Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket

Very old worldly feel to the hotel. We arrived late at night and were checked in immediately. Very friendly and cooperative staff. The location is Absolute's plus point, bang opposite the beach- delightful view! Had a nice room but our AC leaked at night. However, the staff was prompt in its attendance. The restaurant Pappadums serves excellent breakfast.

Recently I stayed at Sea Pearl. The service in arranging and coping with my transfer request was fantastic - thanks Annie. I was there as a member of ABSOLUTE. The Sea Pearl is a bit old and tired but my room was spacious, in the style of a minio suite with a good sized bed area, separate lounge room and a good sized bath with separate shower recess and a kitchenette. Entirely adequate even if not spanking new and not flash. The room contained the biggest bed I have ever seen - easily big enough for four people! The restaurant was okay - had a brekkie there and an Indian dinner (ditto). Pool is small but was clean and I seemed to be only person who used it over the course of six days. The hotel is well located across the road from a good beach area and in easy walking distance of all the markets, shops and attractions of Bangla Road etc which are a feature of Patong.

This is my first travel experience to Phuket. I booked the hotel Absolute Sea Pearl by chance thru online (agoda.com) as this vacation is for my honeymoon vacation. The hotel provides best user experience and comfort. Foods are nice same as the room. A perfect blend of soulful, romantic & enjoyable experience indeed! On my next vacation to Phuket i will book the same hotel again! Highly recommended for couples who likes a good stay with sea view.

This was our second visit to the Absolute Sea Pearl. We have time share with another club and exchanged our 'free week' for a week at Patong. Although an older style resort, we much prefer this the the new style resort that Absolute are building in more remote locations near Patong. The many years old, the Sea Pearl is in pretty good condition and could, in some way, be kept as a monument to the many lives lost here in the Boxing Day tsunami of 2004. The Sea Pearl is in an excellent location, right on the beach front and in walking distance to all of Patong's attractions yet quite enough to relax as required. Our unit was a 1 bedroom with mini kitchen. There was room service each day. Unit was more spacious than we expected. Although there was an older style TV, there was an excellent selection of international channels available. Unit had free Wi Fi. The bathroom was large with bath and separate shower. The pool in fine, but in a very public area, between the restaurant and main roads. The excellent beach at Patong is merely across the road. Staff are most friendly, courteous and super efficient. Overall we had a very pleasant week at the Sea Pearl and given the opportunity, could easily spend more time there.

This hotel is in a great location, close to all the shopping in Patong and very close to bars and entertainment and across the road from the beach. The rooms are very clean, tidy and open. The staff are friendly and overall it is not a bad hotel. The Ocean view rooms are the best but usually always booked out, the street view rooms are good but if your a light sleeper don't book in these rooms for the bars are noisey all night. There are quiet rooms on the other side of hotel but you don't get a view.

My wife and I stay at this hotel every year for 2 weeks for the past 4 years and are booked in again this year 22nd July 2013 for another 2 weeks. We have experienced most room types, Ocean View are the best but you need to book very early to get one of these. The rooms overlooking the bars are also ok but you need to be a heavy sleeper otherwise you won't get any sleep at all, I like watching the action on the street so it doesn't bother me and we are heavy sleepers. If you don't want a view and like a quiet room they are available on the other side of the hotel. The Breakfast has a good selection and a bit of variety the only negitive with breakfast is the taxi drivers leaning on the wall hassling you for day trips while all you want to do is enjoy the sound of the beach and each others company.

The hotel is in a good location on the beachfront, however it's more like a 3 star city hotel than a beach resort. It's quite old fashioned and could do with an upgrade. There was no balcony or view which was disappointing given its location. Some rooms have balconies and views - we got a back room, but the upside was that it was very quiet. Our standard room was very spacious, with a desk, couple of chairs and coffee table, good size tv & selection of channels and also a DVD player. Wifi worked quite well in the room. The fridge was larger than normal for a hotel room and there was a bar with a large sink and a couple of drawers with 2 plates and knives and forks. It was a good space to make your own b'fast (only kettle & tea/coffee supplies provided). On the plus side, the front desk and housekeeping service was excellent and there's a good free shuttle service which is worth using in the heat and to avoid the relatively high cost of local taxis and tuk tuks for short journeys. I think the hotel is Absolute Group's marketing centre so it is full of sales people having meetings with members and potential members. Apart from that the hotel was quiet and didn't appear very busy. There are probably better places to stay for a beach holiday.

