We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation every time we been here. The rooms are excellent - very spacious, the spa and fitness center are great, the restaurants are very good, the breakfast buffet is huge, but the best part is the pools. The pools are enormous, with multiple levels, spectacular views of the ocean and plenty of seating options. The resort is located halfway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen providing convenient opportunities to visit both areas. We highly recommend visiting Playa del Carmen for the more charming Mexican town experience with great shopping, restaurants and nightlife. I must see is the evening fire show at the Blue Parrot. However, there are plenty of activities for both adults and children at the resort so you can have an amazing vacation and never even have to leave the resort.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Written Review

"Wonderful experience"
My family took a vacation to this resort. We had an amazing time. The rooms are quite comfortable, and made us feel like we were indeed in Mexico (whereas some places would feel very... U.S.) The dining hall (I guess it was more the dining building) was absolutely incredible! Every one of us looked forward to the meals every single day. The food was positively delicious, and the incredible selection of the buffet was amazing. The pools were wonderful too - we could spend hours down there, and not get bored at all. If you ever want to splurge on a trip to Mexico, I highly recommend it.
"Good week stay at this hotel, relaxing with lots of sun.."
I own time shares in this chain of hotels, and just decided to make a quick trip back to Nuevo Vallarta which is about 15 min form Puerto Vallarta. The resort had comfy beds, good room service, was very clean, food was average. Good restaurants close by at the marina or about 2 min drive leaving the resort on the right hand side..all u can eat nightly specials...yummy.. clean pools and plenty of chairs with or with out shade. However, the pool is situated close to the beach so there is always a strong breeze coming from the ocean...some liked it and some did not..the beach was well groomed...
"Great resort - beautiful grounds"
The service in this resort is, like most Mexican resort, exceptional. The grounds here are fabulous - lush and very tropical. It is a big resort, so not as intimate and the size makes it difficult to get to know people. I had a room above the lounge and could hear the nightly entertainment from my room- which I enjoyed. My room was quite spacious - a 2 bedroom. I wish the kitchens were full sized as I try not to eat out and enjoy preparing meals in my room.
"Great Vacation"
Great resort with ocean views from half or golf course views from the other half of the rooms. We loved the bar beside a lovely infinity pool overlooking the ocean with view of the Sunsets. Path to the pool was shared with the shuttle but they were just finishing some stunning renovations when we were there so there would be several routes now. The shuttle was frequent. The shuttle was great for taking you to the end of the property for excursions off site. The staff out front were really great! Nothing was a problem and everything was immediate, they should be commended. Pool was nice but not huge. Pool service was great. Sushi restaurant onsite is amazing but very expensive. Italian restaurant just outside resort is very good and reasonably priced. Recommend going to Bucarias. The market is great and best Mexican food ever at the big orange restaurant on the shore.
"good hotel with great service and well kept grounds"
Stayed two weeks in a two bed timeshare room. The room was kept very clean with fresh towels and sheets everyday. Room furniture could use some updating. Room service was very good. Any "problem" was attended to immediately, and a follow-up phone call was made to see if the request was dealt with. The hotel and resort grounds are very attractive and well maintained. The pool(s) are large and constantly tended to. Bar service around the pool and beach is more than adequate. Beach is is nice and large, however, the constant waves made it rather difficult to actually do any swimming. The pool water is just a stone's throw away however. There are several restaurants on the resort grounds and the food is reasonably priced and very good. For those of you that enjoy a hearty breakfast, only two restaurants on the resort grounds serves breakfast so your choices are more limited. We took a taxi into Puerto Vallarta on a couple occasions. A stroll along the Malecon boardwalk proved to be very interesting with statues and sand sculptures on display. Hope you get to see the "sandman" as well. Lots of stores and restaurants to keep shoppers and gourmands happy too. Follow the rule of thumb to avoid Montezuma's Revenge. There were eight relatives ranging in age from 2yrs to 72yrs of age, and not one of us managed to avoid the dreaded tourista trot! We couldn't pinpoint the sources, but we all got sick in varying stages during the last week of our stay. All in all, we had a great time with mostly good weather. Note that if you go during late January and early February. take a sweater or jacket because the evening got pretty darn cool.
"great for a relaxing holiday but bring your watch!"
There was an amazing array of birdlife, humming birds and other brightly coloured birds right in the colourful, well maintained hotel gardens which fills the space between the swimming pool and the hotel nicely. In fact walking to the pool (huge and amazing and with several different sections, always something for any type of swimmer which makes up for the fact that you can't swim at the beach, at least not during red flag January) is like going through a tropical rain forest. in addition to the selection of restaurants in the 7 hotel complex there are some very nice finds in the direction of the marina and beyond. There was no suggestion of any charge for the safe or the towels in fact we thought the place was reasonable for the quality of the accommodation and benefits on site. We went in some excellent excursions - the whale watching was amazing (only dec - March) and the snorkeling was not a paradise (the water was too murky to see much) but the atmosphere on the boats was friendly and helped by free drinks on the boats For those who like to explore a trip to Puerto vallerta centro is recommended (possible by bus or taxi) and walking around the marina is advisable. Great for a relaxing holiday but bring your watch (so you know when happy hour is!!! + any of the activities that might interest you)! The kitchens are very good, and there are some convenience shops around for when you want to eat or drink in.
