We just finished a week vacation at the Grand Sirenis. We booked through BookVIP and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with the entire trip, all the way from booking through the conclusion of the trip. We got a phenomenal deal and had an excellent trip!

Written Review

"good place to stay"
Planned to just stay one night but liked it so well we stayed two. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The room was spaceous and very clean. When we checked out I left my computer cord. I notified the hotel, they mailed it to me immediately and I received it within one or two days. Only one suggestion, possible put out some kind of meat for breakfast. Otherwise would stay again and definitely would suggest to anyone staying in the area.
"Lovely Experience"
Nice hotel. Staff was very accommodating. Room was perfect. Great place! The location is good although its not directly in town its about five miles from downtown Charleston. But to stay downtown would have been more expensive for an equal quality room and the traffic there can be a little bit unnerving. Great vacation spot , and a great hotel what more could you ask for . Play tourist while there do the tours and carriage rides they are worth the price.
"Charlene is a wonderful host"
We stayed at the Comfort Suites in West Ashley while visiting my mother over the Thanksgiving holiday. We had many interactions with Charlene, who took our reservations over the phone and was there when we arrived. She was very helpful, friendly and professional. The rooms were in great shape and very clean. The staff was great. We were already completely happy with our experience and when I realized that I'd left behind a very valuable personal item, so I asked my mom the go by to see if they'd seen it. Charlene was there, had found the item, and returned it with a smile. We will definitely be staying there again, especially because we think Charlene really makes the stay special.
"Great Hotel"
If it was closer to downtown, there would be 5 stars across the board. Great staff and spotless throughout. Will stay there again. They also have a very good breakfast, that when you book you room directly through them, they give you $15 towards it.
"Service oriented staff"
The staff was very helpful and the Roxena in the breakfast area worked faster and more efficient than I have ever seen in any hotel. As food, utensils and drinks were depleted she made sure nothing was ever empty for the next guest. She also managed to work around all of the guests trying to gather their breakfast. I hope that her efforts are recognized by management in this hotel because she was wonderful. Her efforts can make or break the opinion of guests because when people are hungry they have high expectations.
"Great place to stay!"
Great place to stay, reasonable rates, not far from downtown. Rooms were large and clean. Excellent breakfast. Although a little tricky to locate at first, the location is really pretty good. We would stay there again.
"Extra nice staff"
A two night stay while at a conference in downtown Charleston. The room was great - no complaints; big and spacious and the beds were comfortable. The desk staff went out of their way to help at check-in and splitting the bill. The breakfast was typical for this kind of hotel, except the upgrade of eggs or eggs mixed w/sausage on Fri, and biscuits and gravy on Sat. was nice. THE BEST PART - they make their beds so that the blanket doesn't come up to your neck. I don't like it this way. I unmade it to make it do so the first night. The next day I came back and my bed was made by the cleaning staff just like I liked it, with the blanket all the way up! Now that's paying attention to the customer with service!
"Good location, quiet, clean."
The room was clean and comfortable. We were a little concerned because our room was right across from the elevator, but we found the room to be very quiet. Wi-Fi was free and easy to log into. The location is a little out from the downtown/city area, but we were there to visit my granddaughter's family, and we were very close to their location. The staff members were very helpful. When we did decide to go visit the historical district, the commute was not difficult. I reviewed the Hawthorn Suites...right down the road from this hotel......in May. I actually tried to get a room there and they were fully booked. I was bummed, but this hotel was beautiful and for about the same price. I wasn't disappointed.
"Great one!!!"
November 1, 2013 via mobile One night stay, too bad only one. This is really a great hotel. Very clean, huge rooms, great amenities, free wifi and decent breakfast. Reception stuff were very nice and helpful. Yes, it is right of the highway but still it wasn't noisy at all. In the rates of Charleston - this hotel is highly recommended.
"Nice Combo of Price and Amenities"
We just stayed here for two nights and were VERY pleased. The price was right and the accomodations were excellent. The room was clean and quite luxurious; the breakfast was better than most; the facility was neat/clean; and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is a bit removed from downtoiwn Charleston so that is the cost to obtain pleasant but more affordable lodging. Would heartily recommend but you definitely need a car since almost nothing is within walking distance.
"A huge relief..."