Stayed in the Sea Pearl for the second time and found it just as comfortable and well located as the first. Large spacious rooms, over the road from the beach with very comfortable beds. A little in need of maintenance, but has charm and character.

We have had the pleasure of staying at Sea Pearl many times. One of our favorites. The staff are all our best friends,and we have never experienced anything less than top class hospitality. Do try the wonderful spa when staying ----ultimate relaxation. Walking distance to anything in Patong, and Beach front location. Over the road and onto the beach. A very well kept pool and simply an ambiance all around that says welcome back when ever we stay. Home away from home. Just love staying at Sea Pearl

I stayed 3 nights at this great hotel right at the beach in Patong, Phuket. Very convenient location close to evereything you can ever dream of when going for vacation. The staff was very friendly and professional....and thye spoke very good English! Room was great with plenty of space and overall it was very clean and tidy.

From our arrival to the hotel, up to the day we left everything was perfect!! Really nice hotel, nice room, friendly staff!! Although it was not at the center of town we had so good time there that it didn't bothered us.

Booked online with no problems. Top floor with beach front balcony room. Awsome view of whole of Patong beach. Not much traffic but close to tuk tuks or motor bike taxis. You can also hire a car with driver to show you around. We used Mard 08788 99788. He was well priced and speaks English. Hotel staff very good and remember your room number when picking up key. Beds fantastic , lots of places have rock hard beds. Will stay again.

Hotel is located at the southern end of Patong Beach and most areas of the town are quite accessibe from the hotel. We stayed for a week and were quite lucky as we had a spacious room on the 3rd floor with a view of the beach. Ensuite bathroom facilities were very good with bath and seperate shower. It was clean and well serviced each day. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We attended an obligatory presentation during our stay but there was no pressure to buy or become members. Our representative , Stefan, was quite helpful and gave us some useful local information for our holiday. There is an indian restaurant beside the hotel, which was quite good and we ate there on one occasion. We opted to eat in various other restaurants uptown on the other nights. There was a taxi service right outside the hotel and we hired a taxi for most of 1 day at a very reasonable cost to see the sights that we wanted to see and at our own pace.We also negotiated a good price to take us to Ao Nang beach near Krabi on the other side of the bay as we were going there for the next part of our holiday. It was a 3 hour journey but the taxi was comfortable with a good driver and we didn't feel the journey.

It's on a hill, so there is a bit of a walk from the lobby to the upper rooms. It is clean, modern, with excellent internet and tv. The front desk is very friendly and very Thai. Housekeeping is great! Since we are so up on the resort- there is no noise. The hotel has only expensive offerings for tours and recommended that we book our own adventures.

A friend and I recently stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. First of all the service we had was great, we attended a compulsory 'timeshare' meeting which we were not pressured to buy nor were we treated differently for not buying. The front desk staff were amazing! And the house keeping was great! Always fresh towels, rooms made around the same time each day. We also arrived early around 11am and were able to check in right away instead of waiting until the 3pm check in time, at not additional cost! The food at the adjoining restaurant was nice, but we ate elsewhere most nights. The only major downfall to this hotel, would be the pool. The location of this hotel was great, no where near bangala road, as one person mentioned! It's near a few bars but we had no trouble sleeping at all! Our air-con in our room was great!