"Lovely Resort"
The resort is absolutely lovely. The furniture is a bit dated in the rooms. We had a 1br suite and it was spacious.Everything is spotless. Grounds are beautiful. Only small complaint would be the balcony is very narrow, not that great to sit out there. Staff are extreemly friendly and accomodating. We only ate lunches at various restaurants at the resort & felt the prices were reasonable. We went out for dinner every evening to off resort spots. Try Eddies & Prime 159... both are excellent. Eddies was a very good value, appies, drinks, main course & desert for 2 people about $50. Can't get that anywhere we eat in Canada. Highly recommend Vallarta Advertures for tours. We did the Outdoor Adventure & it was amazing. Also did the Rythems of the Night & it was excellent as well. Great tour company. We did go to the time share presentation. We were concerned because of the negative comments on Trip Advisor. It was actually pleasant. We had breakfast and the presentation and were out of there in under 3 hrs. No high pressure. We already own 2 timeshares, so were not interested in buying & simply went for the incentives. The TS people were quiet polite. We've been to many presentations all over & I would have to say this was one of the easiest. Chatted with lots of people at the pool about it and no one had anything bad to say about the presentation, so I have to wonder if the time share people were rating their clients what they would have to say. All in all we thought the resort, staff and ammentities were great & would definately return & recommend it to others.
"Multiple Families Vacation!!!"
My family and I have been to this resort at least three times in the past years and I must say "Growth" Beautiful even under construction. We occupied two, two bedroom units that had more than enough space for the 11 family members. new walmart location made shopping and cooking for a crowd easy. The breakfast buffet was wonderful but meals were expensive for large groups, so we took advantage of the kitchen. I did find that a price tag was on everything bottled water and even coffee packs in the room. Time share presentation went a little long and there was confusion with the bill at checkout. Loved the spa, pools and activities, we just found out that everything costs.
"fun in the sun"
We traveled with our 4 yo daughter and had a wonderful time. Room was beautiful with lots of space and small kitchen. Did not like the time share meeting - total waste. Told it would be only 1/2 hour and it was 4 hours and then we left!!! Parking was OK, but you need to plan ahead to get your car as it takes time. Pool and food were great. Beach was awesome. We did go into town and bought groceries but ate in the restaurants about 1/2 of the times. This was my Mother's Day gift and I loved it. Still under construction, but we never even heard a thing or noticed any construction vehicles. My daughter loved the Kids Club and it is very reasonable. Lots of activities for her and completely safe and secure. Gave mom and dad the ability to do an excursion and have some free time. Also used the on site baby sitting service which was a little expensive but worth it for a quiet dinner out. We would definitely go again.
"Ocean, Lazy river and Beautiful Surroundings All In One Place"
We enjoyed the entire facility = it took 3 days! Gorgeous, most courteous staff ever and great rooms. The place is so big they have little shuttle carts to take you from place to place but it is done right! The lazy river is my favorite! Loved it! Our 2 bd suite had beautiful view of the lazy river, the resort and the ocean = PERFECT! Would we go back? ABSOLUTELY! Take a taxi (cheap) to go to a nearby Walmart for groceries. The onsite grocery is very expensive and too upscale for everyday. Every person on staff is top notch and you get the feeling like the are genuinely happy you are there. Most helpful and courteous. Most everyone speaks English to some degree.
"Felt like royalty"
We were actually in the newest portion of the resort this is the third time we stayed here. Twice in Puerta Vallarta and once in Acapulco. These resorts are magnificent you will really feel like royalty staying here. Rooms are beautiful. Staff is fantastic. And the amenities out of this world. A great place to stay but if you truly want to see and enjoy the Mexican culture leave the facility and see what Mexico is all about.
"Second visit not quite the same!"
We were fortunate enough to share for a second time a two bedroom unit (timeshare) that my parents own there. We have a 7 year-old son that loves pools and water features so we were excited to learn we were returning to the resort. Our last visit was about 6 years ago. Boy, were we surprised to see the many changes. We were made aware of some changes while reading the reviews and comments made by recent visitors, but nothing prepares you for the reality that awaits you. This area is undergoing major expansions. New Hotels are being built at astonishing pace along with huge changes and improvements to the grounds.
"Mi casa es su casa"
We have been coming to here since we first purchased a time share in 1991. We have not missed a year. When we first arrive, everyone greets us with 'welcome home' and that is just how we feel! The bell boys, the waiters (especially at Balche by the pool) do everything they can to make us feel at home. The activities kids all work especially hard also! Alan, Adrian (who is in training and will hopefully be one of the 'regulars') Iriana, Abraham, Luis and Miguel. Temo gave us our 'update' letting us know what new things are on the agenda and was very informative. We enjoyed the fabulous shows at the Santuario! We especially loved JayCee.....she was wonderful!!!!!! She truly got the audiences going! We usually don't have to go through RCI, but this year we did.