...from the Motel 6 a bit further down Savannah Highway which I previously reviewed. A single room was $89.99 plus tax, totaling $102, and it was gladly paid to not be kept up all night. For this location, I honestly expected the bill to come out to more than that. Everything was considerably better, from the bed/mattress quality to the room actually having a mini fridge to put your perishables in. Wireless internet access wasn't an extra charge on the bill. Traffic noise wasn't noticeable at all. The best part of all, I actually got a good night's sleep without any interruption by other guests being inconsiderate of people around them. I'm not simply saying all of this because anywhere was better than where I was staying. Comfort Suites really is a great place with professional and courteous staff. While checking out, they made sure to ask if I received the receipt which was slipped under the door to the room. In my opinion, you can't beat this place.
"Great Stay"
Stayed just one night for a family wedding, while other family members stayed between 2-4 days. Loved this place! Very convenient to interstates/The Battery/island where wedding took place. Even got a nice discount since multiple family members were at the hotel. Nice and new....clean room, great breakfast, very helpful and polite staff. just a great stay overall!
"Nice rooms"
We arrived early afternoon before check-in & the desk clerk was nice enough to find an available room & let us check in early which we really appreciated. Our king suite was clean & roomy, bed was comfortable & the bath towels & washcloths were so soft! We were there on a weekend & the property was pretty full but it was quiet & well maintained. Easy to get to the historic district from this locale. The complimentary breakfast is presented in a galley style area & was a little crowded at times, but the staff kept everything stocked & clean & they were very pleasant. The location of the hotel is on a triangular area of land & the parking lot is limited but well lit.
"A Very Pleasant Short Stay"
We only stayed one afternoon and one night in Charleston. The Comfort Suites West of the Ashley was a good location for us as we were leaving in the early morning for Florida. I must single out Christyan at the front desk. From the first phone call I had with her when I booked the room to her delightful front desk presence, she is a credit to the Comfort Suites company. She directed our friends who were lost driving to the hotel until they arrived. The room was comfortable with a nice sitting room area. The TV was on a swivel base (great idea!) There were plenty of pillows and the bed was comfortable. There was a coffee pot and an in-room safe. The complimentary buffet breakfast was plentiful and well serviced.
"Fabulous place to stay"
We loved this hotel. It is only 10 minutes from the historic area of Charleston and it is a straight shot to get there. I had the best 2 nights of sleep. After a day of walking while sightseeing we were both bone tired. Absolutely slept the night away, 9 whole hours. The suite was well decorated and the mattress was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel. Stayed October 2013, traveled as a couple
"Excellent Place To Stay!!"
I must admit this hotel rocks. I like the spacious suites, the cleanliness of the room and the service. Charlene at the front desk is the best. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Getting into the hotel can be a challenge but please don't let that stop you from staying.
"Great place, only 6 miles from downtown district!"
Super friendly, very clean, large rooms!!! We loved loved loved Charlene.... She was Fab and immediately gave us the southern charm that we miss when not in the south! Would def recommend to a friend!
"Exceeded my expectations!"
The rooms were very spacious, loved the separate seating area. Lots of storage room. Breakfast was nice, plenty of items to choose from. Staff was very friendly, always had a smile. We had an issue with our TV and it was fixed before we returned back to our room that afternoon. Beds were very comfy. We used the directions listed on the website and had no problems finding it. My only complaint would be to maybe have room darkening curtains that covered the whole window. Our room was up front and the big spot light that was over the covered walkway was very bright shining in. I had to find some clips to hold the curtain shut in the middle. If not, we would not had gotten any sleep. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again if we go back to Charleston!
""Welcomed""
I really enjoyed my stay. Charlene, at the front desk, always greeted me with her warm smile and beautiful personality. Charlene truly made me feel welcomed. I am truly thankful for meeting her. She treated all of the guests with the upmost respect. Charlene made all of the guests feel welcomed. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. The location is very convenient to the downtown and close to the freeway.
"Great night sleep"
It is always nice to find a clean non-smoking hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean, and the staff friendly and attentive. The TV was good and the room came with a safe and a small fridge. Only a few miles from downtown Charleston, SC but close to a freeway. This is a great place to stop while travelling if you plan to visit Charleston along the way. We did not try the breakfast as we were meeting friends but it looked well stocked and the seating was filled up with happy patrons.
"Delightful Staff!"
What a pleasure to find this hotel. We normally stay at Kiawah Island, but due to last minute planning on a busy weekend, it was great! Clean with extremely comfortable beds. However, it was the staff that impressed me most. Friendly and helpful, especially when my daughter left her mobile phone, somewhere on property and dead. The staff member who found it charged it and found my contact to get it back to us. I think most places would have stuck it in a drawer and forgotten about it. Thank you, Thank you! A teenager traveling with her mom, without her phone, is a pitiful sight.