We regularly stay at this hotel. We stayed there in April this year and I am about to return in July. They have begun refurbishing the rooms and our room had a new TV and a new bed which was nice. I quite like the pool even though it is small, as I tend to spend most of my time swimming at the beaches anyway. However, the pool surrounds could do with an upgrade - more loungers and more umbrellas are needed. The staff always provide great service and assist with any request. The restaurant has a great view of the beach and has good quality meals. I always stay in the sea view rooms and have never had any trouble. Looking forward to my return visit.

Pleasantly surprised. Extremely friendly staff, could not do enough for us and did it always with a smile. Absolutely clean rooms, serviced daily. Good atmosphere and food in the restaurant, even with evening entertainment right next to the pool. Got pampered by the well trained staff at the spa on an almost daily basis. This hotel is right opposite the famous Patong beach. Great sunsets. Next to lots of shops and restaurants of all categories but quiet enough to sleep well. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I am ABSOLUTELY loving my stay at Absolute Sea Pearl Beach Resort! I've been here for just over 2 weeks now & have almost 2 weeks to go (all at the same resort). I came to Thailand with my parents who were staying at another Absolute resort which was very modern & beautiful however we all agreed that Absolute Sea Pearl had a perfect location so when we asked if my parents could swap & stay here it was arranged within 24 hours at no extra cost. Absolute Sea Pearl is a little old fashioned but that doesn't bother us, the rooms are very clean which is what is most important. Some rooms are different sizes but my room is massive! I even have 2 beds pushed together which makes the bed enormous! The balcony to my room overlooks construction next door but it isn't Absolute's fault the owner of the neighbouring property are building/renovating. The rooms dont have cooking facilities but with such cheap & yummy food at your fingertips who would honestly want to be cooking? There is a computer area for use by resort guests which has free internet (I'm using it right now) and a bar on the bottom level. There is also a restaurant which serves a fantastic buffet breakfast featuring western & Asian cuisine and a huge selection of fresh fruit. We've also had a few dinners here which were delicious. There is a FamilyMart (like a 7 Eleven) next door, a few massage places next to that & a great bar across the road. The resort is also opposite the beach and only a short walk (no more than 10 mins) from Bangala Street which is where all the nightlife is. This means youre close to the action but not close enough to put up with all the noise when you want to sleep. There are plenty of shops & restaurants along the way too, everything is at your fingertips. Seriously, if location is important to you then this is the place to be! This does seem to be where all the Absolute timeshare presentations take place but they seemed perfectly fine when we told them we weren't looking to purchase any further timeshare as we already own 5 weeks (my parents & I combined) in Australia. I have read some reports about salesmen but you need to remember that salesmen are just that, salesmen. The staff and management of this resort have been nothing but friendly, accommodating & generous with their time toward us. Even when I was sick & vomited all over the floor a lovely young man came rushing to my aid, covering up the mess & helping me clean myself up before he slowly walked me to my room. Within minutes he was back at my door again with a scented face washer to help me feel better. This was ABSOLUTELY incredible! If I had been in his position I would have freaked out & made someone else deal with it. When I later apologised to some staff members they were genuinely confused as they seemed to think nothing of it. The next day I even had the resort manager come to me to ask if I was okay. This was my first trip to Thailand & I've loved it. I can't wait to come back & there is nowhere else I would rather stay! Thank you to all the staff & management at Absolute Sea Pearl for all you have done for me & my family.

A lot of bad reviews here but my wife and I absoultly loved it here and we are booked in again this June 2011 for 2 weeks. Location is great, room we had was beautiful, tiny balcony but nice view of the ocean and street, noise wasn't a problem for us I think it's good to see people having fun and the traffic etc all adds to the atmosphere of Thailand. The service was great although a bit slow to start with at breakfast but if u make an effort to smile and speak and be polite with your waiter they will look after you. We loved our stay here and are booked in again on the 15th june 2011 for another 2 weeks, can't wait.

We spent a week at the Sea Pearl. Admittedly this hotel is due for a refurb, but the rooms are very large, are clean and comfortable, and the location is superb, being over the road from the beach and right on the edge of the Patong Beach strip. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. When we go back to Phuket we will stay there again.
