, seaweed, sand was immaculate, clean, white, well groomed. Plenty of beach activities - sailing, scuba, snorkeling, volleyball, staff led games, really fun. No local beach combers selling stuff. Resort has several shops, stands selling gifts, clothes, trinkets. No need for local beach salesmen. Rooms - clean, comfortable. Upgraded to Jr suite - small couch, desk sitting area. Large flat screen TV, very well appointed bathrooms, clean linens, nice shampoo. Small fridge filed daily with coke, beer, water. Amazing experience for me that far exceeded my expectations. So impressed with every detail of the resort and would highly recommend it to friends, and absolutely return for another stay.
"Exceeded Expectations"
Celebrating 3 birthdays with 9 adults and 7 children. One of the best vacations we could experience because of the amazing service, excellent food and great safe swimming in the ocean. Pools for adults and pools for children clean and safe too. Activities for children are unbeatable. Kids were delighted and parents could relax. Price and value a great deal. Everything inclusive. Even room service, mini bar, many great restaurants besides standard buffet at World Cafe. Food very tasty varieties and lots of it. Service is impeccable. Personnel seem genuinely happy working here and it spills out in amazing care and service. My second experience and the best!
"More than I expected..."
This would be my second trip to Mexico and my second time staying at an all-inclusive. Because of this...I didn't expect too much. My first trip to Cancun was during my college spring break -- this time I go back with my husband and toddler son. My first experience with an all-inclusive had me swearing I'd never do it again. My first experience left me bored and underwhelmed with the choices for restaurants and bars. Tulum actually was beyond my expectations. Upon arrival we were greeted with glasses of champagne and fresh towels to refresh after the travel. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The beach is cleaned every morning as well as the individual pools. And regardless of how much you tip -- the service is consistent and friendly. I was actually shocked to see as many families there...but goes to show the level of attention to details. The restaurants were all unique and all meals were enjoyable (note we didn't eat at the French or sushi rests because of our toddler). The Asian place was not great but the Italian rest made you actually feel like you stepped off the resort for a while. Overall recommendation: We would most definitely visit this resort again as well as look into sister hotels and locations for future vacations.
"perfect place to be"
My boyfriend and I stayed for 6 nights mid-late November 2013 and it was the perfect week. From check in to check out, everything was amazing the the service was unforgettable! Tulum is about 1.5-2 hours on a shuttle from the Cancun Airport (depending on how many other people need to be dropped off/picked up at other resorts on the way). We spent everyday on the beach, a very quiet part to the North. No need to get up early and do the "towel rush" as there are more than enough lounge chairs to get sun all day. Sylvia was the best beach server, extremely friendly and she kept us supplied with great alcoholic drinks all day (try the iceberg or for non-alcoholic, the fizzy lemon peach!) White sand beach, watch out for the reef and the little drop off right as you walk in but still many places to walk in without hitting rocks. You can walk out pretty far as the water doesn't get too deep, the water was SO warm and the blue/green colour was breathtaking. The World Cafe was amazing for breakfast (ask for bacon at the egg station!!), the Mexican restaurant was good but the Italian restaurant (Portofino) was absolutely the best! My bf LOVED the Minestrone soup and everything else was just as fantastic. Our server, Alfonso(?), absolutely the nicest guy there. Room service was also great. Definitely see the Tulum Ruins, you will NOT be disappointed! We did an adventure day tour (rappelling, zip lines and snorkelling in a cenote), which was also like a dream! Snorkelling in the cenotes is a DEFINITE MUST DO (fyi underwater disposable camera pictures do not turn out). If you plan on shopping in Tulum, bring pesos as the vendors preferred pesos to american $. Cannot say enough great things about Tulum, will definitely return to this area of Mexico and maybe even the same resort or chain again!
