Place is great!! Great rooms , great views. And great value. This was me and my family's second year in a row staying here . Will stay again for sure! The rooms all have a very homey feel to them and the location is great. Very close to all stores and restaurants and of course the beach.

"Spacious & clean accomodations"
After deciding on a girls weekend away in Maine, I came across the Village by the Sea, and so happy I did. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath room was so spacious, clean and comfortable. Plenty of room, so we did not get in each others way. It even had a washer and dryer so I could go home with clean clothes. The room had everything we needed, even an electric fireplace for the ambiance of the cooler weather in Maine. The room looked out over the marsh, so it was peaceful and quiet. Everything was well maintained, inside and out. Staff was terrific as well. I will definitely stay here again for my next visit to Maine from Florida.

If you need a place for a group, couples or just time together this is the place. We had three rooms in October for an organizational meeting then one two bedroom suite for two couples having a fun weekend in November and we have a two bedroom suite in December to enjoy all the Christmas celebrations in Wells, Kennebunkport and Ogunquit Maine. Each suite is like an apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, dinning room, living room and laundry closet with washer and dryer. Every room overlooks the ocean and the grounds are beautifu . There is a clubhouse with a workout room, game room and a pool with a waterfall and hot tub. Change there or come over in your swim suit. Enjoy the many area restaurants, shopping walking trails and scenic views Maine has to offer. The staff at Village by the Sea is professional and at the same time friendly. It's truly like a home away from home!

"When in Wells...."
We enjoyed a week in unit 11F or F11. This clean spacious airy unit overlooks the marsh, a strip of seasonal homes and of course the Atlantic. This unit has two bedrooms. One is a king room with separate bath, fully appointed kitchen, Laundry closet, beautiful living/ dining area and a deck to catch the morning rays. All this for a price that slightly exceeds a typical motel room. We will be back. But reserve early.
"Almost perfect"
We arrived on a Thursday and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and size of our unit for the price that we paid. The unit was on the first floor and there weren't many people staying there, so it was nice and quiet. On Friday, however, a family with (we think) small children took the unit above us and we could hear EVERY STEP they took. Very noisy evening which we didn't enjoy nearly as much. If we stay there again we will ask for a top floor unit.

"The perfect place to stay"
We stayed in a two bedroom two bath condo with a full kitchen and dining room. it was immaculate! The furniture was beautiful and looked brand new. The kitchen was stocked with all the utensils, pots and pans, everything you needed was there. There was a great deck off the master bedroom, we enjoyed sitting out there with a glass of wine. The facility was fully booked, but very quite and the grounds were kept very clean.
"End of summer visit"
We stayed in unit 15C. There were six of us. The second bedroom had two double beds, which was an unexpected bonus. Absolutely any- and everything one could need was in this unit. We had perfect weather and enjoyed the beach and the outdoor pool. Each time we stay at VBTS we are very pleased with the suites. The location is perfect for getting to the places we frequent when we are in Maine. Love, love, love this place.
"135 guests and counting..."
Spent the weekend at VBTS where my daughter s wedding was held there. Everything went without a hitch. The " beauty room" for the girls,function hall, lawn, gazebo, hours d'ouveurs hour,reception... all overseen by Jill and her staff from specifics bythe bride and groom made a special day a smooth reality. Our two bedroom condo was spacious. A welcoming register book on the table with notes from past guests was a nice touch. Free coffee and replacement just ask.We did not cook during the weekend, bit the kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and ware. A major grocery store a mile away. Yes...the wifi was spotty but when one is there for our reasons,leave the computer at home. I mindlessly left my good suit in the closet when checking out. Called Jill right away. She already had it in her office. Honesty is welcome. ( I chose to drive the hour back a couple of days later to get in another beach day). So for any brides to be or nervous dad's "giving away " their little girl,, consider your special day with VTBS.
"My girls and I stayed for 4 nights."
Loved the fact that there was 2 pools and a gym. My oldest loves working out. Great place. This was my 2nd visit and it will not be my last. Every thing was so close to us, wells beach is beautiful. and the staff are great and very helpful at the village by the sea.

Been to the area many times, but first time staying here. A very pleasant surprise! Very close to beach & had all that a family needed. Extremely clean & lots of space...would definitely come here again. A+++
"clean and cozy"
We stayed at the VBTS for only 1 night since it was where friends of ours were getting married and we had my parents watching our son (we live out of town)-but we will definitely be back and next time with our son. The rooms were very clean, bright, spactious, and had a great view of the marsh from our balcony. While we didn't have time to go to any beaches-I believe beaches are nearby and the outdoor pool looked like family fun! Oh-the master bedroom had a temper-pedic mattress-super comfortable!!! We recommend this venue and we will also be back for a longer stay next time!
"wonderful time"
VBTS was a great place. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was great with room to move and cook. The view was spectacular. Love the balcony. We sat out day and night having coffee, wine. Can't wait to back next year.
"Huge, practical, clean, well situated."
Wow! We were so confortable. A great surprise considering that we reserved almost at the last minute. These are appartments, litterally. Everything was there so we could make our own meals, so we did.

Our two bedroom condo was amazing, so spacious and the kids loved having their own room and t.v. We very much enjoyed the balcony and having a full kitchen. The property is very clean and well maintained. The choice of indoor or outdoor pool to swim in was nice as was having a basketball hoop for the kids to play on. It is close to so many areas, we enjoyed being out exploring and being so close to so much!

Loved our 4 days at Village by the Sea - the condo was ideal for 2 adults and 4 teenagers. Location is great and amenities are excellent - pool, hot tub and exercise room. Location is great for going to the beaches and shops in Wells and Kennebunkport.

"Very nice stay in Wells, Maine"
We have been staying at Village by the Sea for three straight years now. We previously stayed in other resorts in the area but have found that VBTS is the best. The condos are spacious for 5 people, clean and the staff is very accomodating. The only issue I have is the wi-fi is not very strong and was not always able to connect but there is a computer in the main office that is accessible. Would highly recommend.

We stayed for two nights and could not have been more pleased. We have stayed at VBTS many times over the years and are never disappointed. These comfortable condo units are literally someone's home that they rent out so the level of furnishings, decor and convenience is like nothing you get in a motel or hotel. Plush king size beds, recliners, fully appointed kitchen, dining room, two baths and on and on. Spotlessly clean and staff that responds to your inquiries and requests promptly and pleasantly. And all for about the same price and, in some cases less than the cost, of one mediocre room at many seaside resorts!