"Charlene, front/desk"
Charlene was one of the most nicest and most helpful and respectful front desk attendant I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, she was very helpful when asking if there was a taxi service that was reliable in town and she quickly gave us exactly what we needed, she has made the experience so much more enjoyable and most definitely will return and will recommend to all my friends and family to stay at comfort suites.
"Great stay - good location, affordable, short drive to historic Charleston"
We were very happy with this hotel. It's right off I-526, so it's convenient to get here. While it's not in downtown Charleston, it's just about a 15 minute drive to get to the historic district. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean, and have one of the most comfortable beds we've slept in. The suite designation means that the front half of the room has a sofa, easy chair and coffee table. A partition separates this area from the bed. The desk has a box with extra outlets and the lamps have additional outlets in the base, so recharging electronics is not a problem. Wi-fi was good - password is given when you check in. All the amenities are there - MW, fridge, flat screen TV, nice toiletries, even a safe in the closet. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, plain or with bacon or sausage mixed in, waffles, cereals, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. Copies of USA Today are available at the front desk. There are several fast food places in the area, but you'll need a car to get around.
"Our New Favorite in Charleston"
We travel to Charleston for long weekends several times a year and decided this year to stay in a different area and do some exploring. We decided on this hotel because of the indoor pool so I could get in my daily laps. We were very impressed with the hotel, our room and the staff. Check-in and check-out were both quick and painless. Our room was very clean, very comfortable, and quiet. The hotel was very easy to find and there's plenty of restaurants close by. The pool area was very clean; it was a very small pool, but I was still able to get in my laps. I highly recommend this hotel.
"Great location"
We found the location to be centralized to the places we visited--very close to Charleston and to major highways. Shopping centers, gas stations and restaurants all close by. All staff was friendly, especially Charlene. Glad we stayed there.
"Awesome!!!!!!"
Recently, while meeting a friend for a impromptu weekend in the beautiful city of Charleston , I was delighted to stay in this hotel. I originally wanted a hotel close to the city, but because of the prices and availability of hotels, I was not able to get a room. Originally when booking the room, I thought for the location, it seemed a bit expensive also, but I booked anyway. This was the best decision I have made in quite a while. My original dates were 05/10 - 05/13 but because my traveling companion flight was cancelled because of bad weather, we were delayed in checking in by a day. Even though I called the 1 800 number to advised them of the delay and was advised there was not going to be a problem, when I arrived at the hotel to check in, there was no reservation listed for my party. I was truly disappointed because when I booked the room, I was told there was no cancellation available and the charge was already taken from my account. I was more disappointed because it was late and I didn't have a room for the night. I immediately showed the desk agent Charlene my reservation information and she said we will find you a room. That automatically made everything right. We also told her our flight dilemma. She suggested we speak with the General Manager in the morning to see if we could get a adjustment on the bill. I can truly say her customer service was truly exceptional. She went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met . She is truly an asset to your hotel. In a day and time when the customer service is so important, she stands out and would make your hotel win in any race that you are in. I also want to compliment your general manager. She understood our problem, and helped us with the bill adjustment. My friend and I have decided to spend next Mother's Day in Charleston also. You can believe we will be staying at this hotel every time we visit the city.
"Enjoyed our stay!"
The accommodations were what we expected and the price was reasonable. The location is easy to reach from the Highway or Interstate. The parking lot is too small when the hotel is sold out. Charlene at the front desk was outstanding. She really saved the day for us. We arrived and relaized we forgot our garmet bag at home with clothing for a wedding taking place shortly after our arrival. She quickly directed us to a shopping mall. Her suggestion saved the day for us and we arrived at the wedding properly dressed. Also, Charlene always had a wonderful smile on her face and was friendly to everyone. This included a few guests that lacked manners at the Breakfast Bar.
"Very Nice"
We recently spent two nights at this location. The front desk check-in was quick and courteous. The breakfast served was good with scrambled eggs and waffles. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a tour bus checking in when we did and we had to wait quite a while for a cart for our luggage. I had asked for a quiet location on an upper floor and we didn't hear any noise. We didn't use the pool or exercise room. The only draw back was that the hotel only has one exit/entrance driveway. You can only turn right when leaving the hotel so are required to go around the block to go to town. However, it was very nice to have an easy exit from town when going to Savannah. The drive to downtown is about 10 minutes.