"Great place Great staff"
Came here for four days and had a great time.the food and shows were very good but the best is the people working here, they were all respectful and the most important HAPPY. Even the bartenders. Good for couples as well as family's
"Luxury and service plus"
My wife and I stayed at the Tulum Resort and Spa from Nov.27 to Dec.11th. It was the most fantastic and relaxing trip we have ever had. The service was OUTSTANDING!!!!! The food was the best we have ever had compared to the many other resorts we stayed at and cruises we have gone on. The preferred club package is the way to go and add the indulgence package and you think you went to heaven. Champagne, fruit and pastries awaited our arrival in our room for that added special touch. We had room 5201 a second floor corner ocean view suite with a wrap around balcony, that in our opinion was the best. You had sun on the ocean view side in the morning and shade by noon and sun on the other side of the balcony if you chose to tan there. The restaurants were to die for. The Himitsu Asian food restaurant was our favorite. AWESOME!!!. It did not matter whether you went to the Italian "Portofino" , the Mexican, French , Sushi, Seaside grill for sea food, the poolside grill for awesome Hamburgers or the World buffet it was all great with absolutely no disappointments with service or the food. The CoCo cafe was the best coffee cafe I've ever been too. It had all the specialty coffees with pastries in the morning and sandwiches for lunch and evening snacks. This is where the preferred club lounge is, the room has the feel of decadence when you enter. A full no host bar with every type of alchol you can imagine with deserts and appies. It has comfortable couches and chairs where you can have cocktails and watch television before or after dinner or just because. The preferred club also has the concierge service there that will help you with every request you have. The Spa and gym were the only places we did not use but listening to the other guests they too were awesome. The grounds are impeccable!!! It is sculptured to perfection and the entire facility is a botanical garden with tropical birds. The beaches and pools are great for all ages with activities for all. They too had awesome service as the waiters were constantly checking to ensure you had what you needed. The resort is a bit of a trip to the resort, roughly an hour and a half drive but close to all the archaeological sites and within a half hour to Playa del Carmen and less than 10 minutes to Tulum. It is a family friendly resort with all sorts of activities for the kids with a social kids center that they can attend all day. Treat yourself and stay here you will not be disappointed.
"Excellent Service!"
We just returned from Tulum. I would highly recommend this resort. First of all, the Service was AMAZING! I have been to quite a few countries down South and I have never had such great service. There was no such thing as "Caribbean time" at this resort. The wait staff and activity staff always have smiles on there face and went above and beyond multiple times. I was truly blown away. -The food was great. There were a ton of options in all of the restaurants. No reservations and free room service was amazing! -The menu pointed out Gluten free choices and there were quite a few! -Buffet was Amazing for Lunch and Breakfast. Lots of options. - Smoothie bar was great and had a lot of options! (opens a little late though) - The evening shows were good. -less than 5 minutes to the Ruins via Collectivo (Side Note: it was $2.00 USD taxi fare each/ 1 way & $5.50 to get into the ruin, the tour operators told us it would be $50.00 each if we went without a tour group....it was actually only $9.50 each/ round trip.Bring extra cash though as it wasn't easy getting a bus back to the hotel, so you may need to cab) -The beach and resort were beautiful! The gardens are very well kept and get for a late night stroll. -The gym was pretty good (a little warm but well kept) -Tennis courts were in good condition. Everyone we spoke to had an equally great time. I have never send I wanted to return to the same resort before, but I would 100% return to this one.
"Nice resort, would came back"
We just returned from an 8 night stay. My wife, 12 year old daughter and I. We always visit the pacific side of Mexico and this was the first time for us on the Caribbean side. We had booked Canada transfers for $130 round trip and paid upon arrival. The resort is about an hour and a half drive. Check in went smoothly. We had a standard room and were placed on the second floor in Hacienda Oaxaca which was close to the lobby. Our view from the balcony was that of the garden and of the rooms across and on the two sides. The resort is fairly big and in a tropical setting with lots of trees and some animals and birds. We liked walking around the resort grounds and through the various pathways. The resort has just been remodeled and everything in the room was brand new, including the paint, furniture, flat screen TV, dvd player, etc. Food is mediocre except at the Gohan sushi bar. We really loved the sashimi and the nigiri there, so much that we went there thrice. Himitsu, the asian was our next favorite. What we really liked was the smoothie shop. They had a lot of variety and the smoothies were made really good. Another nice thing was the Coco Cafe which is open from 7:30 to 11:30. You get hot and cold coffee beverages, pastries, sandwiches, etc. This was really a nice option to have. Do tip the guys at the smoothie bar and at the Coco Cafe. BTW, this resort has so many food options, its incredible. They also have room service. The staff at this resort is incredible. They are extremely friendly and we come across as being sincere. Never visited a resort in Mexico where the staff is genuinely friendly. Do tip the maids, at the restaurants, bars, etc. They truly deserve it. This resort does not require you to wear a wrist band, nor are reservations required at the a la cartes, which is nice. Be sure to bring water shoes. Ask the lifeguard and he will show you an area outside the sea side grill where you can get into the water. The water is clear and turquoise color and the sand is white. Very nice. You are so close to the Tulum ruins so be sure to go there. Do not take taxis at the hotel. They are very expensive. Instead walk out to the front entrance and ride the collectivos on the highway. Cheap and nice. There are two pools, a quite one and an activity pool. Lots of entertainment activities going on during the day. There are plenty of choices to get drinks and they make some good cocktails. Wife and daughter used the spa a couple of times for massages and were happy. Out of 7 full days of stay we only stayed at the resort an entire day for 2 days. Rest, we went to Xcaret, Tulum ruins, chichen itza, coba, Valladolid, Akumal Bay, etc. As I mentioned, it was our first time on this side and we wanted to do so much.
"Best hotel I have stayed at in Riviera Maya"
This hotel in my experience is the best I have stayed at in the riviera Maya! Excellent quality of food in all restaurants and pleasant staff, the pools are very clean and plenty of beds for everyone. I have to praise the staff of the explorers club, my 9 year old just kept wanting to return they really are fantastic with the children. Note tho that most of the fine dining restaurants do not allow the children in, although the kids club is open till 10pm to look after them! Overall view, you are welcomed in a warm manner from the moment you arrive until you leave...Were returning in February, fantastic place!!
"Travel Agent Review - Family Vacation"
We just returned from our first Family Vacation in Mexico at Tulum! We have visited all Beaches resorts, Club Med and other high end family properties. This was our first time at a this resort and we enjoyed every minute!! Check in was seamless. Greeted with Champange and towels and cookies for the kids. Our room wasn't quite ready (we arrived at 11am so I expected this) so we went for lunch and came back and got escorted to our rooms. We are a family of five so I booked two Juniour Suites connecting. Amazing!! Our rooms were huge and looked out onto the beautiful (stunning) lush grounds. The kids room was perfect with two double beds and a crib for the baby. Full marble bathroom with jacuzzi and robes. Our room had a gorgeous canopy King Bed and also a full jacuzzi bathroom. This was plenty of room for our stay and the connecting rooms were perfect. We were located on the ground floor which was nice for strollers (however elevator access is easy for second floors too) The food was amazing - not one of us was sick at all and also didn't hear of anyone at the resort being sick...we met quite a few people. The pools were beautiful and we swam for most of the day either in the ocean (beautiful!) or pools. A favourite part of our day was the walk down the beach (South). It was like paradise. I love that the resort is so secluded. Truly magical. Our boys (ages 3 and 5) were in love with the Explorers Club! We could barely keep them out! The club was very organized, the activities were wonderful and the staff beyond amazing. Again, we've been to Beaches and Club Med and I would say the Explorers Club was on par with the other kids clubs. Mariana and Beatrice were amazing!! I was lucky enough to try out the Spa and WOW! Best treatment ever!! I am a spa lover and this was in all honesty the best massage of my life. Highly recommended!! The entertainment at the resort was perfect for what we were there for - a family vacation. The Fire Show was the best show I've seen at a resort! Night Life is pretty non existant but for us this was a good thing! We had a private to and from the hotel with Happy Shuttle and I highly recommend this option. Tulum is a bit of a drive but by having a private transfer the time is cut down quite a bit. It is well worth the drive!
